I'm running CM7 R6 and I recently notice that the video has shrunk and only plays to right side of the screen. Is anyone else having a problem. Do you know a possible solution?
Thank You

I recently have been getting a white screen while playing video, whether it's flash or downloaded videos. I'm assuming it's an issue with the kernel I'm using (netarchy-toastmod-4.3.2-bfs-sbc-havs-more-universal-signed) because when I flash to the leaked gingersense kernel, video works. I'm using the VirusROM GengerSense ReV™ B2.
The only problem with assuming it's the kernel is that video worked yesterday while using the netarchy kernel. I can't figure out what I might have done to break it. Any thoughts/suggestions?
Has anyone else encountered this issue? I've tried after market apps to view video and it all leads to the same result.
If it works on one kernal and not the other, then it definetly sounds like the kernal is the problem.

Thanks. I suppose it's the price to pay for incredible battery life. I just can't understand why the issue would be intermittent.

Gotta love intermittent problems. There are no 'rules' saying that all problems are consistent and logical, unfortunately. they can certainly leave ya scratching your head.

Hey guys, searched anywhere but it seems like no one else is having this issue...
Phone is rooted and flashed Starburst 1.9.8 ROM. When I set video resolution to 1080p the video looks zoomed in. I don't think this is normal. Anyone else experience this on an unrooted Epic 4G Touch?
Help is greatly appreciated
everyone's does that

I am running ParanoidAndroid 1.9.8 in Tablet UI mode. I downloaded the Youtube app from the play store and when I start up the app all looks fine. I understand that there are some issues playing HD videos on a mobile devices, but if I play a non-HD video the video starts playing as normal and after about 15-20 seconds my phone crashes. And by crashes I mean the JB loading screen appears and the phone starts up. It does not do a complete reboot where the white HTC screen appears just the JB screen appears. And this happens whether I am in the app or in the browser. Keep in mind I am fairly new to Android (converted from iPhone) 3 months ago, and just rooted a couple of weeks ago, so I don't know all the android jargon yet but I am learning. I have been searching for anyone else with this same problem to no avail. So after all that rambling, my questions would be: Is this a rom issue or a known app/browser issue that I can't find a resolve on? Has anyone else had this issue on this rom or any other roms? Or can someone point me in the right direction, since I can't seem to find anyone else describing the same issue I am having.
This is an issue with all the jb Roms as far as I know, like most other new systems it takes a little bit for all the kinks to be worked outbut with all our awesome devs I'm sure it won't take long

Got to Settings ->Developer Options and disable the HW overlays. You will have to do this every reboot but it should help YouTube performance

I am unrooted, have just updated my sling box, and now when I watch anything on higher quality whatever I watch is jumpy, or jerky, has anyone else for this problem? Really really annoying
