Hey everyone, this is my first post on XDA and will try to continue and help others along with this post. I'd like to say that I have made some ROM and Howto Install videos for the Sprint Galaxy Nexus. I hope you like them and please give me feedback on how I can become better at making videos to help you all. Thanks
Since this is my first post I do not yet have the ability to post links, so I guess if you want to, just search JGandroot in Google or YouTube and It will show up.
I use XDA everyday and since all of you have helped me I decided that I will try to help all of you in return. Thanks people of XDA for this amazing opportunity and Happy Flashing!

I just wanted to post a general thanks to everyone. This site has been instrumental in helping me along the way to understanding Android, my smartphone, and how its' dumbuser is attempting to change things just a little bit better. I have joined to say that, learn more, and hopefully help out others as I have been helped.
With Gratitude,

Welcome to forums,
Nice first post
Read, Search, Respect and Enjoy!
Thank you orb300, the biggest help is certainly SEARCH. I appreciate your warm welcome.

This is the place where all "dumbusers" can help make a smart users project better....and have a "funner" android.

Welcome aboard OP.
You don't have to be crazy to be a member here...but it helps
Thanks from my end!
Hi members/developers,
Just wanted to add to what stalintc said, this site is definitely one of THE best of all websites! This website has by far made my boring old HTC Touch HD into a super awesome machine capable of anything! (well not ANYTHING - but you know what i mean).
P.s. HUGE thanks to those who have worked/working on the Android stuff; Legends!

hey Welcome ;-)
Welcome I agree this is a great place with tons of great info. It has helped me get my Captivate going at least 5 or 6 times so far when I thought I had bricked it
Thanks Superchunkwii.....your step-by-step guide was awesome. I was previously rooted and on SC 2.9 w/ EC01 radio but decided to go back to stock and get the OTA programming. After that, it wouldn't let me root using the methods I had used in the past (when I came from stock 2.1 a few months ago). This method allowed me to FINALLY get back to a rooted phone so I could get back to experimenting with various ROMs. Thanks again!!

Thanks for posting this thread! Gives us new posters a place to post, so we will eventually be allowed to post on the other threads!
This is also what I going to say. The forum is great.
Just wanted to say Thank you to XDA just found this site while searching around and am so excited for the resources and information found here..
Thank you
Welcome
It's a fantastic resource isn't it! So many clever people here working on making our smart phones much better
True. I just semi-bricked my device and got it back up by nvflash.
great job xda, lots of street cred
Thank you so much
This forum is fantastic. I have managed to root my nook, cause my nook not to boot, fixed that, changed mods many times, again caused it not to boot, fixed it again and all while having a bunch of fun. Just so you know I am a 50 year old woman who knows very little except how to follow directions and this place is great.
I completely agree, these developers, moderators, and admins really make this site amazing! Thank you!
This certainly makes a nice change from the 'Screw you for...' and 'Why can't I post in...' threads!
As Scotsman said, there truly is an amazing array of information, resources and people here. It's absolutely mind-blowing
Take the time to have a look around, read a lot, check the marketplace etc. Even answer a few questions in Q&A for newer members if you can. All adds to the experience
Most of all, enjoy yourselves!
EDIT: Threw a few 'thanks' around to spread the love! Don't forget to do the same if you find someone's post, ROM or information useful! (this post doesn't count)
Forum is great but the restriction of 10 posts are driving me crazy!
I absolutely love xda-developers! I'm so happy a nerd friend of mine link me here a while back. Before this forum, I didn't even know cell phones were hackable! lol
XDA is always a good time! Have Fun & Happy Flashing!
Have read XDA for a while. Today finally I stand here and say "Hello" to you guys. Thank you all XDAERS! XDA is really a helpful and useful source. Cheers!
if it werent for xda...wow i dont even want to think about it
so yes...THANK YOU XDA
Thanx XDA
I managed to unbrick and unbrand my german vodafone htc trophy
Welcome to the club!
Always nice to say thank you, and I second everything already posted!
I've used XDA for ages (as the awesome source of info it is), but only just registered to post in the forum. Reckon I can annoy and help in equal measure!
Just posting so I can thank Dlev7. Thanks for wasting my time, XDA

You don't need 10 posts to press the Thanks button. Cluttering up dev threads with a "thanks" post is exactly the kind of thing devs don't like.
thank you xda, nice team, nice developers, nice roms, nice all
XDA great job on your forum I found everything I'm interested in LG GT540
okay i have to add to this post..
i must also thank xda. i have learned so much on this website and it has helped me focus on my future and what i want to do for the rest of my life.
this forum is home to so much information. this website is the bible of mobile hacking and development. and the bible is still being written. i hope the information stored here is never lost.
this really makes me think. im that guy that bought a tablet form 1992. and spent 3 months trying to find touchscreen drivers for windows 95. i had to turn to the internet archives to find it... but i found it!
10 years from now im going to find my moto droid. look back on the primitive technology that i once used every day. and remember the adventures i had with it here on this site.
i love you xda.
Hey everyone! Just a short and simple post that may help some people. I have a YouTube Channel called "JGandroot." I have posted many ROM and root related videos for my Sprint Galaxy Nexus. So if you have the time, then I really recommend checking it out. Sorry if I do not belong here, this is my second post and I am very new. Thanks to all and Happy Flashing!
Are you a Noob with alot of questions? MYSELF & MANY OTHERS BEG OF YOU TO READ THIS!
Hello Noobs, and welcome to the XDA Galaxy S3 US variant forums! I've been answering alot of questions in the q&a section, and many in the general section where they don't belong, regarding issues that I like to refer to as "Android Hacking 101". These questions are, but not limited to, things such as how do I root my phone, what is a bootloader, how do I get better battery life and maximum performance and make my gs3 the greatest most wonderful thing on earth that everyone will be jealous of? (I made that last one up, but you get the idea, lol) I was a noob not so long ago, and I still have lots of questions, but I've learned how to walk that fine line of asking a question without making anyone want to shoot me, and also how to effectively search. I have a website to share with you all and you'll find it in the link below. The website is galaxys3root.com founded by user zedomax and he has tons of sites specific to several phones! He's an amazing guy who has tons of knowledge that he's kind enough to share with the world. On his Site you'll find both written & video tutorials where he will personally walk you through the rooting process, installing a custom recovery image(cwm), and installing a rom! He will also review some of the top roms for each gs3 variant and describe the features of the rom in detail. His sites are a great way for beginners to not only get their phones rooted, hacked, & with custom Rom, but to actually learn what exactly all of these processes are. I will also leave a link to his Site androidroot.org, where you'll find a plethora of other Android hacking videos that will provide you with tips and information regarding android development, and he's also quite entertaining. Please check out both of these sites, and I promise you'll learn a few things if all of this is new to you! Please remember to thank zedomax if you see him here on the XDA forums. I answer most any questions for beginners politely and I try to be as helpful as I can by sharing anything that I understand enough to share. I'm far from an advanced user, but I'm an avid reader and I soak in as much as I possibly can here on XDA. If you are new and you have any questions after you check out zedomax's sites, then please feel free to PM me & if I can't help you then I'll at least get you pointed in the direction of a thread or someone that can. I did not make this post to bust anyone's balls, like I said I'm no pro & I had all the same questions not too long ago, but I've been seeing a lot of these questions floating around and I've been including these links in all of my answers so I thought I would just make a post with the links as opposed to answering the same questions over & over. Good luck to all of you, and enjoy your new device!
Sincerely,
Androholic
