[Q] Tether Options - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Greetings,
I'm currently rooted with my Sprint Galaxy S2, however the tether option isn't working. I'm using the ROM here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1609255) on my phone. Can anyone shed some light on this one? Just not available in this ROM or what?
Thanks,
USMarineNCO

Wired or wireless tethering? And to what?

Easy Tueffel. You can use the Foxfi (market) or Wifi Tether (search it) apps. If you use Wifi Tether, set the device profile to Samsung Galaxy nexus (CDMA/LTE).

I believe that you flashed a stock rooted rom that does not include the hacked tethering apps.
You may want to consider switching back to Gingerbread if you're just starting out.
Here are the steps for that:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24158551&postcount=9980
After that, you can flash a custom rom with wifi tethering already hacked.
Edit: The rom you downloaded is ICS based. If you're just learning about flashing your phone, you may want to switch over to Gingerbread based roms using the instructions I provided. It is far safer for a newbie NOT to try ICS until they're ready.
I'm currently running this GB Rom:

I wouldn't recommend trying to flash it directly unless you use the method above to get on the correct platform first. ICS and Gingerbread are different operating systems.

[Q] Hydra kernel w/ built in wireless tether

not sure what you mean by the "not the app on the market" but these simple steps will probably lead you to your solution.
1. back up through rom manger or nandroid
2. install hydra kernel
3. check if wifi tether works (if so... steps end here)
4. wifi tether doesn't work therefore reboot into recovery and restore backup ROM
personally i see no reason why it shouldn't work.
I'm using that kernel and the tether in my stock rom works. I'm am not running cm6

[Q] Noob question regarding WiFi calling

Hi I tried searching the threads but couldn't be sure about the following issues.
1. If I move to any AOSP/AOKP rom like cyanogenmod, is there a way to enable wifi calling?
2. If I move back to official Samsung rom will I get back my wifi calling? unlike some other unlucky folks, its working for my without giving me any trouble for the last 3/4 months (link for official rom would be appreciated)
3. If I install any pre-rooted official ROM, what will happen to the wifi calling?
I know answers to these questions, but not absolutely sure about them. Before I had SGS1 (I9000), and flashed many different rom on that, but I'm new to wifi calling and some guys having issues with it.
1.no
2.yes
3.it will work

No, yes, nothing.
If you're on a stock ROM just Odin cf auto root. Doesn't make sense to flash a whole ROM.
Using wicked v3 and no problems with wifi calling at all.

[Q] Wi-Fi Tethering

I need help with Wi-Fi tethering on Jelly Bean t999 stock rom with T-Mobile. I have root access with Super User on it. My phone came with Jelly Bean out of the box. My last S3 had the same issue. I use Wi-Fi Tether from the Android market. I use it on auto and it will not work. I need advice on what I can do to by pass this?

Use an updated ROM with the built in capabilities or use the modded trevE WiFi tethering app. A Google search can bring you to the trevE one

[Q] Which Rom allows for Free Tethering?

I know now with the Jelly Bean Rom I can't just go and freeze Tethering Manager anymore.
So I am wondering if any of the New Roms (with Jelly Bean) allow the free mobile hotspot/tethering?
I looked through all of them and haven't seen that listed as one of the "features" of the Rom.
If anyone knows which (if any) Rom with 4.2/4.3 Has the Wireless hotspot/tethering feature already unlocked it would be great.
Right now Im running on the stock Rom and I would love to get the tethering feature to work. (since i have the "true" unlimited data package)
Thanks!
Basically every rom has free tethering. The only ones that don't are the Odin stock roms.

[Q] list of roms with native tether hack?

Hello all. I need a bit of help. I've been looking for a reliable ROM with working native tether. I tried Jedi x2 but I miss a lot of calls and since I use my phone for work I can't risk missed calls. Ultimately I think I would like a stock, rooted 4.3 ROM with native tether working. I'm already on the 4.3 baseband BTW. Any help is appreciated. Oh I also tried swarm 2.1 but I couldn't get tether working. Sorry. Very noon...
