[Q] Beats Audio? - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

What happened to the Beats Audio .zip that you could flash?? It's been removed from everywhere!?

I would love that for this device right now. but maybe HTC finally got to the zip and issued c&d orders. I may be wrong though
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2 Beta-5

Had it on my device or a bit, made absolutely no difference in audio quality through quality headphones. Imo, Beats on a phone is a cheap gimmick and nothing more. Nobody buys phones for superior audio, nobody builds a phone with high end audio in mind, and if you know even a little bit about quality audio components, the Beats name is not in your vocabulary.

If I can get to a computer sometime soon I'll get the flashable zip for our device, if it's not against the rules.

Um I had no problem finding it with a simple Google search www.google.com/m?q=beats+audio+zip+android&client=ms-opera-mini-android&channel=new still posted right on xda by rockodev

Just use DSP manager and enable Bass Boost and enable Equalizer and use Bass Booster preset. Voila, Beats Audio.

Does dsp manager work?

[REQ] Beats Audio Hack

^^ Anyway to port over BEats to SG2?
No.
Why would you want Beats when the audio on this thing is already decent enough without it...
Sent from my Galaxy SII
Beats is basically just an equalizer. The closest thing you'll get to it (and its pretty damn close) is downloading Volume+ from the market. It's a louder volume hack and it has a Beats equalizer option. I've been using the app since before it was released on the market and it is amazing.
I'm pretty sure you can Google it and get the app for free from the developers website (Meltus) but if you like it, maybe buy the market version. He's an awesome dev!
And no, I'm in no way affiliated with the guy I'm just giving my opinion. Here's the link if you'd like to give it a whirl. http://androidaudiohacks.com/?p=158
I agree beats audio is just another equalizer. Have it on my Sensation and its not that impressive.

Have it on my Sensation as well. Its decent but I use Playerpro with DSP and Equalizer app on my Galaxy S2 and that surpasses Beats Audio.
I'm running Tuesday which has the bravia xloud working with Power Amp. The sound quality is great. I use it everyday in my car.
Beats = DSP Manager = Power AMP

[Q] dsp manager vs. sony xloud

Which one is better and why?
Or will both benefit in unique ways?
Power amp. Give it a shot. Best player sound i have found.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
when I had my vibrant I was using poweramp.
Now, with the S2, I removed the stock music player.
And use ubermusic player combined with the equalizer app.
Personally I have no interest in XLoud or Beats.
DSP Manager is perfect, light weight, and easily surpasses the two in functionality. It just needs to be configured right.
Numerous threads state that these two are a placebo / more of a gimmick. From personal use I have to agree. A waste of resources.
BRAVIA engine however is quite a different story
I like player pro, it's pure and no changes to the sound.

Thanks. But I was more concerned with speaker volume and speaker quality and not equalizer stuff or headphone quality. I heard xloud tries to prevent the speakers from sounding tinny but rather more fuller and louder. DSP achieve the same and more is what you are saying?
Does BRAVIA engine makes the video quality look better or the video to perform better (less choppiness or shutter)?
Power amp has it's own dsp

If anyone had any info on why dsp manager is not working at all please give me a response, to me it's a funny app.

Sound manger setup help please

So I'm writing this cause I've tried everything to make my music sound perfect. I only listen to metal and some grunge rock. Can some post a pic or tell me what's the perfect or have a deep clean bass when the metal breakdown happens. I use dsp manager and I use power amp full version and I want a the best setup. Please and thank you.

This I believe is a matter of opinion. What sounds good to me MAY NOT sound good to you. My suggestion is to play around with DSPManager until you get the right setting for YOU because in the end, is YOU that needs to like it

Use an app called equalizer the proversion allows you to save custom presets you can turn it on and off and it works really well and has 2 Widgets with the power button on them, I've been using it for a while and can get better sound from it with a cheap pair of radioactive earbuds than I get out of my beats headphones with the beats audio processor in my laptop

IMO, don't use DSP Manager at all if you want the best sound. It's a software enhancer, which means it's digitally enhancing the sound, making you think it's better, but in actuality it's just distorting it.

+1 on this
This is extremely noticeable on high end audio equipment (and no I don't mean beats headphones)
I just went out and bought a small amp for my headphones and all is well again
~ I'm a fungi
I have skull candy headphones but I've use the equalizers apps from the market but didn't have the bass I like I had before with cm7. Question is is it possible to put Sony brava engine into gingerbread by taking out the sense?

Best Audio Mod for LGOG

There are quite a couple of audio mods for the LGOG, I would like to know which one do you guys prefer best?
I currently have the Beat audio mod but I only chose this I had great experience with this mod before.
Are the other mods any better?
Please share your comments.

I found that incorporating the beats Audio scripted in my old s2 always outrageously distorted the bass, even while using beats Audio headphones. Now I just use power amp and it does the trick

I tried so many mods like acid and beat but the best so far is power amp like kmull4 said. You get powerful bass and rich highs. It actually adds more power to those Hz.
I've only used Acid +nooxide and love it. As long as you don't push the effects too hard. The" wider" sound option is actually achieved by manipulating phase coherency which if overdone will result in some may nasty sounding audio. I'm curious about power amp. Are you guys dust using the built in eq settings on the app?
Ps: I'm an audio engineer so I'm always looking for the best sound possible
Yeah built in. Way better than DPS manager

For me yes. I've used a lot of music apps and I feel that this is the best one. Although in your case being an audio engineer, you might want to check out jet audio in the play store. It has more options to change the sound.

Are you really surprised that Beats distorts bass with all the artificial bass added in for no reason in the first place?

Lol no I'm not, but I read that some people claimed it gave them better clarity. Unfortunately that wasn't the case for me

Thanks for the heads up on jet. I'll check that it out for sure. The ui is kinda meh though but that's secondary to the sound IMO. I am really digging noozy player. Especially the podcast section. That's a nice feature.

I have really good headphones that support a high current/voltage. I put up the dB on the DPS manager and it gets distorted. With the poweramp it does make the freq. more clear and powerful.
Poweramp and good headphones are all I've needed for clarity. Even without fiddling with EQ the clarity is good.
