Some more possibly noobish questions - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

I was wondering if it was possible or if it already exists a tweak or mod that allows sense roms to view homescreens in a landscape format like in nitsuj's tsm bullet Rom without having to use a launcher from the app market? Second question probably more pertains to the themes and apps section but I am currently running a sense 3.5 rom and although these roms are pretty smooth I am not fond of the rounded nav bar or bliss rosie options but I do like the sense 4 nav bar/dock bar or rosie whatever the correct term is but I know that has 5 buttons compared to the 3 that I currently have, is there a way to implement that into my current Rom or would that not work due to being way to different and if not are there any themes or mod to accomplish this?

The short answer is no.

That's kind of what I figured but I wasn't having much luck with google and I am in no way shape or form linux savvy

Gingerbread status bar

Is there a flash over for stock 2.2 that will give you the look of gingerbread.. as in all the icons up top looking like you are running gingerbread? Hope this makes sense

check this out
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=809985
and then go down to "Optional Downloads:" and you will see about 4 different gingerbread styles for what you're looking for (at least i think its what you're looking for) lol hope this helps. and yes they do work with a stock ROM i have tried them, there is one though for the weather/ notifications bar that is terrible so read what ones are what.
Thank you very much. This is what I am looking for

[Q] rotating menu buttons

I recently installed CM7 and the bottom buttons no longer rotate...I understand that this is due to the fact that CM7 is not running sense, But i was curious if there would be a way to implement this feature in any way..
No not at this point. The rotating buttons are a feature built into the sense framework and since aosp/cm7 has a different fw, it won't work. Same thing with animated data arrows I'm told.

Yep probably never gonna happen

Thank you both for you input. So the only way to get these features operating would be to flash a sense or a hybrid rom..any suggestions on a good one?

[Q] Sense vs AOSP

Why is it that AOSP only has 5 home screens and Sense has 7?
Depends on the launcher. You can always add or subtract with adw and salvage mod and miui are changeable as well. I use one screen on adw
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
I've always found ADW to be the best of all options. Way better than stock and Sense.

MIUI has as many screens as you want
The original aosp launcher has five and can't add anymore reason being I think they don't want the phone to get bogged down to much
sent from my HTC evolution running a freshly baked gingerbread with the 4gs in it
I've been using Go Launcher Ex and its far smoother then ADW IMO. You can add as many home screens as you want but I stick to 3

Sense Theme

Yo guys, me and my man Overstew are about to release a Sense theme for FreeGS3 v1.0. So far, we've got only the Status Bar, but it's definitely coming along great!
Now, we need to know, do you guys want Sense icons everywhere, or a lite version? Do you guys prefer a LITE (status bar, dialer, mms only) or a full version (Frameworks; including popups, Sense icons everywhere, dialer, mms, pulldown, Sense icons for all apps, etc.) or both?
Any suggestions are welcome.
~Ascer
I'd say do it a full on sense theme. As many similarities as possible. Just my opinion. Looks great so far!!

I would really love a full sense framework ui on this phone. So closer to sense it looks, the better.

I just wanted to say there are limitations. We can make things appear in the sense framework and even replicate many items 100% but things such as placement is outside of our knowledge. For example, replicating the pulldown is going to be nearly impossible but we can use the same color scheme.

if you're going for it, go for it 100% I think it's a pretty cool idea you guys / gals have.

Extinction of TouchWiz ROMs

So has development of TW ROMs stopped? Is there not any mods or tweaks left to make a unique TW ROM? I'm kind of getting bored of having the same styled ROMs because honestly all CM based ROMs are pretty much the same because of the fact that they are all CM based obviously. It was nice having TW and CM7. Then getting CM9 and CM10 and now CM10.1 but it seems that all the ROMs have the same basic settings and themes.
Avatar ROM was a little different and I liked it but not too much different since its also CM10.1 based. What I'm really looking for is a TW ROM with all the mods that they're used to be like the lockscreens and clock position in status bar and all the little things that made TW ROMs better. Do any of those even exist anymore for any phone?

You not so satisfied with The People's and Legacy? I don't use them but they still seem popular after all this time.
And why not take time to theme and mod CM ROMs yourself? Themes, lockscreen mods, launchers and widgets are scattered around for you to revamp the experience. Personally I don't like non-AOSP style, but to imitate a GS3 I downloaded a "GS3-Addon", did a bit modification to it and flashed upon a CM10 nightly, which in the end turned out to be REALLY, REALLY similar experience to the real TouchWiz 5!
Just saying, you can try similar tricks yourself, though it takes some time

Could you post a screenshot of your TW 5? I'd like to see how close you've gotten. And your right about all that but I'm honestly just missing the good old TW ROMs that had amazing battery life and many tweaks and themes and stuff. I used to theme TW ROMs and worked on a few mods and I was doing pretty good but that was last summer. Since I started college I haven't really had much free time to work on that kind of stuff.

Not SO close actually TW-specific apps are mostly missing. But apps like S Note, Super Video (floating video player on S3), TW5 launcher and widgets are all there. More I can't remember.
I'll post screenshots 2 days later as we're having tests these days and my E4G is currently on CM10.1 so I have to restore the nandroid backup.

Its cool don't worry about the screenshots.
Do you know a way to get the lockscreen on cm10.1 to be like it was on 10 and 9? I mean to have the rings with the shortcuts before the actual unlock pattern? Is there a way to change that? I wanna start working on my ROM to make it the way I actually want.

It's not there in CM10.1, I checked.

@lilajrestnom Hey I have an idea. Settings - Lockscreen - check "Maximize widgets". In this way you'll have to long press the lock icon on the bottom of the screen to bring up the lock security, which I think is just what you want. This is tested to work with "pattern" lock security.

Ya I've done that and that's the closest I can get to what I actually want. I really just wanted the real rings before the pattern lock but it seems like that's the best I can do for now thanks tho.
