I'm using the latest juggernaut and love it (smooth and stable). One missing feature is not being able to use quicktoggle settings. I've replaced the system ui apk and framework from another ROM and got it working but it made the notification bar laggy. Anyone have any suggestions?
Sadly I have never bothered trying to move the toggles on Juggernaut. However the current ROM and Kernel that I am using at the moment give me spectacular battery life and is very very smooth, even whilst underclocked. It also has the ability to rearrange the toggles out of the box. Refer to my siggy for my setup.

Just flashed cm10 and loving it but missing a couple of apps that were on the stock Rom
Anyone have the apk for these apps or know where I can get them?
- rotating live wallpaper (where you can select your own photos)
- smart alarm with gradual wake-up
- battery percentage apk
I really miss those apps but otherwise love cm 10
Thanks!

I believe that most, if not all, Samsung Touchwiz apps have a different framework than that of AOSP so they're not compatible on AOKP/CM10 (other way around still works, you can use AOSP apps on any Sammy ROM). There are most likely similar apps to the ones you're currently searching on the Play Store.
They are Touchwiz specific apps made by Samsung.. not just missing from cm 10.. they wont work without TW.. there are some ROMs on here that blend aokp look/feel with TW, try one of those. On a side note, this is really a Q&A thread, Apps/themes section is for posting actual apps and themes.. not just asking about them. I know our forum is blended and not like that but it is supposwd to be.

I'm looking for flashable zips to do the following:
Remove AT&T logo from the left of my status bar
Remove the "WiFi Connected" message in the notification menu
Add an option to reboot into recovery when I hold the power button
Make the battery bar into a circle with the battery percentage in the middle
I'm running rooted stock ICS (IMM76D.1747UCALG1). Can anyone help me out here?

This may be starting the obvious, but have you considered flashing a Rom or theme? Most do all this and more.

Eventually I will flash a custom ROM but first I want to see what can be accomplished on a stock ROM.
Looks like I may need a deodexed ROM before I can do any themes or status bar icon modifications.

All of the things you listed can be accomplished in CM10 or AOKP, even some touchwiz based roms. Highly suggest flashing one
Do you have any suggestions for a ROM? I'm looking for something similar to stock (lockscreen, motion options - like swipe to screenshot, etc).
Are there any stable ROMs based off the stock JellyBean that was leaked??

I haven't tried many touchwiz based roms, perhaps the Sprint port or DrewGaren's Touchwiz

I use CM10 because I don't like touchwiz. DrewGaren's ROM is pretty good. There have been some battery issues, but you can play with kernels to remedy that.

Honestly intergalactic is the best stock room and they have a great jb theme ready to flash and EVERYTHING works. The problem with all the cm10 and aokp stuff is there is always problems with something. Something always doesn't work, or it can't read your SD. Or WiFi don't work right... Or slow speeds... Or gmail don't sync... Or motion doesn't work... This doesn't effect allot of people but I like to be able to use all the functions that Samsung offers, so stock rooted with theme till we get a legit jb drop. this is only my thoughts.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
For TW ICS: Intergalactic,
TW JB: drewgaren's I747 JellyBean Milestone 7 Graystone
AOSP: CM10 11/19 nightly or Tasks 11/18 AOKP
I know a lot of people report issues with CM10 but I've been running CM10 nightlies for about the past week and have not had any issues whatsoever. Everything works as it should and the phone is significantly quicker and more responsive than TW. Any of the sleep of death issues can be solved by tweaking your kernel. CM10 is also extremely customizable, just search on here or on the play store for themes/ universal cm10 mods

try flashing this for the extended power menu
So has development of TW ROMs stopped? Is there not any mods or tweaks left to make a unique TW ROM? I'm kind of getting bored of having the same styled ROMs because honestly all CM based ROMs are pretty much the same because of the fact that they are all CM based obviously. It was nice having TW and CM7. Then getting CM9 and CM10 and now CM10.1 but it seems that all the ROMs have the same basic settings and themes.
Avatar ROM was a little different and I liked it but not too much different since its also CM10.1 based. What I'm really looking for is a TW ROM with all the mods that they're used to be like the lockscreens and clock position in status bar and all the little things that made TW ROMs better. Do any of those even exist anymore for any phone?

You not so satisfied with The People's and Legacy? I don't use them but they still seem popular after all this time.
And why not take time to theme and mod CM ROMs yourself? Themes, lockscreen mods, launchers and widgets are scattered around for you to revamp the experience. Personally I don't like non-AOSP style, but to imitate a GS3 I downloaded a "GS3-Addon", did a bit modification to it and flashed upon a CM10 nightly, which in the end turned out to be REALLY, REALLY similar experience to the real TouchWiz 5!
Just saying, you can try similar tricks yourself, though it takes some time

Could you post a screenshot of your TW 5? I'd like to see how close you've gotten. And your right about all that but I'm honestly just missing the good old TW ROMs that had amazing battery life and many tweaks and themes and stuff. I used to theme TW ROMs and worked on a few mods and I was doing pretty good but that was last summer. Since I started college I haven't really had much free time to work on that kind of stuff.

Not SO close actually TW-specific apps are mostly missing. But apps like S Note, Super Video (floating video player on S3), TW5 launcher and widgets are all there. More I can't remember.
I'll post screenshots 2 days later as we're having tests these days and my E4G is currently on CM10.1 so I have to restore the nandroid backup.

Its cool don't worry about the screenshots.
Do you know a way to get the lockscreen on cm10.1 to be like it was on 10 and 9? I mean to have the rings with the shortcuts before the actual unlock pattern? Is there a way to change that? I wanna start working on my ROM to make it the way I actually want.

@lilajrestnom Hey I have an idea. Settings - Lockscreen - check "Maximize widgets". In this way you'll have to long press the lock icon on the bottom of the screen to bring up the lock security, which I think is just what you want. This is tested to work with "pattern" lock security.

Ya I've done that and that's the closest I can get to what I actually want. I really just wanted the real rings before the pattern lock but it seems like that's the best I can do for now thanks tho.

For those of you who've tried the Google edition Roms for the M919, you know that these are some of the best ways to enjoy a stable 4.3 Nexus-like experience on our phone. I personally enjoy the VirginRom, thanks to it's stability and also the patience and kindness of its developer, Mr. Virginia (check out his thread in Dev section).
My question is, what apps or mods do people use to enhance the Nexus experience on these Roms. For example, what app is good for adding notification toggles? Is there a mod for changing quick settings? Etc. Thanks.

For quick toggles, get widgetsoid, change it to black and put notification icon to none and you have a touchwiz/jb like status bar

Cool, I'll check widgetsoid out. Haven't used it since Froyo. I was using Settings Extended, simple and nice looking. But maybe Widgetsoid allows for larger toggles.
Too bad stock Android doesn't allow for Quick Settings customization, like CM 10.1 and CM 10.2. It just makes sense.

Like in nexus 10 or paranoid android rom. Status bar with nav bar in one place. For stock 4,4 or cm 19,2 stable. Thx!
As of now there is no way to get tablet ui on kitkat. Google apparently removed the code. In previous versions the tablet ui was still there just not being used.

What about cyanmod 10.2 based on 4.3?
Even the new 4.2 for nexus 10 doesnt have tablet ui anymore
Apex launcher, and no doubt Nova, allow you to combine the Nav/notification bar for a slightly tabified ui. They also allow other config options like being able to disable the dock and/or the notification bar for a full screen display.
You could look into Xposed modules for changing DPI, but I have no idea how those work with kitkat.

Sorry, I forgot that setting in Apex only disables the dock and puts a persistent search bar at the top. Not very tablified.
Since I accidentially updated to a newer CM10.2 I miss my TabletUI and even more since I saw the new ipad mini retina this weekend. I would do it on my own, but I don't know how.
Please somebody who did it in the past post an TabletUI update for the stable CM10.2 or give me some hints how to make this patch on my own.

Just would have include all the the code google removed.
But the best would be to bid farewell to this relict of the past.
(Tablet UI is now dead for more than 2 years so let it rest in peace.)

Ok, I understand. But I don't want to give up! Why should I buy a tablet with super high resolution and then waste the space with useless notification bars? I made a tabletUI Update for the stable CM10.2 for DEB: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48538860&postcount=104
We will see what the next Android Update brings...
You know that Android 4.4. introduced the immersive mode.
Developer just need to use it in their apps.
