Hi !
The Volume Down Button of my DHD died suddenly !!
I can still fell the click when I press the Volume Down Key...but it is not responding.....the Vol Up Button is working perfectly.....
I was just wondering that is there any Diagnostic or anything else by which I could test if the Button is working or no ???
The Button died on me when I was trying to boot into recovery and install a rom.......could it be due to rom issue or something else ?? ( i dont have a clue)
any alternate hard reset kind of option ?? ( i have done a factory reset from inside recovery and wiped everything cache/ dalvik and even installed another rom)...but the dang thing just does not work !!!
The clear click sound that I hear i making me doubt if the button is exactly broken or not...
any info will be appreciated.

My down key is pretty much dead as well though it is working so i think it is normal for it to get hard but if it is not working then it is more of a hardware problem, since i ran out of guarantee i can't return mine but if you have then that's the best thing to do right now rather than waiting for a solution here at xda which is highly unlikely going to help you

My phone had a miraclous moist caused damage. I repaired it my self but managed to somehow kill the volume button. (I could try to fix that...)
Now something happened when I used franco.kernel tool and flashed a new kernel. It's stuck in a boot.
I can't get to recovery because my volume button doesn't work... :good:
So what now? I tried OMAP flash but it seems it doesn't wipe the whole phone. Could I add some line there so it would flash a ROM too?
It seems as it would be capable of it but I'm n00b in these matters. :silly:

I just bought this AT&T LG OG pro (used but like new) and really love it.
The only thing is that: the soft keys (back + menu) light up but don't respond. I've tried reset it but no change.
All hard buttons work (power, volume, quick memo). This is really a big deal b/c I can't use the phone w/o the back key...
Anyone has this problem? Any idea to fie this?

I dont own the device but are you running stock recovery? If not... go back to stock recovery. Boot into the stock recovery and do a factory reset there.

Everything is stock, I did Power + Vol down, it takes me to a "hard reset" screen, I used power to confirm, it does hard reset, but no change
When I touch the soft keys, there is no response at all (light/vibrate/effect), they light up only when other thing is pressed, does it mean that the touch panel is dead or something?

I have got the same problem on september 13. until now G pro have the same problem. :crying:
my nokia x always stuck up at the nokia logo when i turned it on ..
can somebody help ? sorry im new in android device ..
Easy solution
Try going into stock recovery and wiping data and cache again
With the phone off, hold the home and power buttons until you get to a little Android. Then press the 2 volume buttons in and the recovery menu will pop up. Use the volume keys to choose factory data reset and also wipe the cache. Use the power button to press ok.
If that doesn't fix it, it looks like you'll have to sbf.
Pressing the search button works with Froyo. Pressing the 2 volume buttons works on GB. Remember, the power button is the ok button on GB.

im using adb in pc it doesnt work too
yesterday i just brought my phone to service centre . they said if they will see a modification of the phone i will pay 250php and that cost not mean the phone is repair -.-
try flash to stock firmware/rom again using guide on nokia x general section

Same problem with my RM1030, stuck at nokia logo, i already wipe data and cache, flash with nokia care suite and flash with nokia x flasher, but my problem still persist, really need some help please..
i changed the runtime and now its stuck on sory nfc has stoped working and has 2 option dont send and send and whatever i do it stays there is there ayway i can fix it please im realy realy stressed out i think i bricked it or something please help me out ill realy apreciate it is it bricked . i didnt bought it with warranty so lease help me out here

Seriously, if the screen comes on, its not bricked.
But you also haven't provided enough info. Is the phone modded, or stock. And if modded, is it running a custom ROM, s-off or s-on?
I had a problem with the phone not booting after switching to ART. I wiped cached and rebooted, and it started up fine.

how can i boot into recovery by pressign and holding volume up and power? i did that already and it restarted optimized apps again for like 10 minutes and got stuck in the same error again would realy apreciate some help

Press and hold Volume up + Power for 10seconds, when the screen goes dark, immediately press volume down + power. That'll take you into bootloader.

That button combo just forces a reboot.
Do as suggested in the last response. Once in bootloader, use vol keys to highlight recovery, and power button to select. Once you see the red triangle (stock recovery screen) hit power + vol to show the recovery menu. There you will see an option to wipe cache.

as well, i have the briliant idea to go at test menu with this code 3845#*989#
after that my touch goes crazy =(
the back touch at the bottom stops to work and the touch in certain points of the creen stops to working too
i have tried go back to test mode, more i dont know how to reset to somekind of factory test mode
please aid me somebody, (i allready tried to reinstall original kdz and the same thing are happening)

till the kdz original firmware as cm12.1 i have tried to solve this issue and nothing, the touch is new i have changed him 3 day ago =(

You don't know what adb is,? Android debug bridge. Google search adb and you should get everything you need.
