Any google developer here ! got some suggestion on ICS - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

after using Galaxy Nexus about a week...... I have some suggestion on ICS 4.0.4 rom

1. Auto-sync, Wifi, Airplane mode, GPS and Bluetooth toggle on notification.
2. Percentage battery status style on combined bar.
3. Show AM/PM style next to clock on combined bar.
4. Contact and SMS background show as black color.
I known some other ROM got this item e.g. CM9. But I want using google rom that why I am buying Galaxy Nexus.

I think suggestions are not taken seriously unless submitted to AOSP gerrit.

I usually agree with you, but that one is just not true. Android is constantly changing and adding features.
Swiping to dismiss notifications first appeared in CyanogenMod back on FroYo ( or was it Eclair?I can't remember), and is now available on stock ICS. And that's just one example...

Also, how do you know they weren't submitted to AOSP gerrit? Posting it here is like pissing into the wind.

Hi,
I've recompiled SystemUI with power widget toggles on the bottom miui style.
This + Apex Launcher swipe down open notifications is very convenient for me one handed

This mod only replaces one file. Just replace /system/app/SystemUI.apk with the one from the AOKP zip to revert. You'll need to mount /system as writable first obviously.

great work.
May I ask, if it's possible to MOD the statusbar and notifications completely upside down.
That is, similar to android 3.0 tablet, statusbar always displaying on the bottom, and swipe up to open notifications with widget toggles also on the bottom.
I think that's even more convenient swiping up than down as the screen becoming bigger...
Thanks.

I installed hellostatusbar from market for this reason, and just have a shortcut on each homescreen heh. Not the most efficient, but with large screen now i dont have to swipe down to access my status bar...

[MOD] CM9 Reloaded Statusbar Mod - Toggles page, centered clock and more (2012-02-28)

Update March 5/12:
I've created a new mod with a settings app and all bugs fixed. There is no tabbed layout yet, but tons of options, check it out here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1531222
This is a mod for CM9 for Galaxy Nexus.
Part of the code is from my previous rom Reloaded for the Motorola Atrix, hence the name
This was compiled on Feb 27 after syncing with CM repo so should work with all kangs (has been tested with my own kang and fitsnugly's)
Features:
- Centered clock
- Modified notifications layout
- Tab for quick toggles (fully configurable from CM9 settings)
- Brightness control (make sure you toggle off auto brightness for this to work)
- Transparent statusbar (might be removed next version if this affects performance)
Known bugs:
- Animation bug on statusbar fling/minimize
Download: See attached

Its not based off AOKP, it is AOKP. Only difference is some init.d scripts. This isnt going to work on anything but CM9.
Dear OP, this mod seems to break the "on screen order" i am unable to make the home button first or control them. is there a fix for this?
Some of us don't read so good!
Hey OP, can you put explicitly in the first post that this will not work with anything but CM9?
I didn't read it carefully enough (yes my fault), and I flashed it and it broke everything of course.
Related query: Is there a way to get that CM pulldown toggle on stock ROM? I really miss it from my Galaxy S.

[ROM][JRO03C stock] TricksterRemixed [2012-07-29]

Bored and annoyed as there was no original stock ROM that is good enough, I made a new JellyBean stock based ROM from these ingredients:
- JRO03C google yakju image
- Deodexed with xUltimate
- chainfire's SuperSU and su
- stericson's busybox
- imoseyon's leanKernel 4.2.0 stable
- Louder speaker output by using patched audio.primary.tuna.so by Peter Alfonso
- Modded SystemUI with battery percentage and Lock button in Notification panel (based on phone_user's works for bugless beast)
- Enhanced power menu by xIC-MACIx
- And last but not least an unreleased version (as of today) of Trickster MOD app
This ROM is likely an one-shot, until there's a new base from GG. I'm pretty sure there is no bug.

Other notes: Every time you install a kernel that includes ramdisk (boot.img format like leanKernel or Franco). Please apply this CWM zip after the kernel if you want to continue using Trickster MOD app.

I have a personal question to the author.
How do you to open Data and Wifi connection? This is my main "difficulty" if i use as a daily driver a pure Asop rom like yours which I am downloading now.
I prefer data and wifi toggles from cm10 anyday. Just wondering...

I dont know what the author does but personally I use Notification Toggles..
I prefer it even over any of the toggles I've seen built into the CM or AKOP roms.. the one killer feature to me is the ability to have a toggle that takes be directly yo the screen that shows the available access points without having to go into settings to connect to one I haven't already. After using it for just a couple of days I can't live without it.
I'm getting some battery drain.
It's only me?

I am as well. Using BetterBatteryStats, it seems like Maps is causing the drain. I froze it with TB to see if the drain stops.
Edit: Looks like it is something else. "*backup*" was the process that appeared to be causing some partial wakelocks. Disabled Google backup and the battery is still draining. Will have to let my phone sit for awhile and get a good dump from BetterBatteryStat.

[SOFTKEYS] Softkeys Assassins Creed Style v2 *Updated 10/22/2012*

Hello Everyone,
In preparation for Assassins Creed 3, I made these soft keys for myself, but then I thought "Why should I be the only one to use these?"
This will work on any rom which has support for custom navigation bar icons. Ex.Codename(Android), AOKP, etc
Here they are.
Screen shots:
Normal

}
45% Transparency (Personal Preference)
Softkeys Set currently includes:
Home
Back
Recent Apps
Menu
Search
More will be available upon request
this is NOT a flashable zip
Instructions:
Download ZIP
Copy contents onto phone storage
Go to rom settings
Open up navigation bar settings
Change icon for each action
Enjoy
Stuff: I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone. The chances of this are almost 0%. Just read the instructions and you will be just fine.
Let me know if you have any suggestions, I probably will supply a flashable zip later.
Hit the "Thanks" button if you like this. And feel free to check out my apps on the Play Store (Link)
Changelog:

Confirmed. Flashing a different kernel boots. Thanks!
Initial Thoughts: I like the font and the transition animations. Makes it feel like a different, refreshing user experience.

The font used seems to mess with gmail. See screenshot.

This looks great. Any other feedback besides kernel issue, font and trans animation?

Fired right up with AK kernel and I must say this runs with the best of them. I came from Xylon which was the best runner for my phone and this runs equal to if not better. Of course results may vary but if your looking for something new and refreshing than u might want to try it. Thank you for this MFing ROM!

Do we still need to flash a kernel for this to boot?
If so, what is the process? ROM, GAPPS, then kernel?
