Galaxy X Original Image - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hi, i was hardly try to find the Galaxy X original image.
The Galaxy X is the Brazilian Galaxy nexus with 4.0.2 rom and some carry customization for Brazilian regulations.
anyone has this?
thanks

google stock images only support: takju, yakju, mysid (archived).
your best bet is to find someone with a nandroid backup of a stock version.
what is the model of the galaxy x? it might work with yakju... but i wouldnt do that

Is the same Yakju, so the default google roms works great (i'm using IMM76L it by the way) but in case of a possible assistance i will need this rom.
So, as i lost my nandroid backup i was wondering if someone has the default images

if its the same as yakju then you can flash the images provided by google
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
i dont know too much about the galaxy x so its your own risk. why exactly do you need stock images? you need to return it? if anything u can always flash a rom.

am I missing something :S? imm76k on gsm yakju

Hi,
I can't find out witch version my galaxy nexus is ,
It has to be an GSM international yakju but the
But the build number(imm76k) is for the Verizon cdma,
Judging by the Baseband number(I9250xxla2) it should have the imm76i, but it doesn't .
I had a Samsung galaxy s vibrant before this one so I'm
More or less familiar with android flashing and rooting. But I have no clue on what to do next .I wanted to root it, instal cwm and flash a 4.1 official rom
I searched around the net and the forums but found almost nothing.
IMM76K is the 4.0.4 for the non-yakju variants so you must be running one of those.
If you want the official 4.1.1 you can either flash the takju/yakju factory image for 4.0.4 and wait for the OTA or update to 4.1.1 manually.
OR you can wait until the factory image for 4.1.1 is available and flash that.

Yes, it looks like some devices are shipping with yakju IMM76K. Not sure why, but it seems that they are not getting the update right away. If you just bought your device, best is to just flash yakju JRO03C from Google's site.

I just have bought a galaxy nexus, but The device product is: yakjujp.

PS: Why I must do that? because this device still on 4.0.2 and no system update available. I want to upgrade to 4.0.4 and JB in the future

Will work just fine.
Follow efrant's thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1769301
and after getting to 4.0.4
install the OTA jellybean update or if you cant wait, install CWM and then follow efrant's guide on OTA update using CWM.
And you are set.
I did the same from yakjujp. am now running 4.1.1 stock jellybean, rooted.

There are actually multiple options on this forum that can assist you. Since you labeled yourself as a newby, I'd suggest Mark Skippen's Galaxy Nexus toolkit option (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392310) . It does all of the steps in efrant's post, but in a easy gui format. I'd recommend efrant's steps if you want to know what goes on behind the scenes and feel pretty comfortable with doing some manual coding.
Good luck!

1.Download factory image - extract image
2.Download fastboot
3.Return into fastboot
4. fastboot oem unlock
5. fastboot flash bootloader <bootloader.img>
6. fastboot reboot-bootloader
7. fastboot flash radio <radio.img>
8. fastboot reboot-bootloader
9. fastboot -w update <image.zip>
10. fastboot oem lock
am I right? are there any mistake?
This is my first time. Please help me check
Is using a toolkit more dangerous then using fast boot?

I don't know. But I flashed nexus S with fast boot and it worked. But galaxy nexus is the first time. I'm not sure anything. If you have experience, please help me
I manually flashed from yakjuux 4.0.1 to yakju 4.0.4 and then received the 4.1.1 OTA immediately afterwards. I had absolutely zero experience with anything of this type and it went smoothly. I read the instructions over a bunch of times before proceeding though. The hardest part was installing the fastboot drivers and I managed to get it to work on the second try. Not very complicated at all.

The extension jp most probably means Japan :cyclops:; It's a localized build for GSM maguro model, released by Samsung, not by Google.
So your first option is obvious - wait patiently for Samsung release of OTA of 4.0.4 or 4.1.1 for yakjujp
I've got OTA upgrade to 4.0.4 for my GN maguro/yakjuwz 2 weeks ago, so at some point your build will be upgraded as well
The option for impatient (most of us, otherwise why would we be looking on this forum in the first place) would be to flash Google OTA build yakju on your phone.
I've found at least few threads on this site describing the procedure, you can find it HERE, but better HERE or HERE
I was thinking about flash using currently not existing option :-(
I've found this great Gnex Toolkit that able to do many wonderful things to all GN models.
IMHO, it can be ultimate tool for all GN models, including those with non-Google build, all the flavors yakju(xx)
It is already have an option "Flash Google Stock Image to phone", which is exactly the option we need
But tool currently supports only Google build yakju and I am too n00b to post my comments in DEV thread

Use the guide that Srirama said in post #2. It is exactly the same process as flashing the Nexus S with fastboot. (The guide just looks long, because I broke it down into very simple steps in the hopes the people might learn something and NOT use toolkits.)

Hey sadboy7489, reply buddy.. did u upgrade?? did u take backup of your stock ROM??
yakju is Google's International GSM version..
yakjujp is for Middle East, Africa and Asian countries - region based
It gets updates from Samsung not from Google..
So yakjujp updates are always delayed because Samsung is responsible for yakjujp version..
Any one can install yakju build on yakjujp because its just a build nothing else ..
so it'll become International GSM version and works in 200+ countries and has additional languages support + regular updates from google..
Even my Galaxy Nexus is yakjujp but I installed yakju 4.0.4 then updated to 4.1.1 :good:
Enjoy !

Help with yakjujp ROM

Hi guys.. I bought a GNex with yakjujp ICS 4.0.2 stock ROM. Now i ugraded to 4.1 JB, but i did not take backup of my stock ROM. Here is a link to the original firmware of android 4.0.4 from Google https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images # yakju.
This page contains binary image files that are provided for use in restoring your Nexus device's original factory firmware. These files are for use only on your personal Nexus devices and may not be disassembled, decompiled, reverse engineered, modified or redistributed by you or used in any way except as specifically set forth in the license terms that came with your device.

Two things about forum :
1) when i reply to someone (that's wt i did when i saw their posts), will it create a new thread? I din't intend to create new threads, i just replied to them.
2) If you are going to start a new thread, there is no need to spam a bunch of other threads - wt do u mean by this?

How to get Android 4.2.1 factory image?

Hi,
Seems that I can't install 4.2.2 because my phone has been modified (root, custom kernel).
I can't find factory image of 4.2.1 here https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images It was replaced by 4.2.2 images?
Could you post a link to a mirror with 4.2.1 image or at least boot.img file ("takju", 4.2.1).

I've never done an OTA on my Nexus, and only did it once on my One X as I was in the user trial for JB so it was the only way. I prefer to use full images, but then again I don't have a lot to back up as most data is cloud-based and I don't game on my phone so never really lose anything
