Once i start a download it goes up on the notification status bar for the progress.'...but how to cancel the download once it starts? On GB you only had to tap the notification download bar and then a cancel button was present.......no such obvious option here?

First, activate your download in the box left of the name. Then you can click on the trash symbol top right.

I don't have any option to press on the downloading bar. I just retried again but no matter where on the dl bar i tap, nothing happens.

You can also go in the "Downloads" application and delete your current downloading/downloaded file(s) same way as tapping on the download in the notification bar though.

Crazy......i cant get that screen when i try to tap the white downloading arrow nothing happens.....
I have not tried the other suggestion of going to the download folder and deleting the current file downloading....will try later and report back.
Thanx finally on a recent download i tried this again and it worked but seems a bit hit and miss.......

there is no scrollbar at the bottom, and trying to drag it only keeps selecting stuff
and selecting Menu > View only gives Text size and Language options
nor do I find anything in the messaging setup menu

At the top of the message there is text with yellow background that you can tap to make the email scrollable horizontally.

Seems like the way people would want it to be
One way I can think would be to use Vogue's central button to scroll right. Haven't tried out in an email, but works elsewhere.

Nah, I just gave her a try, and unless I clicked the Tap to scroll it just went to the next message.

Isn't this app built into the Galaxy series? Seems to be missing in the Tmo GN2. Are we to rely on a 3rd party app?

You can install a simple shortcut app that can send you directly to the Note2 built in taskmanager. This app was originally created for the GS3, however it works great on our Note2.
You can find it on the Google Play store: HERE.
If there is any issues with it, it will be: it stays on the screen for about 10 secs as an active task in itself before it disappears.

I really love the M8 with its incredible camera, sound and UI, however, I was wondering if its possible to make the on_screen Visualisations within the HTC music player full screen.
The borders take up about 40% of the screen in the music player and it would be nice to see the visualisations on the entire screen..
Or is there an App on the app store that allows relaxing visuals or vistas to the music

2. Sometimes when the Music is playing, if i press volume down or up button, volume gets reduced/ increased but it never displays the volume indicator(dialog).

Yeah! That happens all the time. Both the problems u mentioned are common in all Android one mobiles i guess. Beside, while updating any app play store downloads the complete data of the app other then required. In my old mobile(SONY) only required data is downloaded for the app to get updated. This is seriously bad bcuz for big apps(on mobile 2G) like chrome etc the total file size is 30 odd and the download starts right from beginning. This is very annoying.
The % download progress bar appears for only small apps like less than 2mb.

This issue is not been seen on custom ROMs.
I have second gen Android one LAVA PIXEL V1 and also karbonn sparkle v issue is same on both
