Now, do it to the back of the phone?
Because that will also be exposed to the keys. Ha.

Nice video, how about try that on the camera lens to see if it is made of gorilla glass to?

What about the body? I've seen Gorilla glass tests before, but this new hardened plastic thing is another issue.

Can you please share where you got it? I guess you had to cut it to fit the lens on the One X?
I don't want to use a gel case on the phone, but it is my only way currently to protect the lens.

ohhhh my mistake! I have nothing protecting the lense on the one x at the moment. I thought you meant the lense on the dslr i used to film it. But yeah i see the problem...i might end up butchering a screen protector for it

impressive part 2, i wonder if the the grey version's backside would survive

Stacy, I love you. You're mad but fell safer after watching that video.

HTC One X build material

I had HTC Desire, and one thing I loved about that phone. Whenever I had a scratch on the back of the phone all of what I had to do was just rubbing it with my hands and it just disappears.
When I bought Motorola RAZR it had Kelvar fabrics on the back and I really couldn't put a scratch on it from my daily use but the plastic bezel around it started to look as if it's 2 years old phone, I could easily get it scratched by just putting it on my desk. So I sold it. And I'm thinking in getting HTC One X now.
So, I heard that HTC One X is built from polycarbonite plastic and I really have no idea what is that. Is it's build material close to the desire's? I don't want to put a case on my phone and I don't want scratches from daily ues, I just want something like my old Desire.
One X is more similar to the white poly-carbonate parts on the Sensation XL
so the answer is no its hard to scratch the rubbery back at worst might be like your old Desire or like Sensation XL which doesn't even leave marks
as for the white parts an the rest of the frame is sturdy poly-carbonate with real color wether grey or white, its not coated or painted and hence if a deep scratch will only show the same color under it
The only part of concerns might be the glossy sides which might not surivive as the rest
and finally the screen is protected well with gorilla glass 2.5 and metallic frame around the screen

I wonder what happens if you scratch the sides, actually. What's underneath? The same matte finish as the back?
In that case I'm totally filing mine down!!!!!!

That or some sort of metal.
I've sanded the pinkish paint of the sides of my desire and it looks awesome!
I hope we can do the same to the one x.

I think they are referring to the micro arc oxidation process on 1S. Early reviews have shown that the polycarbonate body on 1X isn't that sturdy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXqdiCe2_yk&t=1m

Which one is better?
-The thing is, the Nillkin is much cheaper..
And about the beauty of it, I can always take the clear one and then it's like the naked phone. Ah?

Didn't get the back done, i was debating covering up the aluminium, but i decided to do it and im on my way to get it done now, ill update it when I get home.
My one X only had white carbon fiber back on it, so I'm curious how it looks. I like the grip it adds.
I don't know if I'll do the screen or not. The screen on the ONE is amazingly fingerprint resistant.
I wonder if their carbon fiber gun metal would cover up the white sufficiently.

The photojojo macro band is great in my opinion. It doesnt work well with a case though, I usually end up popping the phone out and putting the band on. You can see some of the pictures I used it on here http://www.flickr.com/photos/sad_ryu/ (This set specifically http://flic.kr/s/aHsjHjR9hr )
Any of the macro shots (most are instagramed) in my photostream were taken using a Galaxy Nexus, Note 2 or HTC One.
Its a little tricky due to shallow depth of focus, and you need good light, either sunshine or a torch, but you can get some nice shots with it.
Has anyone got any example photos taken with those?
Screen question

I was wondering why does it not work with a case on? is it due to a focus issue? I would love if i could keep my UAG case on while using the easy macro band. It seems so cool and useful
It works best when flat against the lens glass. If the case separates the two, you just get a blurry mess.
