Yeah, I don't know where the radio is but I can certainly grab it if someone gives me instructions.

I thought that the radio was what a bunch of people were working on to fix and extract in irc?

Tar= file of full stock rom most likely includes radio,stock rom,stock kernal
Very helpful to have when restoring to stock in case something messes up

yes but sextape needs to post it, it would be very useful to recover from bad flashes, return to stock as well as maybe possibly fixing mms and help build roms

HELLLPPP!!
Hello Everyone,....I am sort of in a bind. I just got my SGN 4G LTE. I tried to root it. But I messed up. I want to go back to stock. But,...I am having a hard time getting it back. I happen to flash the wrong firmware. I am now on the Verizon Firmware Android version (Build ICL53)!! WTF!! LOL!! I only blame myself.
I am new to rooting and my last phone was an Epic 4G,...that was so easy to do and with all the files for that specific device. I wish there was and Odin package for this device. I love Odin cause it is easier. I have been doing some reserch on adb,...but I need help now. I would appreciate some help,...if anyone can. Don't want to go to Sprint,...they will void the warrantee. Tried to bribe them for the Odin package. Thanks for you ears and eyes.

Enhancements/Fixes:
- Device not connecting to data services after activation
- Device not displaying correct network time after activation
- Google Wallet Update
Important Notes:
- Software version is FD02
- This update will be pushed to all devices within a 1-2 day period.
- This update will be available under the following conditions:
- Devices experiencing a problem accessing data services, will need to be connected to a
WiFi network to receive the udpate. Once connected to a WiFi network, the software
will automatically download in the background and then prompt you to install it.
- Devices not experiencing the problem accessing data services will also receive the update.

It's going to be D according to Sprint's press release. I have a feeling this is a radio-only release.

Is there anybody out there that has received the presumed "update"......
I wonder if they already released and it is not a bunch of PR just to calm down the masses. Yes, we have the latest Google phone running 2G -why bother to put a wimax radio, right?- if you're lucky and by the time we get LTE (Washington DC metro area) there will be a dozen of newer phones.....
I want my epic touch 4G back! But I'm out of the 14 days return period!

Thanks, that what I was hoping to avoid. I unlocked my mytouch 4g with adb but can't find it for the s3.
Also do I don't have to make a new thread, I'm using nova launcher but can't find the clock/weather widget to add to my home screen. Anyone know where it's hiding?

Best way would be to go through your carrier. Tell them that you are going on a trip overseas and you need it unlocked. If that does not work you could try the many websites on line. I have used them in the past and have had no issues however; it will cost you around 25$ or more.

Figures out why I couldn't find the weather/clock widget while using nova. It disappears from the list of widgets for some reason but when I go back to stock launcher out shows up. Wtf? How do I get it to show with nova?

even if you did, most of the pre-installed widgets will not work with Nova properly since they are made for TouchWiz. You can get deformity, crashing, not working on landscape, not working on portrait etc. it's best you don't use most of the none (?)x1 widget on Nova or any other theme apps

If u bought it from T-Mobile they give u the unlock code took me two days!!!!!

Yeah got T-Mobile, waiting to hear from there engineers to figure out why 2 s3 phone on my account can't roam. Was told unlocking it would give a 5th option to fix the roaming issue.

Hi can you please share the unlock code if possible? I dont have a t-mobile account but will have the phone and live in canada thus it will be nearly impossible to get the code from T-Mobile

The unlock code is different for each device. Unlock codes are generated based off of imei so it's impossible to share the unlock code.

[Q] How to force 2G/EDGE

So as the title says, how? Running FreeGS3 which is based off of stock. I know AOSP has this option but stock doesn't.
Does anyone know the hidden dialer code to get to the network settings and change to EDGE? Much appreciated.

Because sometimes I'm in areas with barely any 3G/4G coverage, and having the radio switch between EDGE and 3G constantly drains battery, so having high constant EDGE signal is helpful.

Also using edge/2G signal does prolong your battery.

Its in the stock ROM also. You can choose gsm/wcdm/gsm+wcdma. I'm on cm10 or I'd take a screen shot

I don't know man, I can't find it. And I've looked many times. Dialer code is only way I've found to do it without a 3rd party app.
Not too big a deal though, as long as there's some way to do it.

Maritime network?

I'm on ATT in the US. Got my phone yesterday it picked up lte without issues. I flashed CM10.1 and it now displays maritime as the network, not ATT. I have never seen this does anyone have any ideas?

Does it say your roaming under about phone and status?
Martime on Certain AT&T Sim Cards is ACTUALLY T-Mobile I was coruise about it while back but its NOT phone specific it was like that on my Note 2 as well, mine would show AT&T everytime I tried to connect to Maritime (Which is T-mobile) I cant as I cant roam on it here sadly But yea its pretty much tmobile

Ive seen it a lot when going under network search. Go to the market and search for Cell ID Info or network info and download one screen shot (Take your number out) and post it.
When you got your ZL did you get a New Sim or using your old sim ?

If I load CM10.1 on mine I get the same thing, maritime as the network. I'm on AT&T also. If I go back to stock it says AT&T.

Okay then, Its most likely the ROM causing Issues with that haha.
But in my case happend on all the phones since I got the Mico Sim but only shows that on the Tmobile network.

Yes, 5gb

I'm on a corporate 20gb shared data plan, and I'm not in an LTE area. I can use a Note 2, Nexus 4 or Optimus G and none of them have ever said Maritime for the network.
