How to put a Hard-Button for a file?

Hello everybody,
I want to put a file on a Hardware-Button. In normale with wm6 from O2 online I can put programms (Only the preogramms witch are put in "programms") like tomtom or something else on a Button. Unfortonatly not excel, word or Power Point. Now I´m searching for a solution to put on directly a file (*.ppt) to a button.
Any solutions???

Try to search for an applet called "Soft Key Applet" here at the forum.
With this little app you can set any application under the soft key you want, you should be able to set up a file also I guess, but I'm not sure, cause I never tried it before. Just install it on your phone and give it a try. If it doesn't work you still can uninstall it.

Sorry mate, didn't realise that you were looking for a HARDWARE BUTTON solution My English is just not good enough. So I think my suggestion wont help you any further

New panel library

Unfortunately the panel library seems to be down. This was a wonderful resource, but all DL links seems to be dead. Gtrab is aware of the probelm, but until then could people post links for all of the panels they have (no duplicates please) as well as new panel manager, active x support and flash panels etc. I cleaned out my SD card hoping to download panels again.

Does anyone know if the MEdia Experience panel is available for the R3A ROM? The one that actually came with the upgrade doesn't have integrated radio, it looks just like the old one. I have tried to install around 5 different cabs, but I think since they are modified to work with the R2A ROM, they don't work on R3A.. Thanks for any help..

Learn to write sentences that make sense (I'm telling you this cause your writing is pretty good, and atleast you would improve unlike others).
1) The Media Panel I uploaded is the R3A Version and it has integrated radio.
2) I don't think they work on R3A.
3) Your sentences don't make sense: are you saying the one I uploaded only works on the R2A Rom?

All the stuff of the leaked 'former R3A' is working with the actual R3A. Using German stock R3A at the moment and everything is working fine with the leaked material.

Do you have a link to the beta/leaked media panel (integrated radio ++) which you are quite sure works on the R3A? Would really appreciate it..

I've tried to install it on my stock Generic_UK_R3A, but it doesn't work properly. It will install and open, but the icons for the different media (pictures, music, radio etc) keeps flashing in a pattern, and it responds poorly if i try to scroll down. Any idea whats wrong?

You always have to make sure that you've installed the ActiveX-thingy and the "R3A"-panelmanager first to make the new mediapanel run. Don't forget the SDKcerts as well. All I can say is that on my X1 on generic German R3A ran perfectly. Now I've throughn them away again because it forced a plus of 10%-points om used RAM.

love wad 2..
It's easy to 'replicate' the sense ui with wad2..
It just takes too much time to place the items without decent hardware keys

i dont think it works in WVGA because someone was posted in the thread that they were waiting for a wvga version.
Still looks pretty slick though.

and just paste the above given file in you sd card
once you install try to run it you will see different screen (i.e. standard wad2)
and you need to go to setting....
change theme....
menu ..... scan for themes....
and follow instruction yes ... yes....
click to the name of theme you have saved in your sd card
and set it as ...... its done hope this rapid sugggestion helps you..

take a look to ageye's forum http://forum.ageye.de and see in the first 5 threads for Infinity. It is new and allways beta. But there are many possibillities with that gui. Take alook there...

shaban123 you are welcome. I have shared that info becuase i am one of the biggest ageye fan's . When the GUI -GDI interface is published i will skin it to dusk. One thing more for my thread ...

normally the support comes from ageye and the great forum there. But possible i can help in the short.
What have you downloaded and what have you done in which way that you have a problem now?

i have downloaded infinityv 0.2.4 and installed it and the skin i have downloaded is htc rosie and i have a folder that is named htc rosie and inside it there is all the file as infinity skin in the installation folders and i placed the htcrosie folder in the same folder as the infinity folder but it doesnt work!

yeah of course, you need root access, then use Root Explorer (or similar app) to edit the sys.txt located in /data/data/com.navngo.javaclient/
and then you need to have this in the sys.txt, replace the old part with this:

screen_xy="800_480:1280x670/720x1230"
^^ That will keep your android top bar visible, both in portrait and landscape.
If you would want fullscreen, then use this:

screen_xy="800_480:1280x720/720x1280:fullscreen"

EDIT: above edits are for when you are running your android OS WITHOUT the 3-dot button bar.

It does start up at the moment, but closes (without warning/error) in about 5 seconds every time I try to run it. Resolution shouldn't be the problem. Any idea what could be the cause?
Am on LeeDrOiDs ROM.

Try to rename your DCIM folder on your sdcard to something else... there might be some weird or corrupt image there (don't ask me why that has anything to do with igo though)

This was the problem, After renaming the DCIM folder, everything is working just fine. Strange...

Does anyone else find this extremely heavy? We have the best phone on the market (graphics-wise) and the bloody interface stutters. Igo is obviously obsolete.

You're kinda right, but it's the best navigation software for android hands down...

I think the problem is more in the navigation software than in the htc one x. Sygic is also not smooth at all on the htc one x. That's also the reason why I would love to see tomtom for android, but even though they promised it for this summer, I still haven't seen it.

I'm still having trouble configuring it, I tried a lot of multimode.ini / sys.txt modifications. I either get a 1280x720 not supported error, or it closes itself after a few seconds (renaming DCIM does nothing). I'm on stock ROM, not rooted, so I can only edit multimode.ini inside the data.zip archive. The .apk is supposedly made for 1280x720, but maybe I should use another one?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Have you rooted your phone? How did you manage to access the data folder on the phone?

Still, Waze works great and so does Google Maps, and the latter uses bloody 3D Satellite imaging.
The capability exists, it's just that most big-name navigation software (Igo, Sygic, etc) haven't really rebuilt their core engines from the bottoms up in ages, and rely on decade-old technologies.

Do you have old pictures from another phone in DCIM folder? I had old photos from my old phone, until I moved them then iGO worked.
Apparently, photos with Geographic data will appear in the iGO map as POI, so that might be the problem.
