Try the Sanyo Eneloop series. Their capacity is quite good and quite long lasting as well. Around $65 Singapore Dollars. Around US50.

i managed to find this out, just opened a thread see if anyone else has one to see if they are worth getting
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/veho...rgable-battery-pack-2200mah-ipod-iphone-and-m

Im using Zagg Sparq 2.0.. Only 6000mah with 2 usb ports that can be used atthe same time. What got me sold on it is the form factor. Its very portable, similar to a macbook charger. The charging prongs is also the same as the macbook charger, its built in (foldable) and you plug it straight to a wall outlet. No need to carry extra/messy cables for charging.
However, I cant recommend it at $99. But got it on sale for $45 inc tax and shipping. Cant go wrong at that price

The Motorola microUSB external battery charger is quite thin and slim, and is capable of charging the One X to at least 80% from dead.

i use this one (check the site for pictures)
http://www.vlandroid.be/2012/05/batterij-power-voor-on-the-road/
and got it from here http://www.dealextreme.com/p/5600ma...led-light-charging-adapters-white-blue-125318

Portable Rechargeable Charger

I am not a big fan of extra batteries. The idea of doing a battery pull and replace another is not pleasing.
I got a rechargeable charger at Best Buy, an Energizer charger for $19.99. Provides 6 hours of talk time. They also have a $39.99 charger for 12 hours of talk time.
I find this to be a great alternative for extra batteries.

Those are certainly good options which don't require you to reboot or buy a charger to charge your batteries. Luckily the Evo boots much quicker than the Pre.

I picked up a 5,000 mAh dual USB charger at Costco for $15. I don't know why it was so cheap (it will completely charge my phone ~3 times). It was a few months ago so YMMV.
any idea who makes this? I have a 2000 mAh one, but would like a bigger one.

Found one by Brando http://usb.brando.com/usb-power-station-5-000mah-_p01468c035d15.html

that 8800mAh one is kick ass.
lol but i'll settle with my Energizer one. Used my Best Buy gift card when I pre-ordered the Evo.
But these are definitely better than extra batteries IMHO.
Is there any place that has these things(either the 5000 or 8800 maH) in a store like best buy or something because I'm not a fan of buying off the internet

I'm sure you can find one somewhere. Just not the Trent Imax brand most likely. You can get energizer ones at BB.
i know i went to best buy and looked at the energizer 2000 maH one for 39.99 but for anyone that has it how much does it recharge your battery? because when i had my G1 the porrtable charger only filled it up about 30%(im talking about the portable charger sold at t-mobile)
I bought the IMP880 portable charger, 8900 mAh. I like it, although I haven't really used it much yet. But it should in theory be able to charge my phone about 5 times. It's not very big, or to heavy (to me) but it does have some heft. I wear cargo pants, so I just keep it in a pocket with me where ever I go.

It would charge it a little over 1 time. How come you don't buy things online? Generally you pay about 40% extra at stores.

Aw crap, I wrote up a reply to this earlier today on my phone, and then before I submitted it I did something, and my internet task got killed forgot about it. Yes it does come with a microUSB adapter (as well as a miniUSB and a USB splitter, and some proprietary thingy). There are 2 outputs (USB and D/C out) and one input (D/C in for charging). There's one hard button, for power or to check the power level (have to hold down on the power buttron for 4 seconds to turn it on/off), and 4 tiered power LEDs for power level.
There's a USB cable that comes with the charger is a special one that the other end is a female plug and the micro, mini, and proprietary adapter things are male, and so are interchangeable with the cord that comes with the charger, although the data cable that comes with the phone will work, and mine is actually longer than the cable that came with the phone (if that matters)

Sadly added this to my Amazon cart last week when it was $33. It went up to $43 in a couple days and I unfortunately pulled the trigger at the higher price. Looking forward to getting this in the mail today. I'll monitor the price over the next couple of weeks so I could hopefully request a credit from Amazon.
This is what i use http://store.goal0.com/index.php?p=product&id=12 , may be a little overkill but it gets the job done, I can charge my phone almost 50 times from empty to full... its also great for laptops, and small microwaves(j/k) kinda pricey but well worth it if you find yourself in the middle at the bottom of the grand canyon a lot, or the middle of the Atlantic ocean....

I have one of the energizer ones, It never does a "Full" charge to the phone, it tops it off to about 60-70% and then when the phone dies some more, it will have a little more juice to give the phone. Not exactly as advertised, but I keep it in the car for an emergency battery so it works great for that, and for note I dont have the 19.99 energizer one I have the bigger more expensive one. Also, they are put together worse then most remotes, I split mine within a week from just dropping it into the door pocket of the car.

I don't know if it has been discontinued or what - it's not easy to find online. $46.99 is also much more than what I spent.

Incompatible charger warning

Just wanting to know if anyone else has run into this issue... I bought a USB car charger on Monoprice before getting the Thunderbolt. When I plus it into my phone however, it won't charge and I receive a pop-up warning about incompatible chargers damaging battery. So, what non-OEM charters tend to work best with HTC phones?

It's hit and miss, but if you get that, don't use the cable/charger. I got that with my INC once when I was using a blackberry micro usb cable to charge. It did horrible and barely charged anything in 30 minutes.

I have a microUSB charger from ATT that I've been for a year or two. Works great with my thunderbolt, though slow. No errors or warnings from it.
It definitely doesn't produce enough power to charger while in hotspot mode.
Your gonna want a charger that charges at a rate of 1000ma or 1A, older chargers for non smart phones and even Blackberry, dont put out that much. My blackberry chargers only put out 700ma. It would charge it, but a lot slower.

For £25, you can get a 7000mAh dual output one from Amazon. Maybe this will last longer or gives closer to spec rating but 3 times more expensive.. still

Just wanted to put the update here as I just posted it in the "Battery" thread as well.
SOOOOO (after seeing it on sale) I was going to order one of the New Trent IMP500 ifuel 5000mAh units BUT after not being able to find the output spec I emailed them and their units only do 600mA out so it will not charge at the same rate as the wall plug which does 1000mA (1amp per hour) just like the wall charger.
I did already (delivered yesterday) buy one of the Anker 5600mA Power Bank units which does, indeed, have the 1000mA output rating so I think I'm going to stick with this one. I had originally planned to try both the New Trent and Anker but since the New Trent (and from what they told me, none of theirs do) doesn't supply the 1000mA output, I'm not going to even bother.
I just got my newtrent 7000mah unit. Imp70d is the model name.
It has 2 outputs, 1ma and 2ma so suitable for iPad charging too.
Unit looks sleek and compact. Will be able to use it next week. Will report back if its any good.

I really want this phone! I am a big tweeter for football (soccer) so i am always connected when i am on an away day.
The fact this has no removable battery really puts me off getting this. I do have an external charger but its rather large and more ideal for camping for 2-3 days with no power supply.
Can you recommend any small chargers that would charge your phone for an extra 2-3 hours?
Thanks

Isn't that charger just what you are asking about?
That is small, super portable and will provide at least a full charge. I have the Anker 5600mA charger and its larger BUT easily fits in the pocket and will do 2 full charges at the same 1amp rate as the wall charger as well.

Does anyone know where I can get properly working 6ft micro usb cables that actually charge the phone?
I bought one off ebay and it was completly junk, my phone would drain faster than it would charge.
Something under $10 would be ideal.

Amazon, purchase the mediabridge brand. About 6 bucks if I remember right.

Might also consider MonoPrice.com for your cables. They are cheap and supposed to be as reliable as any big brand.
Personally, I get the Amazon Basic cables, but so far I've only needed a maximum 3' cable.

AmazonBasics USB Cable 2.0 A-Male to B-Micro 6 Feet / 1.8 m
Been using it for a month now. Charges the phone perfectly
I have bought many cables from digitalkynectonline on Ebay. The cables have held up very good. I have bought 6ft and 10ft cables and they are reasonably priced. The ends are molded unlike some of the cheap cables you get on ebay. The cord is heavier than than alot to and seems to take alot of abuse.
Try out PortaPow
I got this for my road trip and found it extremely effective in providing AC power when a normal cable (the one that came with my HTC) did USB charging.
This allowed me to charge while streaming music and navigation and kept the phone fully charged my whole road trip. It works in any computer or USB port to allow AC charging for your phone

I bought a few of those and they started having bad connections after a few weeks. The premium ones have a much better connector and seem more durable

Another vote for Mediabridge. Very inexpensive, very well constructed, and they stand by their products. Had one go bad and they replaced it very quickly. Great people to deal with.

Which wireless charger should I buy?

I want to buy a wireless charger for the Nexus 7(2nd gen obviously). I was think about the Nexus 4 wireless charger, but it seems that the Nexus 7 would be too tall for a perfect fit on the charger. Also Google has "not yet" launched any wireless chargers specific for the Nexus 7. What are the prospects of a wireless charger from Google designed specifically for the Nexus 7 this year? Should I go for the Nexus 4 charger? or should I buy a differ QI charger like Energizer ?

He says it works fine, but then he is using it in landscape.

If you're looking for a budget one:
CHOE Qi Wireless Charger Mat
Isn't too bad. I use it. Not bad for the price. I think it came out to ~27 USD after shipping.
Not great, but at the same time worth what you get for it.
Edit: Forgot to mention that it did take about 10 days for it to arrive to me, dunno if that matters for you. It ships from China.
the dt-910 is perfect charging stand. orb works well too, but I prefer the Nokia
metrans MWT03 works flawless and very affordable

I went ahead and bought two of the Nokia DT-900's that was brought up in another thread.

They are marked down to $24.50 and if you buy 2 items you'll get an additional 10% off. If you buy a third, I believe it knocks it down to 25% off. Anyway, I bought two, one for the wife and one for myself with tax for $47. Not bad. I think I'll take Artood2s's lead and make a stand!
Edit to change shipping to tax!

EDIT: As the post above me stated as well. This is probably the best deal out there.
I suppose one benefit of the CHOE is that if you have multiple devices (i.e., phone, tablet etc.) that charge via USB Micro B, that you really only need 1 plug and wall adapter to bring with you if you want to charge with Qi. If all your devices do not have Qi. Not only that, this allows me to hook up my charging mat to external batteries as well as my solar panels.
That was the main reason why I got the CHOE over other options, as it is powered via USB, instead of a wall adapter.
I just went across the border this weekend and picked up the Nokia DT-900 for $24. Can't go wrong so I bought two. It works perfect with both Nexus 7 and Nexus 4 without the need to adjust the device just to get it to detect the charger. Well worth the money

What do you use for solar charging? Did you make it yourself or buy one of those solar chargers?

Bootstrap Solar (I believe this has been discontinued by the creator. You can Google the name and check it out for more info).
WakaWaka Power (Dunno if this is commercially available either but you can definitely find out more info from the link provided).

Darn I was kind of hoping you had made one yourself as I was going to try to make one and pair it with a wireless charger and a DIY stand. Guess I'll have to use le goog to find out how.
Hi will these wireless chargers work with a moko case or a case in general?
