If you have titanium backup, can you not reinstall from list out deleted apps.
This only applies off you made a backup.
If you select backup restore, scroll to bottom of list and it should show a list off apps with a line through showing which apps have been deleted but still have backup data select and restore app with data.

This started happening to me out of no where. Can anyone think of a solution or the cause of this issue ?
Everytime I hit the home key it will ask me to choose a default launcher. After I do, it will ask me again every time I hit my home key.
Im choosing Touchwiz, the other option is Go home since it comes with my rom.
I'm running Calkulins 2.9.2 rom.
I have uninstalled apps related to Widgets and launchers, cleared defaults etc..
How could I uninstall the go home app completely? Maybe that will do it.
Thanks in advance everyone !

First, you are checking the default checkbox before you select the launcher after pressing home right?
Yes. lol
I could only wish it was that simple.
Its not really a big deal but after a while its annoying having to push an additional button.

Well, just use root explorer or something to delete the application, or just use like titanium backup and un install it that way

Exactly what the title says. I went to reboot for the first time after rooting ICS on my phone. For a brief second clockwork recovery flashed on screen. Then I got a blank backlit screen for about 5 seconds. It then flashed the loading ring with the arrow and the clockwork hat. Then it rebooted right back in normally. Weird. Call BS all you want, I swear this to be true.

EDIT: I am able to reproduce this!! To do so, do the following:
Force restart your phone by holding Power + Volume Up. Once it vibrates, let go of the power button, but continue to hold Volume UP. Once SONY appears on screen, press and hold it, while still holding the Volume UP button. It "should" now appear.
The CAMERA button acts as the OK button in this recovery.
NOTICE!!! - What you do is your own risk, my phone wont keep it on screen for more than 90 seconds.
Thanks to: ganeshbiyer for informing me about pressing the sony logo on screen

It is the part of rooting toolkit.
Keep pressing the Sony Logo while booting to access the recovery.
First time it is seen and then goes blank, press vol down to display it.
But nothing works.

I wasn't able to access recovery by simply pressing the SONY logo. The only way I was able was in conjunction with the Volume UP button.

We have to keep tapping SONY logo while booting. I got recovery that way.

Yea, the bad thing is that since it was designed for Xperia S and not the Ion you cannot back up yet.
Anyone messaged doomlord to see if he's willing to try making cwm for ion now that we have legit ICS?

Not sure where he is located, but if he is within 100 miles of me, I'll take him my phone for testing/dev.
Anyone try making the CWM folders on the SDCARD and see if CWM will work then? I would try but I forget what the folder names are suppose to be.
good things are happening one after the other
Welp i PMed doomlord hopefully he gets it and reads it. His profile mentions he might ignore it. Hes done kernels for x10 and xperia s and my beloved htc flyer. I guess the community donated him a xperia S ...

Doomlord, I know you've done a lot of developing for Sony smartphones. Do you have any intentions on developing for the Ion? I have an AT&T Ion. If you do plan to develop. Let me know if I can provide anything that may be of help. This phone has plenty of potential, and I know you can exploit it.

If you are on stock rom, i'm afraid there is no easy solutions ... i didn't find any myself
On custom rom, some give access to a button to close every running app, CM10 for example, on top right of the screen
Hey all I have a question about recovery on my GS2. My question is my phone wont power on due to a black screen and constant vibrating. It happened to me twice now and the first time I was able to fix it. My question is I made a recovery on my phone after I fixed it and I called t-mobile tonight and they are going to send me a replacement phone. My question is I have a backup and I was wondering if I could take that backup and restore to it on my new phone???
It SHOULD work. No guarantee though.

i think you can do a factory reset. it's in settings.
Yes, you can erase all info. Just wipe it all. Factory reset...cache....system...dalvick...etc. Your phone will be squeaky clean :fingers-crossed:
I cant power on the phone or get into recovery.
Holding power button and both up and down volume buttons don't work either? I mean hold all 3 at the same time.

i don't know if it's in the development section or not. But, i have an idea to implement the crt-off animation using third party apps.
for now, i have successfully hook the power button press in my application. since i've done that, here's my idea:
Power Button pressed
my app called by powerbutton
my app screen captured the whole screen and put it into ImageView or something
animate the View by shrink it to the middle
know i have a problem with taking a screen capture using JAVA, since it's third party apps, my application must run in the memory, because the power button doesn't CALL the app, but my app HOOK the power button.
You know it's still idea, reviews are welcome.
It's a bold move, but it might just work!

You can capture the framebuffer for screenshot. But that requires root permissions. To run the app all the time make it a service and capture boot completed broadcast and start service on booting.
