Three UK (H3G) 1.28 RUU - HTC One X

Does anyone have this? I really need it right now!

Doesn't exist as it's barely even out as an OTA - if at all!!

Three said that they weren't releasing 1.28 but were working on the 'next update' instead.. but we got it pushed today

I spoke to three today about the update the said they dont know when it will come out its still in testing, I said to give their guys a poke as the 1.28 fixes many major problems especially the screen bouncing software bug.
Chances are that had nothing to do with it but hey I like to think it helped

Guys, what about the 1.26 RUU?

RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_H3G_UK_1.26.771.2_Radio_1.1204.90.13H_release_251403_signed.exe is the file name I found it by googling the other day, cant remember the link now as im in work. If you really struggle I can upload it someplace when I get home.

Thanks mate, you're a life saver. I have to send my phone back today for an exchange and i thought i'd totally bricked it.
Found 2 dead links but found one working from a german site???
Here is a link- http://uploaded.to/file/b4rffixe/from/fkny6j

That should be fine the file itself will be UK specific

Any joy with this? I'm wanting to go back to stock but can't as no 1.28 RUU

cant you flash the 1.26 RUU?

Doesn't work as my hboot (I think) is too new now after flashing a 1.29 custom rom.
Fails on the update.

how do you revert when that happens

I don't know where RUU's originally come from however I have emailed three asking them to provide the 1.28 RUU.

Mate, you need to flash boot.img from the thread you downloaded the rom from. It'll stop all your issues.

Updated to 1.29.206.11 anybody know whats changed and am glad to see O2 is finally catching up
Can anyone tell me if the HBOOT and radio get updated in this update, or is it just the system files that get an uplift?
I'm running a custom ROM, so I can't run the O2 1.26 ruu!
Anyone know if there's a 1.28 O2 ruu knocking around?

Did you don't keep a back up of stock just in case? That's what I'm doing,
flash stock boot.IMG, flashing stock recovery, then fastboot up cwm restoring stock then upgrading.
Then right back into cwm to back it up.

That's what I would have done if I hadn't been stupid enough to not make a backup of stock straight after doing the 1.28 OTA.
No stock backup = I'm screwed until a 1.28 ruu comes out (or S-OFF!)

Providing you are using the correct RUU for your phone then yes you should be able to downgrade without any issues. Bare in mind though that OTA updates will pop up asking you if you want to upgrade.

Just download THIS RUU and instal it, it should fix everything ...
Or you always can instal a custom ROM, there are step-by-step videos on youtube that you can follow if you cant see anything on your screen
When you reboot your phone to bootloader, do you have the same issue ?

i have the exact RUU on hand
and yes, strangely enough, in bootloader the screen is off as well. but i can navigate inside and go to fastboot and others...
i hope the RUU fixes it.
i also read on some other threads that the RUU that ends with .11, in which you previously mentioned, holds the key to fix all display-related faults...so if this RUU didn't work, next .11 RUU could be it?
thanks for your time!

[Q] Cant unroot/unbrick.

Hey all, so I have spent days trying to fix my htc one x, I tried the downloading a shipped rom (based on tmobile) but it didnt work, I then found out it was because I was trying to flash a ruu at a lower version than mine, im currently on tmob version 1.29.110.11 and need to get that downloaded so I can flash it, however the link to it on the shipped ruu downloads thread is dead.
Can anyone send me a mirror to that download? im desperate here.
After I tried flashing a version lower than the one im running I am just getting bootloops, I tried extracting the rom from the installer but when I tried to flash the system.img I kept getting an error, was that because I was attempting to flash an RUU lower than the one I have running?
Any help would be appreciated, pulling my hair out here.

[Q] Need 2.17 3 UK RUU

I desparately need the 2.17 H3G (Three UK) RUU to restore my HOX from a bootloop. If anyone could help they would be a lifesaver.
You only need the RUU if you want to go back to stock.
If you want to fix your bootloop, you need to fastboot flash the latest recovery, fastboot flash boot boot.img fastboot erase cache, and then in recovery clear caches and wipe partitions, flash the ROM.

Got the same problem. I've read a lot the last days, trying to find out if revert to stock would solve the issue. But it looks to me like it wouldn't..?
It's very confusing, some people says its software problem, other it's hardware and their only advice is to return the phone. This is super frustrating! My phone is useless!
if it's software or hardware problem why it just apear after root ??
hope we find any way to solve it

Thing is; people get this issue wether rooted or stock.
I'm thinking of following this simple process (option 2): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1859714, doing it with the latest RUU (for me, I guess, since i bought my device in Sweden, it would be "RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.29.401.12_Radio_2.1204.127.19_release_271851_signed.exe"). But I don't know if it's worth it, or if that is the right RUU for me? My original version-main is: 1.28.401.9. Do you/anyone know if it would be more safe to use the original, or could I jump to the latest right away?
Also, I really would like find a way to fix this without going through the unrooting process. The last, and most important, step (6) looks like an make or brake thing to do...
"6. On your pc run the RUU that you downloaded earlier, follow the steps as prompted and patiently wait for it to finish.
REMEMBER your phone should be charged ABOVE 50% AND if the ruu or restore is INTERRUPTED 4 any reason during restore your
phone will be PERMANENTLY BRICKED.."
Here's a video, showing exactly how my phone looks/behaves:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdyKHf0F7RA

Thanks, but I think I'll stick with the 1.36 hboot for now, since I read somewhere that these black/flickering screen issues can reduce within 2 weeks of use, screen brightness at max. Got something with voltage calibrating to do, if I understood it correct... And as far as I know, you can't downgrade from 1.36, yet.
The phone now works "ok", very few flickering problems, as long as it's on. If/when I turn the screen of, it usually meen I have to reboot the device, since it just won't wake up the screen again.
Therefore, I still wonder if it's a hardware fault, since it got significantly better after the hboot update?
"dude" can I ask you how to do voltage calibrating ?

I actually don't know what that is supposed to meen.. I just read it somewhere on one of them 1000 pages of nonsense I've stumbled over the past three days.. For real!
Anyway, I have mailed with HTC a couple of mails (they're seriously fast at answering, gotta give 'em that..), but they won't answer the simple question "Is it hardware/software?". Which is frustrating. And I also got pretty standard suggestions; format cache, system, etc... As I told them I had already done that, they said I should send the phone to them for repair. Don't know yet what to do.. I really would like to know if it's hardware/software problem!
Dude if you think its a hardware fault ,why dont you visit the nearest htc service center and send the phone back.
