update 16 July
Since the Touch Pro2 is finally out in Europe, I expect a lot of new video's about the phone.
Instead of making a thread per video, I thought of making a thread where we gather all the videos. If you find a video that isn't in the list, please post and I will update the list of video's.

Good thread. I hate it when these get started but then don't get updated.
Anyway there should be a ton of reviews within the week and this will save everyone searching a lot of time.
I'm new here, any way to request a sticky?

I expect most media to do it pretty much like pocketnow did--have videos in the review, but have a written review that ties them all together.
Even though some organizations call some of their videos "reviews", they're not much more useful than your average hands-on preview videos. So I definitely support including test reviews.

As you can see I did I only will put new text reviews on though, because other reviews are made from the preprelease versions. So every new review that comes out from now, I will add.

New review added, consisting of 2 parts. Really good review (at least that's what I think)
Posted this into the android apps section but got quickly put to the second page so here it is in the G2 section. There is a Tiny Wings clone available now called Dillo Hills. It has a couple more features than tiny wings, for instance the ability to change your character (default is an armadillo), change the graphics between low, medium and high, and the ability to glide for a short while.
There is a paid and a free version. As far as i can tell the free version just wont let you change characters. Have Fun
Played the free version for like a week now and I loved it. Key word loved. This game is like fruit ninja and those type of games, I can play them for like a week then I just get bored. I like adventure games and games that change and can be beat. Zenonia is probably my favorite phone series. Can't wait for number 3.

Thanks for the heads up! I heard about this game a few weeks ago but it wasn't out yet.
Another thing with this game, its way too hard. When you get to zone 6 it seems you can't go fast enough and your health slowly goes down and the only thing I can do is rush to get through zones so it raises my happiness. I think I may be playing the game wrong, but as hard as I try I can't go faster than the halfway mark on zone 6 and on.

Angry Birds for Windows Phone is now Live!
Posted on Tue, 28 Jun 2011 11:38 pm EDT by Daniel Rubino
Filed Under: games
Yes, people. Let the taunting end tonight. Between the promise of custom ringtones and now the fulfillment of 'Angry Birds', Windows Phone 7 has had its day.
Angry Birds is easy on of the most anticipated games to hit the new OS and it should gives us a wee bit more parity with competing systems (using some odd metric for success, of course). From the app description, it's what you expect:
"Angry Birds is coming to Windows Phone! The survival of the angry birds is at stake. Dish out revenge on the green pigs who stole the birds’ eggs. Use the unique destructive powers of the angry birds to lay waste to the pigs’ fortified castles. Each of the 165 levels requires logic, skill and brute force to crush the enemy."
The game fetches for $2.99 with a free trial, as usual, though we're skipping right to 'buy' since we're kind of predictable like that. You can get it right now by following this link to the Marketplace. Hit us up in comments and let us know what you think. (Thanks, Dalton C., for the heads up!)

Plays well on Mozart, just as addictive as on the other platforms...well done rovio! WP7 feels a little more complete now.

angry bird is fun to play,,,,,thanx for sharing the information,,,,
There are only 21 levels available in the trial version right ?
I've never played this game on any platform previously... I only bought it in reaction to so many ppl yearning for it... lol...
I was getting by with pandas v ninjas...
Plays well... I like it... Believe the hype!
I like this port much better than the android port. It's smoother, the graphics seem crisper, and the physics is spot on. Don't forget the achievements!
Sorry for double post, but I'm wondering what is the breakdown of levels for Angry Birds for WP7 ? 63 for Poached Eggs, and how many of the respective levels ? How about the other missing 90 levels ?

Guess again.
The WP7 paid version is listed in the Marketplace as having 165 levels. The full version on both Android and iOS is listed in their respective markets as having 255 levels. Do the math.
Very smooth.....Im at the point where Ill be happy with any app or game that just runs smoothly, without lag or choppiness. too many are plagued by this. Looking forward to Mango for this very reason.
It might sound odd, but I found the framerate a tad lower than on android (maybe because I played on a tab).
I do like the game, but I was annoyed that it took ages to port it, made it quite pricey compared to other platforms, but didn't even take their time to fix tombstoning !!! Surely they will fix it, but it's far from perfect now.
I downloaded the trial version, and played through it once, and it was fine. But when I tried to play through some of the levels again, it force closed every time I tried to select a level. I rebooted my phone and tried again, and it worked again. But after closing the game again, and using my phone for other things, the force close returned the next time I tried to load a level. It doesn't seem ready for prime time to me. ESPECIALLY with it's higher-than-every-other-platform price tag.
Not as smooth as the iOS version. I get some hiccups now and then. Using Samsung Focus.
Is there any way to link your achievements with Facebook? I do this with my ps3 trophies when I get a trophy it posts to my wall not sure how Xbox works
Can confirm a few random crashes, no tombstoning with start button, and lag now and then with choppy framerate, nothing major but seriously in contrast with the xboxlive tag and price
I didn't notice any lag or low framerate problems, it's running great on my Omnia.

My quantum is running it great. I bought it at 7:30am EST =) I actually think it looks better than its iPhone counterpart, the initial startup time seemed a little longer than an iPhone4 but mango could close that gap.
I have a quantum too and showed my mate with an iGroan 4 who loves angry birds and within seconds he stated it looked better and smoother than his iGroan... After playing it on my phone he even said the control was better... And he's staunch iGroan...
Okay, so I just spent half an hour looking through the Android Market at the top games and apps, and haven't really seen anything that catches my eye!
Now, maybe it's just me, and I'm being a little too fussy, but I really don't seem to be able to find a good, highly addictive long term game.
Current Games - Mark /10:
Doodle Jump - 6
Blood and Glory - 7
Cut the rope - 4
Enchanted Realm - 6
Fieldrunners - 8
Flight Control - 4
Fruit Ninja - 5
Great Little War Game - 6
Gun Bros - 5
Tap Tap 4 - 5
Zynga poker - 2
Unblock Me - 9
As for interesting apps... I can't find anything :/
Any help and advice would be nice?
Thanks in advance!
I have been searching for that game you are looking for for over a year now and haven''t found anything myself yet.
Gun Bros was fun in the beginning, but Glu Mobile only wants to milk your wallet a bit more (that goes for all of their games, mind you!). All fine with me, but the game strats to drag after a few months of play and becomes tedious. It levels too slowly, or, to put it differently, the weapons are too expensive (and the expensive one do not even live up to expectation). I abandoned it after like three months or so.
I like the ""Choice of ..." series very much -- I'm currently playing Broadsides and Romance. I'm not originally into RPGs, but this is kinda fun. It more or less makes the story more interesting if you have influence on the outcomes, even if it sometimes is clear the difference is minor because the story picks up again the same way it did the last few times. Nice time-waster, though.
Random Mahjong for the sleepless hours (I use it with Screen Filter to dampen the screen brightness a bit, primarily to soothe my eyes since I have it plugged it when I''m in bed anyway).
Flight Control: meh. Fun in the first few levels, but tedious after a while.
Plants vs. Zombies: very funny, like the humor. Have played it on the PC -- great fun -- an enjoy it on the Android platform. Wish I could play it on a bigger screen, though: it wouldn't be the first time I scr**ed up on plant placement.
Virtual City: instant buy. Like it very much, but haven't been playing lately due to real life taking over for a bit. Have the Sandbox Edition installed as well, but haven't played it yet for the same reasons.
Age of Wind: likeable, and fun, but the steering mode annoyed me and I was put to the bottom of the sea very fast. I find the economics unclear and " steep".
Apparatus: reputed to be great fun. Installed, but not played yet.
Dead Space: looked like a winner (oh, the visuals! : D ), but the controls annoyed me supremely. Happily uninstalled.
Guerilla Bob: fun, but not for a the long-term you are apparently looking for. I liked it though, but again, way too short.
Robo Defense: immensely fun, and you can keep experimenting on different lay-outs and tower compositions. Achievements provide that little extra oomph of stimulus to go on and on and on. Had to wrestle myself away from this one for sheer terror of social dysfunction.
Stupid Zombies: fun, and a ''thinker'', but very hard on higher levels, which might be a put-off if you're a casual gamer.
Reckless Getaway: fun, but it turns out I'm a crappy virtual driver (luckily not so in real life -- that doesn't really fit with a motorcycle, now, doesn't it ; )
Cut the Rope: quite possibly a killer game for most of us. Thinking fast is key here, I like it very much. (I have to admit though that my 3.5 year-old son is about as good as I am. But he is astonishingly good for a 3 yo, ROFLOL!)
Great Little War Game: hard one, this one. Liked it, but was not 'steadfast' and sometimes was unclear what consequences movement would have. There is only an inconsequential und relatively uninformative tutorial, so you're left to fend for your own.
Not played (extensively): UNO, Siegecraft, Virtual City Sandbox Edition.
Hope that helps a bit.

It seems as if you've taken the time and effort to help me out and share your ideas and opinions, so thanks a lot! I shall hit the like button when I'm next at my laptop!
I think I'll give all the games you've mentioned a go, and hopefully this threads still going in a week or so and I can give some feedback on those games!

i'm currently addicted to Where's My Water ... it's really fun to play
If your looking for a long term game to play like op on laptop or pc like fifa or warcraft or aion or need for speed there ar none to few...the gameplay on android device is limited by your own taist ,like marty allready told @ some game's controls ar badass.
Deadspace and Nova2 hd ar the taste for eyes but a hate for controls
Eart and Ledgend and Samurai2 and Third blade free ar for rpg less graphical lust for eyes but controls ar way better
Sleepy Jack and Cordy and sonic4 and windup kight and snowpro ar good/oke but also simple gameplay
And for app's depend on what your using your phone for howe old you ar and where you live
I am a plumber/central heating and work on new and renovation buildingsite's so for my work i use extreme alarm clock to set alarm ,tiny flashlight for in the dark and calculator for..and business calander and fm radio
For fun i use plume for twitter ,friendcaster pro for facebook ,skype and chaton to talk and text with home or friends and some dutch app's.
For practical use a have 1tap cleaner ,documents to go ,advanced task killer ,Dr.web(for security) ,igo8 to not get lost here in europe ,my data manager for 3g ,total recall for sgs2 to record my call's ,tunein radio when i am home over wifi ,weather and toggle widget ,weather pro ,shopsavvy as barcode scanner while shopping ,dish pointer for when i am on grand prix sidecarcross camping and having truble with my satelite reciver to watch tv.
Greats mike
I will end this noooow! Cartoon wars! Its suuuuuuuuuper addictive!! . Please try it.

A few I like
Windup knight
World of Goo
Backstab
Nova 2
Dungeon hunter 2
Hero of Sparta
They are all battery killer though (especially the gameloft games), so take that into consideration when you still have half a day to go before recharge.
