Scratched Screen - HTC One X

I had some scratches on my screen which isn't visible except under sunlight. I put my phone in my pockets alone. My keys are in a seperaate pocket. And I as far as I know gorilla glass is suposed to be anti-scratch. And I remmember that I read somewhere that I can ask for a replacement if I had a scratch on the gorilla glass. So anyone haf similar issue and managed to get a replaceme?

Now, do it to the back of the phone?
Because that will also be exposed to the keys. Ha.

Now do a drop test
Nice video, how about try that on the camera lens to see if it is made of gorilla glass to?
What about the body? I've seen Gorilla glass tests before, but this new hardened plastic thing is another issue.

Can you please share where you got it? I guess you had to cut it to fit the lens on the One X?
I don't want to use a gel case on the phone, but it is my only way currently to protect the lens.

ohhhh my mistake! I have nothing protecting the lense on the one x at the moment. I thought you meant the lense on the dslr i used to film it. But yeah i see the problem...i might end up butchering a screen protector for it
impressive part 2, i wonder if the the grey version's backside would survive
Stacy, I love you. You're mad but fell safer after watching that video.

Yeah its still working perfect. Just a couple of noticeable scratches in the centre of the display. Really annoying because my screen protectors have been delivered today.

I feel for you. I dropped my 1st One X (fell out of my pocket) when I was kneeling down and somehow I had a mark on the screen. I couldn't stand it. Plus I had a yellow spot on the screen too. After having the mark on the screen I sold it and got a new one.
Have you tried going to a repair shop? I looked around where I live and a guy quoted me $139.00AUD to do my phone. But it doesn't matter no because I sold it.

Camera glass

Has anyone managed to crack the glass on their camera yet?
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA
No, and with luck I never will!!
No, as far as I have seen here not. But the camera glass isn't Gorilla glass so take care of it ...
It can be scratched easily ... (see other topics about that)

Yes.
Boot into fastboot.
Plug USB in
Turn phone over
Hit with hammer.
It was pretty easy to work out how to do this, much easier than s off.
Feel free to donate if this helps.

Water under screen...

So I attempted to put a screen protector on my phone that required water and I pretty much fried my screen. I'm pretty sure I need to replace the LCD at this point but is there anything else I could possibly do without having to resort to that? Thanks.
How can you fry the screen by applying a screen protector , it's a sealed unit - even the speaker holes are waterproof.

Hi,
You could try putting it in a box of rice - sometimes that can help draw the water out. Just make sure to cover the 3.5 jack, you dont want rice going down there.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

I'd love to know the steps you took applying this screen protector,
Because I've applied countless protectors, all wet.
& I soak mine more than recommended.

It happens to be before too. I remove the water using a hair dryer. I believe the water enter the screen due to the gap at the bottom of the screen.

Dropped mine into water and dried out after a few hour. Water was under the screen.

Fast overheating + cameralens loose

When my one X is charging on textile like a pillow or sth it heats up like crazy. Anyone with the same problem?
Also my lens looks like it is gonna give up on me any day now..
I always take great care of my phone, before this one had a hd2 had it for 3 year, not a single scratch. I hate the cheap ass build quality.
I won't buy a dumb plastic piece of sh.. anymore. HTC please, for your next phones, use aluminium.
I wonder, can the heating problems be fixed?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Well, y'know, you could put it on something thermally conductive rather than a thermal insulator.

I'm not that careful with my phone, and not a single mark, dent, scuff, scratch or any other sign of damage.
Dropped it a few times too

This is one of the most scratch resistant screens I've ever had.if you don't put it in your pocket with keys ect I doubt it will scratch.
