I recently have been getting a white screen while playing video, whether it's flash or downloaded videos. I'm assuming it's an issue with the kernel I'm using (netarchy-toastmod-4.3.2-bfs-sbc-havs-more-universal-signed) because when I flash to the leaked gingersense kernel, video works. I'm using the VirusROM GengerSense ReV™ B2.
The only problem with assuming it's the kernel is that video worked yesterday while using the netarchy kernel. I can't figure out what I might have done to break it. Any thoughts/suggestions?
Has anyone else encountered this issue? I've tried after market apps to view video and it all leads to the same result.
If it works on one kernal and not the other, then it definetly sounds like the kernal is the problem.

Thanks. I suppose it's the price to pay for incredible battery life. I just can't understand why the issue would be intermittent.

Gotta love intermittent problems. There are no 'rules' saying that all problems are consistent and logical, unfortunately. they can certainly leave ya scratching your head.

Does anyone find this problem? I just bought an Creative's Bluetooth headphone exclusively to watch movie or play video games. After experiencing nearly 2 hours, I found audio always lay 1 second. It really annoy me when I am playing video games. You can think of that you are watching bomb blowing up without explosive sounds. I tried iOS, everything is okay. You can't find any audio delays whatever you play games or watch movies. I searched this problem on the internet and found out people who bought Asus transformer pad experience the same problem. They said ICS and KNow have the same problem. Does it mean this is a Android OS's problem? Could it be fixed by custom rom? I absolutely don't like buying a Bluetooth headphone($50:banghead exclusively to pick up phone call. By the way,I am now using Android HD Rom.

I've been using BT headphones with Android devices for years, and whilst I've seen this before it has usually been on older devices and related to the video app itself losing sync, rather than Bluetooth per se.
I've had no such problems with my Note 2, using a wide variety of different bluetooth headsets, and I watch a lot of video on my device. My Note 2 is still bone stock, so I suggest trying a different ROM first of all to see if it makes any difference.
Regards,
Dave
I get a bit of Bluetooth lag when watching movies with my Creative headset. I use BSPlayer and that has an option to offset the audio of videos, so the problem goes away. Not ideal, but it works very well.

Do you use custom kernel or stock?

I've always had a delay with Bluetooth in games, regardless of which device I'm using. (pc, psp, vita, LG O2x, Note 2)

I have always experienced a little lag when calling with BT headset.
Tried SonyEricsson headsets, and for now I'm on a Jawbone Icon.
On all phones I have tested, there's this nagging delay in sounds.
When it comes to games, music and such, I have no idea
since I very rarely indulge in that kind of activities...

Which Bluetooth headphone you're using now?

currently I'm using a Jabra Halo 2, a Jabra street, and a Jabra Clipper.
I also own a Nokia BH-503(might be knock-off, seems good but price was low and the place I got it from has a lot of knock-off products)
and I used to own a Samsung neckband headset(don't know the exact model) and an original Jabra Halo.
all of them had a delay with games on every device I used them with.
to my knowledge the only reason this doesn't happen with movies is because media players can put the sound out of sync by just the right amount to counter this delay.
Gonna test my Sony mw600 when I get home. I don't recall having this problem.

Did you try iOS device? My Bluetooth headphone works great with my iPad. You can't feel any lag when you are playing game or watching movie. So I think it might be bug of Android. By the way , how is Jabra halo 2? Does it sound better than other Bluetooth headphone that you've experienced. I used to like it due to its fancy looks but I end up not picking it because I found some complaints that Bluetooth connection might be stoped sometimes and recover in 1 second. I eventually picked Creative wp-250.

I was using Perseus, now trying Adam. I still get the lag on both kernels, but it doesn't matter when playing videos, as the player can offset the audio, negating the audio lag

I have the same problem with my jabra. Even typing sound is delayed. I don't remember having this problem with my previous phone (motorola atrix). At the moment I have Phoenix v11 installed with custom kernel...

Yeah ,I tried mxplayer and get no lags but game and YouTube not. I am frustrated by this....if I knew this problem, I wouldn't buy a new Bluetooth headphone.....:banghead:
By the way do you feel any difference between Perseus and Adam according to your experience? It is said Perseus is the best custom kernel for note 2......

I'm having a problem with Pandora keeping the screen on when plugged in to the aux port I have to lock the the screen or it won't time out and it has only happened since their latest update. I was wondering if I'm the only one with this problem or if someone could help me out. I'm on s3rx 2.0 and decimalman kernel if that helps

Revert to the old version?
Mine is doing the same thing. Pretty freaking annoying.
It is extremely annoying, I would assume it's a "feature" to the companies paying for video advertisement.
On that note, when video advertisements come on if you turn the screen off it skips the advertisement.
Making the iPhone jealous one user at a time.
Not only that but my girlfriends Pandora as well as mine keep randomly shutting off and freezing. any one else having these issues?

Ok guys, this is really stupid but I just figured this out. I feel like a total Herb for not noticing this earlier.
Open Pandora and go to the Settings tab. Go to Advanced. Put a check in the "Conserve battery" check box. Hit back. That's it. The screen will turn off on its own now.
I don't know why this option automatically changed itself in the new version of Pandora, but checking that box lets my screen auto shut off now.
Good lord.
Hey guys..I have a problem playing any kind of media on my Note. I am currently completely stock on 4.3 and unrooted. Media plays too fast and I can't get any sound. Video, music, games included. Anyone have any ideas on how this can be fixed?

Hi guys,
My galaxy s3 seems to be working perfectly except for a sound issue. It seems like whenever I listen to music or YouTube the sound just cuts in and out. I dont know of it's an app that I've added or what. It doesn't matter if it's on the internet or being played from my device. The sound stutters and its so hard to listen to anything. Anyone offer any help please?
Thanks

Through phone speakers or headset or both? Are you running a stock rom or custom?
Through the phone speakers. No root.. All custom.

So it works fine through headphones? Have you tried music that is already on the device and receive the same issue?
Since you said custom rom, I would use a tar and odin back to factory stock to see if you still have the issue.
