Did you even read what's written on that site?
It's a guide on how to flash the LT18i ICS update onto a LT15i

Yes I read it did you? What does it say at the start Sony has released lt15i Rom . I couldn't check it though because site hosting ftf is down. Wasn't sure if they had got it right thats why asking question.

Of course I read it and it says:
"Installing the ICS firmware
Download the official ICS firmware (LT18_4.1.A.0.562_NCB.ftf, md5sum: c1ae2eef1677a7aa72db7430e516ea4c) file for the Xperia Arc from here and save it to our PC."

yes just checked the news feed from stock news and weather feed widget on arc where I got article from and it has changed from the url I put in first post to another about arc s. But whatever still think article was a bit misleading and not very well worded from start.

In Sony Blog was said "Following on, Xperia arc, Xperia PLAY, Xperia neo, Xperia mini, Xperia mini pro, Xperia pro, Xperia active and Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman will receive their scoop starting from the end of May/early June.*"

So we have to wait about a month to official ICS update for our LT15i devices
How is the ICS in Arc s, is it better than GB? Is there any bug?
Is it easy to root for Locked BL?

ICS for the Xperia phones are coming March/April, but only to the Arc S, Neo V and Ray, then about a month after the other phones.
Would I be able to flash the Arc S software into my Original Arc? and would it still be usable and such?
Check what DooMLoRD did the the Alpha for Arc S...
He ported it and it works fine, even the unported Arc S build was reported to work on Arc.

I just unlocked the bootloader on my arc and was wondering what roms people recommend. Thanks everybody

I use Cyanogenmod 9 and i really like it. If you want to run ics on your Arc i would recommend cm9 or arconium.

Im just lookin for a solid rom for everyday use would prefer ics

I don't recommend ICS roms yet. Just wait for Sony to release the final code, and find yourself a good ICS rom. For now, I'd say Arconium 8 or DiMiui/MIUI-G. They're all based on Gingerbread.
Awesome thanks for the tip. Also once unlocked with omnius is it ready to flash? Or do i still have to unlock with sony site?

Since the omnius thread says that they unlock bootloaders then i suppose that you don't need to do the steps with the sony site. Just install DoomKernel 19 + Arconium 8.1 and you are good to go (all the SE specific features working, from xloud to hdmi).
Ahh you were too late. Omnius was free until yesterday.

According to the post in Xperia Blog Sony cirtified New firmware certified for Xperia ion, Xperia miro, Xperia neo L and Xperia T/TX
This would move the firmware from the current 6.1.E.1.XX version to 6.1.E.2.XX and may signify that it encompasses something more than just a bug update. Both LTE (LT28i) and HSPA+ (LT28h) versions of the Xperia ion have been certified with this firmware.
what will be this ?

Just an updated ICS. There is already 6.1.E.2.29 for the LT28i which many people are running on their ion. This new version will just be bug fixes. Hopefully they fix the Smartdock not being detected under any of the LT28i ics builds. It will not be Jelly Bean.
I'm running this build right now

Think of a T JB, without some camera features (HDR, for example). Look at S leak one. Should be like that.

Nope. That's the only one. And it's a WIP. A little buggy as of now, but should be ironed out. But thanks to CM/FXP, at least we have JB for our phones.

Not exactly. You get more internal memory with the Arc S firmware.
