Currently I'm running KA12 Ice Cream Sony rom and I'm going to go back to CM7 due to random reboots and freezes.
I'm using Doomkernel Advanced Stock kernel
Will I need to change kernel for CM7 or will my current kernel suffice?

You will have to flash the kernel from CM7. Or another kernel that is compatible, but an ICS kernel won't work.

Is this an app issue or kernel issue?
This started occuring this week.
I flash different roms and they all work well.
I tested lately on different roms as well and kernels.
Touch and hold sometimes do not register, causing me to lose a race or die(madfinger games).
Anyone else experiencing this? And possibly identify what is wrong.
Thanks much!
Games tested:
Monster shooter: lost levels
Mini moto racing
Samurai 2 thd
Shadowgun thd
Dead trigger

This issue is known on AOKP/CM9 ROMs. Try with Sense ROMs, if it still doesn't work, it can be hardware fault. On MIUI this problem doesn't exist.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Yes I have noticed this more on AOSP/AOKP ROMS.
It does now on Sense ROMs.
I will have to continue testing some more. It was fluid last night when I flashed a sense rom, then early this afternoon there were some of it.
I came up with a theory that temperature is an issue, it has something to do with the temp of my thumbs or the device. Somehow when it's cold it doesn't react very well.
Any thoughts?

Running SandWiz ROM based on CM9. The issue should be on this ROM, but it doesn't exist. Maybe coz it has TouchWiz framework. And when I'm playing games, no matter which temperature, I have multitouch.

custom kernels there is a chance that it could cause this and i dont have ur problem i think
because i played shadow gun for about 30 min and nothing happend the touch was the same
here is what u do like i said before man
restore ur device to stock firmawre with a stock kernel try the latest leaked firmware like the (4.04)
and do wipes (factory/cache/dalvik ) from custom recovery
after that format ur storage charge ur phone fully
after that take it off the charger
and try playing shadow gun for 30 minuets see if it is the same
click thanks if i helped
Lately I have been using stock 4.04 kernel and still testing thr games. Shadowgun yes but ill wait for nexus7 to play it again. Touch seems back to normal with stock kernel, running on renocate 3.0.0 atm

Hey XDA,
i need serious help. Im running on an Paranoid Android (port of it) and Lupus CM9 version. The prob is when i turn off the phone and then i want to boot it up (2hours later) it does mess up. Before it has booted, i had to take battery out/in like 10 times. WTF? Sometimes bootlogo appeared but no quick vibrate that happens when you turn it on, sometimes no 2th vibrate (when you want to go to recovery), sometimes it rebooted after 5minutes of waiting. And because i want ICS but not dead phone with need to pull/push the battery, im asking here.
Thanks for help!

Hello, i am new to the android world, and am loving it. Ive tried a couple of roms, and decided to stick with Liquid Smooth Jelly Bean Rom. My only problem is this:
i have set the max frequency for the processor to be 1512 mhz(or lower sometimes), but sometimes it keeps automatically setting itself to 1900mhz, which i do not want. Is there a way to set it so that it will never go above 1512?
btw i am on 3.0.45 leanKernel if that helps.
Thanks
Check mark the set on boot box and restart phone right away after you change it back to 1500mhz.

Depends what kernel you're running, some kernel apps let you lock the frequencies so they cannot be changed by apps. If an app needs to run faster it will bump up the speed, so might want to check into that. Works on KT747 Kernel (Ktweaker).

Here's the link for the KT747 Kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756776 . It works with all AOSP (CM10, AOKP etc.) aswell as most touchwiz roms. I've never used Liquidsmooth so Idk what it's about but this thread should contain information about which roms it is compatible with. If you have any questions I suggest starting a new thread about what its compatible with or asking directly in the thread. Good luck Always flash Rom before kernel.

Well seen as u have zRam enabled u will have less ram. Along with FB which eats RAM and then playing games. Try disable zRam and see if problem persists that way if ram gets low FB will be killed.
But also u should always full wipe before flashing any ROM. Meaning wipe /system /data /cache and /dalvik-cache.
Hm I thought that zRam enlarges Ram memory, now I have disabled it and will try it that way,i have also moved Facebook back again to phone memory.

Today I moved the app to the SD card it seems that the lag in the launcher is less but still in games there's still lag,so tomorrow I'll flash the rom again by wiping everything to see if the problem still exists. And I have another question does really the adreno booster reduces gaming experience and it only helps in benchmark tests?

Haven't touched CM10.1 nightly ROMs for a while. But the LED Notification stopped working, stayed on an older version of CM10.1 nightly.
Gonna try that when I get home. Also PA made it to this device. Also the Jedi mind trick Roms. So many options. Wow head's spinning.
Leaning towards CM10.1 though.
No signal, can't play video
I was using CM10.0. Updated CM10.1 with corresponding gapp.
-Can't register on cellular network anymore. Can't set AWS frequency in the factory testing mode.
-All of my Video apps start legging, play videos for a little while and quit after about a minute, say video format not supported. Even though the video is mp4 format and it was playing it before quitting.
How should fix it? Flash kernel? Which kernel should I use?

Thanks that did the trick. I was going mad at why the LED notifications stopped working.
Also still on the non-touch recovery, 5.0.26 the one that needs the Darkmod scripts to wipe cache and do full installs.
Also had to turn sensor on/off before it actually worked. Read that from another post from someone that helped me.
Thanks again dude.
