Some Custom Kernels replace the original Bootanimation because Custom Bootanimation Support. So here is the Original as a Encoded Zip-Version.
THIS IS THE FINAL LAGFREE-VERSION FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY S PLUS.
if you want to make it smoother, just read this . but i have modified the desc.txt and for me it looks like original
perherps it is necessary to rename in sanim.zip or bootanimation.zip
1. look in your folder /system/media for sanim.zip or bootanimation.zip
2. note permissions
3. replace with new zip and set noted permissions
4. be happy.
download with smooth fps settings attached (dont forget to click the thanks-button )
preview (not animated, everybody should know the animation ):

that is too much
i have set it:
480 800 40
p 1 0 part0
p 0 0 part1
you will need to change 40 in minimal steps
like 45 for faster fps
or 35 for lower fps
or
50
55
60
65
or
30
25
20
15
just try out for yourself.

Here's a simple boot animation I made. Just the phrase "Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch" appearing letter by letter, then disappearing, then the animated Droid eye. Preview is only 480 X 480, but the actual bootanimation is full screen
If you like it....hit the "Thanks" button please.
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU TURN YOUR DEVICE INTO A PAPERWEIGHT!!!
Root Explorer Install Method
- Download bootanimation.zip and put on root of your SD card
- Open Root Explorer & navigate to "system/media"
- Select "Mount R/W", then either delete, or move existing bootanimation.zip
- Navigate back to "sdcard", then move bootanimation.zip to system/media
- If this doesn't work, rename it "sanim"
Bootanimation.zip download HERE
Recovery Install Method
- Download zip and place on the root of your SD card
- Boot into recovery then wipe cache/dalvik
- Flash zip, then reboot

If you have a file named "sanim.zip" in system/media, them you can try moving bootanimation.zip there. If you don't see the bootanimation on reboot, then you're not running a bootanimation compatible kernel. There's a few of them in the development section. I will be posting flashable zips for stock and custom kernels later this week. I'm going to be swamped for a few days.
Posted different link.

Not Right ?
tyvm id.goPLAY, Not too sure if you can help me out, apparently I don't have enough room in system/media ? But when I rebooted something very different shows up as a bootanimation ? It looks like digitized "ANDROID" logo flashing, best way I can describe it. I am using RC4.2 & had the ICS stock bootanimation before.
Looks great, but...it could use a bit more punch without overdoing it.

Hey can u align the S a bit... otherwise its perfect... thanks for the wonderful splashscreen...
Very beautiful animation. With the one you did for semaphore, it's great. But both are too long, about 30 seconds each. Is it possible to have one shorter, in order to boot quickly?
Thanks

Hi,
I have created a SLIM boot animation for our beloved SlimICS. Just use it if you like.
It's really slim @ 32 KB only..
Install:
Don't try to flash..just copy them to your /data/local folder using root explorer and rename to bootanimation.zip .
You will see new animation from next reboot..

Files will be downloaded to /mnt/sdcard/download folder. You need to rename them to bootanimation.zip (if required) and copy it to /data/local ...then it shows up on boot.

If you still have the boot animation stored in your phone, you don't have to worry. You just have to remove the bootanimation from the temporal location. Normally when an app installs a boot animation it stores the files into a semi-permanent location:
/system/media/bootanimation.zip
But the stock bootanimation is stored in the permament location:
/data/local/bootanimation.zip
Check with rootexplorer or other root file manager app if you still have the stock bootanimation in the permanent location; if the files are still there, the you only have to remove the bootanimation.zip file from the semi-permanent location (/system/media/ easy fix 1). If you deleted these files, then you will have to look for stock bootanimations, and insert the files in the permanet location (/data/local/ easy fix 2). Or do a fresh stock install (time demanding fix). Either way, good luck, I hope you get your boot animation back in your device! :good:

This is not a flashable zip, just use ROM Toolbox or any other root app that inserts bootanimations, or use root explorer to manually place the files in /system/media/ and rename the file to bootanimation.zip with permissions rwxr-xr-x
