I dont know either my question should be under Q&A or Theme threads but I need to ask something.
Is there an AOSP ICS theme for stock rom on HTC One X? I love stock ICS look but I dont want to flash custom rom just to get those theme. Really appreciate if someone could point me the thread.
I've already check on theme section but not as what am I expected.
Thanks sir.
You can try either Nova or Apex Launcher (basic launchers are free from the Google Play Store) - both are made for ICS devices only and both will give you that blue "Tron" like look.

That launcher will heavy on ram usage,I'm looking for theme that stays on the system even after reboot.
Thanks for your answer.

Unfortunately honeycomb is an os which is made for tablets only, so it's hard to get it ported to an "normal" smartphone. But some of the developers have actually made it to get android 3.0 running on the HTC Desire.
I also wanted to have the honeycomb style on my phone so I downloaded a theme.
There are two ways to get this working:
1. You can install a launcher like ADW launcher and then search for a honeycomb theme.
2. Or you flash a themed custom rom like simply honey which also looks like honeycomb.
But the seconed way is far more risky so read everything three times before doing this! Because if you make an mistake you can brick your phone.
If you want I can post the links to the threads.

For the first solution just search for ADW launcher and the theme in the market ^^
Here is the link to a custom rom for the SGS: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1020720
But this is a rom which is especially made for the SGS so I don´t know if this would work with your phone!!
Please ask the dev if this would work!
Unfortunatelly I don´t know if there is a custom rom for your phone which is especially made for it...
I think that it would be better to download the ADW launcher witch the honeycomb theme
Please someone can do a black theme of mms , system settings, email and dialer background of stock sense app?

yes, it is possible..if you don't know how to do it, you can simply download the ics messaging in the market
i can get themed mms.apk of my ex rom ics 4.0.3 and put in system/app?
Just look in my Theme thread for inverted AOSP apps in One S Forum. These should also work on your device.
really works with odexed stock rom?

Exactly what i've been saying that it should be in black, that way it drains the battery less as well, plus I think it would look nicer.
Battery drainage maybe reduced by VERY little but still I think it would increase it abit.
Cant be that hard for some hardcore developer? Basically just invert the color as the OP says.
Would definitely like to have this on the HOX, the white mms app looks so old fashioned its sad

I am considering porting a few AOSP Based Themes To Touchwiz 4.1. Any Themes In Particular You Guys Want To See Ported?
Any simple dark-ish themes would be great (I'd be happy if I could just get the stock AOSP look in TW!) How exactly do you install themes in TW without Theme Manager?
Hey jook
I'm a big fan of the inverted themes like Black Infinitum and similar. If I could find a TW ROM that I had to run, I would be looking for a theme like that. If you did that, I'd smack your thanks button like a full-auto Glock!

Hey guys I'm new to this and I'm currently running the jedi rom, I wanted to know is there specific theme launcher that I need for the jedi.
You dont need any specific launcher at all, it all boils down to preference. I personally like HoloLauncher HD because of how customizable it is. Most people use something like nova luancher, adw or trebuchet.

If you're looking to theme the rom it doesn't use a theme chooser. Just go the the themes section and flash one you like the same way you flashed the rom.
Just got next launcher on my Jedi Master 9 w/ BG theme, and although im still playing around with everything, there is definitely a very unique setup here...
Flashaholics should definitely try this setup as a DD for a few days!
Although Next Launcher is a pretty penny, one thing ive seen, worth almost half that itself, is atleast there is finally a way to get rid of homescreen gridlocks for icons/widgets!! One, can truly customize their phone and when you add in some of the other theme ingredients from a BG or CinHD, etc flash and it all comes out pretty amazing

It's A LOT easier if you just take any ROM that you like and just put a theme over it.
Like for example I am currently running patwip's Unofficial CM 10.1.3 latest release, and there are themes available like this : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tmobile.theme.HTC.EleganceX
21Mb download and everything, icons, status bar, colors, settings look like an HTC Sense UI
If you prefer using the stock ROM, simply download a good launcher like Go Launcher EX Prime, it supports and has 1000s of themes, several of which have Sense UI.
But this theme style will be restricted only to your app drawer and homescreen, so not as thorough as in CM.
SenseUI can be ported, but only to devices with similar hardware. You can't just port the launcher because it has many dependencies including the kernel. You pretty much have to port a whole sense ROM which would be a pain for any dev to undertake, several have tried and failed on other devices. So it's just easier to theme a launcher.
EDIT (found some more info) : Apparently, the framework for HTC is closed source which means devs can't use it and make it public fearing legal consequences.
Hope that helps answer your questions

I get that, but I like mentioned in my last post. SenseUI launcher cannot be ported because the framework is closed source and has strong dependencies on the hardware of HTC phones, so I was suggesting alternatives.
Besides, CM themeing is not restricted to just icons and looks of the launcher, depending on the theme/version the following things are themed : frameworks-res, systemui, settings, contacts, mms/sms + widget, phone, trebuchet, browser, apollo + widget, keyboard.
So it gives a pretty good feel of a ported launcher without compromising much memory or functionality.
