Any good prepaid GSM plans lol
I do believe there's a GSM carrier named Simply Mobile that sells 2GB data, etc. etc. for $45/mo. They're a rebranded reseller of T-Mobile service and it includes HSPA+ meaning you'll have download speeds unlike anything Sprint could ever hope to provide to us and our phones.

Straight Talk rocks in my opinion. Been on them for the last 2 months and loving every minute of it. $45/mo unlimited - and I don't have to deal with data throttling.
Tmobile prepaid plan includes unlimited web 5gb full speed after that they gonna start throttle unlimited texts and 100 voice talk for just 30dollars. I am really considering this plan with gsm 399 nexus.

My wife hardly uses her phone and used the 100 voice talk in less than 3 weeks. And you can't autorenew just the minutes. You're out of luck until the beginning of the next month.

Yes. Go to http://www.straighttalksim.com and buy a SIM card from them, either for AT&T or T-Mobile. The Unlocked GSM Nexus can do both. Make that decision based on the coverage areas for both.
The speeds are spectactular - again faster than you'll get with Sprint (for the most part) on either 3G or WiMax and you get better coverage in buildings.

I'm lucky enough to also have an AT&T employee plan for $30/month with 2000 mins unlimited text and unlimted data. GNex bought and patiently waiting.

Same argument applies to Verizon. But at least they have good service.
You couldn't pay me to go back to Sprint.
I'm not going for that horrible CDMA speeds even if they pay me...bad deal for someone to be stuck on sprint for 2 years waiting for LTE to come. GSM is the way to go or Verizon if network coverage and LTE is important.

I don't know how you're using 18GB a month, Sprint's speeds are atrociously slow.
Its on 3g and I get about 250KB/s so I have been netflixing/hulu/HBO go/xfinity play/crackle alot here
Honestly enough for me on a phone no need for 2MB/s so there lte here will be only a bonus. Other areas I agree too so slow hopefully lte there will help. Plus unlimited is unlimited no matter what.
Either the tower has been upgraded recently or hardly any sprint users here the latter is impossible since I know so many have sprint here.

http://www.tmonews.com/2012/08/t-mo...unlimited-data-plan-thats-actually-unlimited/
At a time when Verizon and AT&T are charging more for Data, T-Mobile comes to the rescue with unlimited Data for $30 for Classic Plans and $20 for Value Plans.
<3 I am excited! I was actually considering switching to Sprint for truly unlimited data, but now that my beloved T-Mobile is getting it, I am never leaving!
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
The unlimited data plan does not allow tethering. This is a quite reasonable limitation in my opinion but even so I am sure it will be bypassed on rooted phones by Sept. 7th.
Its almost TOO good to be true. But Tmo does take out the included HotSpot Tether (easy work around for us here tho ). This + the iPhone5/LTE (hopefully for Tmo's sake) + HEAVY marketing (including improved network toting & great prices) will bring new customers in droves. Tmo needs this combo punch for the holiday season.
Also, does anyone know how to only test the 1900 HSPA+ band on the GNex instead of AWS/1700 HSPA+? Tmo has been working on HSPA+ over their 1900 band for some months now, and I want to see if any towers in and around Seattle are enabled yet.
Have not been this excited about something from tmo in a long time. Still waiting for a catch, but damn this will be epic. I get unlimited through my dealer line anyway, but will be awesome for my wife.

Great battery life using HSPA+ here.
I bought a gn2 unlocked off craigslist for $450.00 cash.
Purchased a solavei wireless sim card.
60 bucks a month no throttle after any amount of data used.
Great coverage averaged 14 mbps down. Hmm with speeds like these hard to see how sprint stays with these guys.
For the first time in years I have been thinking of bouncing. From sprint to another Carrier . The blazing data speeds have me mezmerized. Solavei rides on tmobiles network. But at that price it may be worth a switch.
Bought the 2nd gn2 for a work phone. Gonna wait and see if sprint builds out the lte network in my area. But it's sad when I go back to my sprint gn2 and speeds won't pay 512 kbps on average.

HSPA+ ? Trust me even still in the dfw areas it's good averages 6 to 15Mbps. They don't need to roll out lte but normal consumers don't understand differences between 4g technology. And t mobile is truly using 3g but when pushed to its ultimate limits it hits 4g like speeds. But they don't people that obviously.but that's why gsm is so much better than cdma and other stuff too lol

I have tmobile and one of their major slogans sort of is "the only truly unlimited data plan". Ive used like 30 gigs of data the month I have owned my note 2 and have never been throttled. Usually get around 27mb 19 down. I notice no change in speed.

If Sprint were to release EvDo RevB or even RevC, it'd pull speeds of up to 30mbps, too. Problem is, lte becoming the new standard, it'll evolve the fastest and its cost efficient for Sprint in the long run (also cost efficient for any carrier.) This is why everyone's going to lte.

GSM certainly has its advantages, that's why I was with T-mobile previously. The HSPA is getting pretty fast at it's peak, but there are so many times when you don't get those numbers if you are in a heavily used area.
Having said that, I switched to Sprint because they are implementing the next wave of GSM (READ: LTE-A) before T-mobile will be finished with their GSM network (Read: HSPA+42)

Having different brands can be easier than trying to explain the differences between your products. For instance, Sprint's offerings have features like roaming, nights and weekends, mobile to mobile, LTE, etc, while Virgin Mobile doesn't. It's probably less confusing for the average consumer to view two brands than to have Sprint explain, "This is a 300 minute plan, but it's not the same as these other plans because it's missing these features." Instead, Sprint gets to market VM as a full service provider to people who don't know what they're missing.

They're shifting everyone to LTE - I think - to try and start taking down WiMax in some of these markets. I'll be interested to see if any new devices will be able to use the Clear band anytime soon.
All in all will be an interesting year for Sprint. If the deals go their way they may be in nice shape for the rest of the CY.
Only devices using wimax now are the multi band hotspots and clears routers/hotspots. No new wimax phones are being produced, but older stock maybe rebranded a la the epic touch on boost and vm

Then again, I had Cricket not too long ago (switched from Cricket to Sprint when I got the Note 2 on opening day) with my EVO 3D and they make you pay for each GB of data per month.
I had 2GB and was paying 60 a month. It sucked when the data speeds slowed.
Think it was an extra ten for another GB.
In actuality, their data is not unlimited.
I called and complained to them stating I thought everything was unlimited and they said, "well, not that."

Yes the limit is 5 on one plan. I got a supervisor to approve adding a 6th line for me.

Yes I am authorized for 10 plus lines on my "account". But the limit per "plan" is supposed to be only 5 lines. So you can have 2 plans with 5 lines each, but not 10 on one plan. Unless you open a business plan.

I got ya. The post was a little misunderstood. I thought he was talking account, not share plan.

Cricket wireless has the best plan then any cell phonw provider. There new plans include. $60 for 2gb+free tethering and $70 for 5GB of data and tethering is it worth an extra 10? I think so lol
