Hello,
I have twrp 2.0 Installed and i was going to flash hell fire on my kindle and i accidently (with help) wiped my sd card after i did a factory reset. Now it just boots twrp and nothing else. I there a way to force mount the sd card with no OS on it? So i can just put the kindle 6.3 Update back on it? Thank you very much

TWRP has a mount feature that will mount the sd card on your computer. Your computer's OS will probably tell you that it needs to be formatted first.

Hi. I was loading a rom in recovery and first wiped system and data. when I went install the new rom I got the error "E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (no such device)". In other words, I have wiped the old and it cant find the new rom.
Previously I rooted by UnRevoked so I have not previously set up android sdk.
Am I screwed
Thanks
Have you tried a different SD card or the CD card in another PC?
Could be a faulty sd, or if not maybe try cleaning the contacts on the card and phone?
the card seems ok. It can be read via USB from recovery.
Is there any way I can set up a terminal connection and flash a rom from my computer?
I'm having the exact same issue with r6. The SD just won't mount even in recovery. When this happens there is literally nothing else to do, we need a solution!!!
Sorry to hear it Doogle. Im out of ideas too
Pretty lucky to not be the only one tho
Just so you know, mine is definitely USB bricked, but the SD thing is stopping me from being able to fix this.
It's quite unusual.
Any idea if its possible to set up a terminal?
or does usb bricked mean your comp cant see the phone?
I set up a thread earlier to find that out. No replies
Yeah when the phone is USB bricked the PC just can't detect it,
so it's impossible to flash RUUs, so I'm up against the wall unless
I can get this working
When Clockworkmod didn't find my SD, but card reader showed it ok, I used SDFormater to reformat card (remowed all partitions) and when formated in recovery.

Have you tried reformatting your SD mate? The chance of that fixing it isn't high but it's worth a shot...I'm reformatting at the mo

Basically, the SD card is not mounting (if it's the same as me), so regardless of what .zips might be on it, it can't flash them...

You're not using quick format option are you?
Because a proper full format is much more effective,
and takes a while to complete.
i am now waiting for sdformatter to do its magic. I hope it it learnt to format at Hogwarts!
nope. It still cant mount it
Ok guys, I've tried to figure this out using other threads on the forum, but I've still come up with nothing!
I'm running cyanogen mod with clockwork recovery AFAIK. Bought the G2 on eBay already rooted, and everything has been working great until yesterday. All of a sudden the phone gives me the infamous "SD card blank or has unsupported filesystem." Argh! I've tried reformatting the card through the OS, and then it tells me to insert a new SD card. Ok, I reboot... annnnnd the same thing again. Next I tried mounting it through the OS. After it's done it tells me the card can't be mounted because it's probably corrupted. Let me just say I don't think that's the case because I was using it RIGHT before this started happening. When I try to connect through Windows and format it doesn't recognize any storage in the device.
So now I'm here. What the heck do I do, xda?! Is there something in the recovery menu I should use? Any suggestion is greatly appreciated, and if you need any more info please ask!
Bump for justice!

I have had the same stuff happen to me many times. Download SD formatter on your pc it finds the sdcard and formats it. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=sdformatter
Alright, now it's getting really bad. I attempted to format that card in the computer, but it actually did seem to be ****ed up, in that the computer saw the card once and then it was invisible. Ok, so I order a new 8GB microSD card, arrived today. I format the card using the above program, succesfully, throw it in the phone, and bam, SAME ****ING PROBLEM. What the ****? This is ****ing BULL****.
Now I'm considering re-flashing the phone, but that's a last resort option. Is there something that needs to be on the SD card for cyanogen/CWR for it to even work? I didn't think this was the case, but if it is, WHAT do I need to put on it?
Again, this is quite infuriating, so any help or direction is greatly appreciated.

This is what I would do. I would format the card on the computer to fat32 format. On the phone I would boot into recovery and select wipe data/factory reset, then still in recovery I would go to advanced and wipe dalvik cache, and then still in recovery I would go to mounts and storage and format system and format boot. Back on the computer I would re-download the ROM (what you have now may be corrupt) and place the zip on the newly formatted card. Then I would put the sd card in the phone and flash the ROM.
I'm sorry. I'm somewhat new at this but I'm pretty sure this isn't what's supposed to happen.
I was going to flash a new ROM to my Note 2. I backed everything up in my external SD card (Nandroid and Titanium). I did all the wipes in TWRP 2.4.3 -- Factory Reset and System-- but I also decided to "Format Data" (reformat my Internal SD) which I now regret because, when I go to install the ROM that is in my external sd card, I find that I can't mount it. When I go to reboot, it says there's no OS installed.
I still have access to TWRP. When I plug my phone to my computer though, it doesn't detect it.
Did I just brick my phone? What are my options? Can I load a ROM from my computer or something? I really need help.

Resolved the problem. I was able to mount my external SD card eventually and recover everything. Thanks.
I'm a ****ing idiot. I was going to install a new ROM and I was wizzing through everything and accidentally clicked ext SD card on the wipe screen....
EVERYTHING was on there. My last ROM backup, my Titanium backups... even the rom I was flashing. I literally have nothing on my phone.
I know I can use adb to push the new rom through but I'm still losing ALL my data. ALL my pictures and songs and EVERYTHING will be gone forever.
Is there ANY way to recover from a wipe???

I take it you have a usb port just order a micro usb sim reader don't cost much and try recuva from there
or, if you don't care about data that was on INTERNAL sdcard, you could, remove your external sdcard from phone, restore phone, boot phone, insert sdcard, and then mount sdcard as mass storage (i never did it, but it should be some root app that enables it), then recuva

Use PhilZ Recovery (flashable ZIP):
https://onedrive.live.com/redir.asp...E!2560&authkey=!AEWRy1uDVQUYt5o&ithint=file%2
This recovery image allows you to mount your microSD card as a USB Mass Storage device - simply go to 'Mounts & Storage', then 'Mount USB Storage' (or similar).
