Test it with stock ROM and stock kernel.
If it still happens something is wrong with your device

lol I was about to say the same.
You should try a different kernel, ROM and/or baseband.
Try clearing your battery stats
Sent from my LT26i using xda premium
I got this other weird problem. I wiped the battery stats, use it till it drop dead, then I charged my phone till it shows 100%. Then i power it down and took out the battery and insert it back again. However, once the phone turned on, it shows only 75%.
I read that this usually happens to extended battery coz the kernel doesnt match with the battery reading or something like that. However, im using stock battery and still this happens to me.
My phone had always have battrry draining problem since i first bought it. Been using it for 4 months and the battery still drain ~10% an hour.
Im using xperia s beta rom v5, doomkernel v19,baseband 56

Try another ROM

Use baseband 64 I think is better. Also try some other kernel.

In that case, I reckon you should exchange it for a new one since its still under warranty. My modded Arc stays nice and cool most of the time and only gets slightly warm when charging or gaming..
Yes my arc s after the ICS update started heating up on the top backside of the phone. It is with ICS since the nordic update was released and it didnt have any problems so far just the heating
its normal..arc s has cpu on the top back just below camera..it will heatup like hell if u use mobile data..wats the temp?
Well yes my phone heats up only when i use the 3g internet and i use it for browsing mostly.Even with 1h of talking the phone doesnt heat up i gues its when the procesor is being higly used
Me and my parents got the s3 while ics was still out. We upgraded to jb (4.1) now the battery don't last as long as it did, dad says it has taken at least 24 hours off his battery. How do we fix the battery issue and rooting etc is not an option! Thanks

try different socks... In all seriousness do a factory reset... while updating to a newer version of android it is best to start from scratch.

you might need to do multiple battery cycles. fully drain and recharge. or if your device is rooted. try the battery calibrator app in the play store.
As mentioned rooted is not an option but will try the cycle, also the phone seems a lot slower than when ics

You should still root and flash a custom ROM. Something like cm10.1
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Ours is still on contract and parents won't root cause they think it will mess it up so need to get it to work properly with the stock rom, update is the problem I flashes mine back to ics and it's mega fast and the battery lasts ages.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Well did research. The batteries don't have memory's so they don't need battery cycles to fix the issue any more help ta

Flashed the ROM and for some reason my per me is taking a very very long time to charge. Anyone else have this issue. It doesn't matter if its my extended battery or my stock battery

I do not have this issue. Reflash the ROM , make sure you full wipe. If it is still slow at charging try ktoonsez kernel. Every phone is different, maybe yours doesn't like underwear.
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda premium
I did a full wipe and even tried to flash KT kernel and when I did that I got a failed notification. So it won't let me flash KT kernel. From dead I charged my phone, while off, for seven hours and it only got to 70 percent and it was slow getting to that point. Battery consumption on the other hand has not changed at all.

Try downloading everything again. If you can always check the md5 , sounds like a botched download or a bad flash. Start over from the very beginning.

Depends on the usage of the phone. With normal usage I can expect to full days of battery life from my Note 2
Hi... I get more than 18 hours with my ( I mean really heavy usage )Wifi Calls and occasional gaming...
Try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809 for a better battery reading and then disable or force stop the battery draining app.
Just show us a screen shot of yourbattery stats and screen on time please. With wifi on and face book chatting sms and Web browsing i got 8h screen in time but Wythenshawe custom rom and kernel. Underclock and undervolt.
With stock from i got 7h screen on time with power save me on

A bit on the low side. Like the suggestions above, try lowering screen brightness. Is this on heavy usage/gaming? If it is, it's actually quite par on the course. But yeah, can be improved.
There no secret of you play you have to undervolt cpu/gpu and underclock. Just put ON the power save mode. There is no lag with
Brightness is at low... n i am using stock rom n wifi on most of the time.. bttry is still under wrrnty so is it ok ..or should i go for replacemnt??

Heya,
I have had this happen once before, the battery percentage went up a little bit after watching a movie when it went back to less intensive tasks, it only did it once or twice so it should go away
