Does anyone know of a replacement battery for the mytouch 4g? I've been searching but couldn't find one.

Do you mean an aftermarket/larger capacity battery, or simply a replacement? Here's the OEM battery:

Been using these for a month and am pretty happy. Be warned, it took me 20 business days to receive them but that was Christmas time.
Can't post a link yet so just search for this @ Ebay.

There appear to only be a few:
Mugen
Seidio
Both offer 'thin' versions which fit with the stock case, but only offer a theoretical 20% increase in capacity. Some people seemed happy with their mugen, and I recently received one.
They also offer thicker versions which in theory is 120% increase, but requires a new battery cover and makes your phone thicker. I haven't seen any reviews of this one for the mytouch.

How do you like your mugen battery?

Hard to say, but my gut feeling is it lasts a fair bit longer than my other two batteries (the original and the "1500" that came with my charger, which is worse than the 1400 mah original)
I guess it's confusing the battery meter a bit - it sticks around at '100%' for quite a while before dropping.

Go over to their site and register, when they're available they'll send you a discount code. I've been wanting one.
Don't blame me, blame my keyboard's autocorrection algorithm.
Here is the link
Powerskin for Vibrant
Click "Buy Now!" fill out your information and you will be sent an email in April, as well as a coupon code.
Double the battery and it shouldn't be too bulky on an already thin phone... I'll take one thanks
I can't wait for this
Looks cool!
How much are you guys willing to pay for this? I wont pay more than $45, I'd rather pay that amount for the FFC that works now.
I agree

Battery problem somewhat resolved..... but seems expensive!
Hopefully the discount code they give us is generous

I am such a battery junkie, I would pay $45 for double the battery life. I am thinking the coupon will give like free shipping for $5 dollars off.
This looks good, actually the only extended battery item I would consider.
can someone describe a little more about this?
does it hold an extra battery? does it have a built in battery that is 2x the capacity?
think i wouldn't buy any extended battery life w/case cause it makes it too bulky. that picture don't seems too thick but once u put it on it would make lot difference. and it beats whole purpose of getting thin sexy vibrant. i rather wait for actually battery it self. i heard in korea soon releasing the battery
They already have a code for 25% off and free shipping, using the code "CHARGEON" at checkout.
It's under the "Where to buy" button.

Battery itself??? What kind of battery is that youre expecting? 1650 mah or higher? And it's suppose to be the same size like vibbie batt? Can u send me a link or something to that news because i didn't know. Thank you

Doesnt seem like a bad deal. The my touch case is $59. I paid $30 for my case mate tough case.
It's an excellent deal. I've seen these on IPhone and they are pretty frikken thin, it's essentially all battery over the dimensions of the case so you don't have that retarded 4" thick phone you get with the 2300 mah batts. I have 3 batts and an external charger and it's a pain in the ass to have to reboot several times a day.
Don't blame me, blame my keyboard's autocorrection algorithm.
Notice on the side profile pics that the backside no longer has a hump. You can gauge from there how much thicker your phone might be.

IuNlockeM Are you talking about the Vibrant 4g battery?
I just upgraded my battery in my G2 T989. Now standard cases won't fit. Do any of you guys have encountered this? If So, have you found any solutions? Please post any ideas you may have with pictures if possible.

If you find one let me know. I have an extended battery as well...
Will do! I can't believe that this is hard to find.
Im thinking of modding a case here in a bit. But will see

I actually modded a T-Mobile D30 case. It turned out Altot like those bumper cases apple came out with to cure their reception problem for the iPhone.
Oh really, how did that work out? I was thinking of getting a regular silicon case from ebay and cutting it. But if you can post pics and places to cut that would be great
Well it didn't turned out as great as i expected it would. It only protected the outer ring. When I get a chance I'll post a picture.
Qcell Extended battery
tupistol,
what is your opinion on Qcell 3650mAh extended battery? Did you test it?
Do you see big improvement comparing to stock battery?
Although I'm still testing, I went 8hrs under normal use without charging and had about 40% battery remaining... I switch bad and forth to stock to get a better comparison.
Here the T-Mobile D30 Case( convertible) as you can see the rear is cut out. This is kind of like a bumper case
Can someone post a pic of the battery and cover on the phone?
I hope these pics give u an idea of the size post 3650 mAh extended battery upgrade.
I had this battery and battery door and it sucked ass. Went back to stock
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
What does that mean? Did you stock battery(1850 mAh) out perform the extended life battery( 3650mAh)?
yes it does. I get a full day on the stock battery, and about 75% of the day on the extended. save your cash

Hey guys,
I finally got my hands on the Mugen power 4000 mAh extended battery, which I know a lot of you are eager to check out! Within the package you'll receive the battery and the back cover. The back cover fits great and looks fantastic, the textured coating is comfortable and grippy. It includes a kickstand which is loose and pretty terrible to be honest. As for the battery performance, watch the video below for full info:
Thanks for the video. It was well done, I enjoyed watching it.
How many cycles have you gone through? I'm wondering if the lackluster performance was due to the battery not bring broken it.
I have the Hyperion battery. If I were to spend a premium on an extended, I think I would rather get the Seidio over the Mugen. No crappy kickstand and the Seidio also looks like it fits in the hand better.

Thanks for the kind words! I ran 4 cycles the day I received it plus another 3-4 when I was in New York City. I'm still going to keep using and going to run my test again after 20 cycles or so and see if that helps (and get back to you guys).
A buddy of mine has the Seidio, I like the soft touch coating but it feels cheap (for example, the Seidio logo scratches off SUPER easily). However, it's half the price, so you really can't compete with that.
Hope my video helped out!
awesome vid man just what i was looking for
actually planning on getting this

Sweet! Now that you know the 'truth' and you won't be surprised, you should be relatively happy with the product.
It's over 4000 but honestly, why cant manufacturers do what motorolla made to RAZR? even Galaxy Note not use all space under the cover..
Great review! Thanks for posting. I too think its a bit on the expensive side considering the 3800 is like 30 dollars less. Mugen really seems to be asking a lot for something that is testing less than expected for a premium price. With that said, i do wonder how well the back door would fit on this particular case. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aluminum-Me...976685?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item231a1d336d

Hmm..seems like it would fit. I had a similar setup on my Galaxy S II, where I used the Mugen 3200 mAh Battery with the SGP Neo Hybrid EX Bumper. Worked pretty well.
lovely battery, thx mate
Great review! I bought the cheap 3800mAh battery and it only lasted for about 5 hours and 15 minutes playing video with the screen on. I plan on running the 2100mAh battery to compare. I was wondering how this one was in comparison and now I know. I don't think it is worth $100 for that type of performance.
I loved the kickstand on my Momax 2700 battery for the Vibrant and that appealed to me on this one. Great to see before ordering one that it is so poorly made.
Thanks again for the great review.
good idea, but really too thick to put in my jean's pocket~

Yeah, definitely. It's not worth the price tag. My contact there emailed me and is sending out a new kickstand/cover, he thinks mine was just a faulty cover, we'll see.
Will keep everyone updated on that.
With a tight kick stand, this product would be much better!
i have one. the kick stand is ok. it doesnt flick out like what you see in the video even when i give it a good shake to test it out.
Singsing...how's the battery life so far? I just bought one and would like to know what others have experienced so far

I just wanted to let everyone know that I received the Mugen Power 4000 mah extended battery yesterday. I will report back on the results once the first charging cycle is complete.
I was able to use the battery for a bit yesterday...
It averaged about 1 hour 15 min of display time with pretty heavy usage ...and only a 20 percent battery drain. Stock battery would have drained 30-35 percent in same time.
I will follow up soon.

Can anyone with this battery stream netflix over LTE and report back?
I got about 3.5 hours with the Seidio 3800mah on auto.
I will redo the test with max brightness.
Alright guys...I wanted to update you on the performance of the battery so far...
I am very impressed at the performance...please refer to the pictures:

I personally haven't tried that one but i have the 4400 mah anker and it adds quite a bit of bulk. Probably the same bulk as an otterbox. But trust me it feels a lot better in hand. And have about 5-6+ hours of screen time is so worth it. I know people that also use the battery as a back up.

I actually just bought one of these last week after looking for a 3000mah battery that wouldn't break the bank. I pm'ed someone that had a battery list, price and review thread going to see if they knew anything about it but got no response (Guess newbies are nobodys) or maybe I missed the pm policy.
Anyways I'm pretty happy with it I guess. It will get me through an 8hr work day faily easy but the S3 just seems to burn through battery at an incredible rate no matter the size of the battery. I haven't really put it through any sort of test so other than that I can't really say much. It will add significant thickness to the phone. If I compare the S3 next to my Razr Maxx I'd say it's about a millimeter or two thicker.

I seen ontrion batteries with various capacities...2600mah, 3000mah and more! as per my knowledge batteries quality is measured by internal cells. capacities are variable factor and can be made as per customer requirement.seems ontrion is master of bateries with sku of so many batteries...
