[Q] Any interest in Synergy on the Dinc2 - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

I am 4 days into the Dinc2 and am enjoying it so far as I am sad to say a former DX2 owner. I have worked on HTC's before and always find Synergy Rom's in the forums. I am not seeing it here like in the Dinc forum's or Evo forum's. I am curious if anyone knows if we will see something here for Synergy or no? I liked it on the Evo but it wasn't my phone so I didn't get to play with it to long. Any heads up would be great Thanx!

I am not sure on a synergy release mainly due to the ICS releases coming out. There a lot of devs in our community so it could spark interest.
If you are a fan of synergy I recommend any of nitsujs work. Also over on mikmik newts roms are killer.

That is kind of what I was thinking was holding up some roms I am used to seeing I am running nitsujs TSM Sense M EXT4 5.0.1 with the 3.0 sense patch.
I am far from new to modding but I don't want to run right to the ICS builds just yet I want to explore all the Roms for the Dinc2. I also know I like MikMik Roms as well. Coming of the fascinate and DX2 CyanogenMod builds it's kind of fun to have more build and rom diversity to flash away like an addict haha.

Completely agree. I started with the nexus one. (More than enough Rom variations lol). To the Sony X10 with very few different rom choices. To the Inc2 where we have everything from stock to cm9 and sense 4.
Check out mikrunny, inchd 1.1 (mikmik), nits trinity (full sense 3.0), nits bullet mt4g port, and of course your aosp.
A lot of people run skyraider (teambamf) and mikrunny. Although like stated before the ICS builds are near fully functional.

Favorite Rom

I am looking on doing some reviews soon, and was wondering what some of the favorite roms are in the community. I want to know what your favorite Rom is, and if for some reason it isn't on the Incredible then list the device as well. Thanks in advance!
Some really great Roms for the incredible are
Skyraider, cyqnogenmod, Ruby, Virtuous, and Shadow rom. All these Roms are smooth and fast. I've tried all of them and my favorite is cyanogenmod but I'm running Ruby until they work out all the bugs.

Because the incredible forums are a cesspool.
OP reported.
I've tried them all except for Ruby. So far SkyRaider 2.5.2 and Virtuous are my favs and most stable for me, plus everything is working. That Desire HD ROM was great too but can't live without a working camera with my 2yr old running around.
CM6 is the best IMO
SkyRaider, Virtuous, and currently running Redemption.

Redemption rom
Redemption 2.0.3. king kernel oc-uv #5. incredible revolution theme, rosie removed. Launcher pro. Prepare for glory splash. Various boot animations.
FTW!
I can personally vouch for SkyRaider and Redemption ROM as being beyond reproach, and HeyItsLou and Ihtfp69 are both shining examples of what a dev should be, along with Cyanogen and IncredibleDoes of course. Haven't used CM or any of ID's ROMs yet but the work they do speaks for themselves and HeyItsLou and Ihtfp69 both have stellar daily drivers out! You can see what I'm currently running in my signature ^_^
sorry if this needs to be in the Q&A forum, but i thought since it was completely about android roms and opinion based, it should go under development. And i have tried most of the listed roms, gonna try redemption soon. been running desirehd port for a few days now, and its my favorite so far, but i would like cam support

I've tried them all and every one has something I really like that the others don't but I haven't been able to get away from uncommon sense since beta8. I'll flash an update from the others but that only lasts a couple of hours. The final beta title should be stable imo. It runs perfect... No reboots, fast, everything works including camera. Has a sick app drawer, modded music player... Over all, most stable, and again, still in beta.

rom community slow

Whatsup with the Rom community..it seems really slow the past month or so..I haven't seen one Rom updated except for miui?? Sorry if this has been asked already.
Warm Z got released a week or two ago, and I think MikZ 1.0 just got released today. The new Sense 2.0 is nice, but it took a little while to grow on me.

Don't mean to sound like an arse, but I'm sure the developers have "real" jobs and develop ROMS and mods as a hobby. As flashoholics, our appetites are insatiable but there are plenty of ROMS (at least for the EVO) and tweaks to feed the beast until something new comes out. Speaking of new, mik released his z port today. Take it for a spin.
That's because there's already millions of roms that are pretty much the same (especially sense) just with diff tweaks. Devs beat the dead horse and we should see more once the new sense leaks or officially hits the deck for our evo. As aosp goes have fun with cm7 I'm a sense kind of guy.

Not sure if OP is troll, or just incompetent...

First off i had hdmi(normal) and 4g when my evo released so thats nothing new. Its active but as far as SENSE goes all if not most 2.2 roms are still plagued w/ the same bugs. Most roms out there are the same just themed or diff tweaks. I agree it has been slow cause the same 2.2 base is all they have. When it comes to aosp, we all know Google/cyan takes care of biz and stays on top pushing out constant updates for their star children( nexus 1 and s). When a new sense rom pops up I'm like ehh another rom diff tweaks. The z beta builds are cool but lets see the real magic when sprint/HTC gives us 2.3 android/sense update.

What is the best software to put on DInc ?

I just discovered Rooting and putting stuff on my Incredible , and I have noticed before that I've seen new Gingerbread software come out and Ice Cream and I'm still stuck on Android 2.2 .. any suggestions ? And how would I got about doing it ?
well, there are currently no leaks at all for Ice Cream so that is out of the question. For Gingerbread i would recommend CM7 at http://www.cyanogenmod.com/ it has gingerbread and is VERY fast and stable but, does not have sense. There are many threads here about flashing roms so i don't really feel like i need to go into that but look around and i guarantee you can find one.

Well first decide if you like sense, which is basically the HTC interface of your stock ROM, or AOSP, which is the android interface the way google designed it. Then you can pick a corresponding rom. For example, SkyRaider Sense 4.0 is sense rom, and CM7 is AOSP.
SkyRaider Sense
CM7 Nightlies AOSP
As far as getting it done there are plenty of guides that can be found by searching for rooting and flashing roms. Also, most rom threads in these forums have instructions in the first post.
CyanogenMod 7 FTW!
If you decide on aosp salvage mod and evervolv are both excellent roms
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
i like skyraider and uber roms from joel.....both are nice and have sense wich is what i like. not into the asop roms since no sense
I recommend the new GB leak or gingersense remix... I'm a big sense ui fan though. AOSP definately CM7
If you want sense go for Uber Z. VERY STABLE ROM. If not, then go for CM7.
I use either Warm Z two point two or Skyraider 4.0 since both are very stable, fast, and solid battery life. I stick to warm z 90% of the time though. I like landscape. lol

CM7 Nightlies
Stable vs. Beta
There are a lot of Beta Roms running Gingerbread and various versions of HTC Sense.
CyanogenMod 7 is by far the most stable Gingerbread ROM I've see out there (although it's Vanilla so you won't see any HTC Sense going on).
The nice thing about ROMs is you can flash, flash, and flash some more.
I'll second Uber Z for Sense and CyanogenMod 7 for AOSP.
But, as Sharpe said, you can flash and flash to your heart's content. With these Sense 3.0 leaks, I've been flashing like a maniac and having a blast. And if a ROM doesn't work for me, I can just restore to my Nandroid backup and I'm back to where I started (CM7, in this case). ^.^
I'm rocking Carbonite v5. Awesome visuals, great battery life, and very fast.

[Q] Most stable rom out right now

A friend of mine has asked me to root his phone and put a custom rom on there. As I have a HTC Glacier myself, I know nothing of the roms for the HTC Evo 4g. So I decided to ask the Evo 4g community directly what they feel is the best and most stable release to date?
Imo, synergy rls1.

In all honesty, the stock ROM is the most stable. HTC worked for a long time to make sure people would not have many issues with their software. As far as something that has some eye candy, try either KingsROM Alliance "The Breed" or Kinged Shooter E3D RLS 2.3. Stock is still my personal favorite as far as stability.
If you read the boards, you can see which ROMS people are having problems with and which ones are getting the best reviews, which leaves you with one real choice: MIUI

Yea I agree the best bet is to read around and see the bug tracker on a rom that may look promising to you. Honestly stock should be your most stable. Its what I put on peoples phones after I root it for them. Less calls that way.
Decks 1.2.1 AOSP, Tiamat 4.07, GPS fix_3, is also what I put on for those wanting a change from Sense roms. All no calls for issues with that rom...
MiUi is also pretty damn good, I run that on my sons phone for him

Quite sure if you look in the development section you will find one... Or do a search in google or development
MikG Sense ROM has been stable for me and looks great if you like the Sense interface.
Assuming you want most everything to work, including bluetooth:
AOSP based with 4G: CyanogenMod 7.1 RC1
AOSP based, no 4G: MIUI
Sense based with 4G: Shooter RLS 2.3 Odex
Sense based, no 4G: NocturnalRom Beta 3
Of course this is only my opinion. That is the great thing about custom ROMs, everyone has their own taste.
Synergy RLS1 non - godmode by myn is solid

Favorite Sense ROM?

So I've tried probably 6 or so different Sense 3.5 ROMs including MikRunny, Magnolia, various TSM, and some others... I'd have to say that my favorite one is Magnolia... It is the most stable, smoothest, fastest, with the best battery life. Share your thoughts?
Use SkyRaider Zeus on teambamf.net
If battery life wasn't an issue, I would stick with TSMBullet. I am a stickler for battery life so I would use Skyraider Zeus over Bullet.

Yes skyraider is sense 3.0, and I have been checking mikmik daily for newts release but it will probably have a lot of the same issues as the other sense 4 Roms which at the moment is a deal breaker for me because I need my camera and camcorder as well as mms.

Awesome man, looking forward to it. I like to change ROMS every few weeks... lol it keeps things interesting! I'll definitely be looking forward to that man. Somewhat off-topic but do you have any idea if you can install an OC Daemon on AOSP like CM9 or AOKP?
Coredriod is my favorite sense rom, but I would have to say Skyraider is a close second.
I've been using Mikrunny for a few months now. I have no complaints about speed or battery life.
Newt is working on a Sense 4 ROM. I don't see any Sense 4 ROM being completed till HTC releases the source.
Any work that a DEV does for the community is a favorite of mine.
all of nitsuj17's work I LOVE.

team BAMF,skyraider (ihtfp69) was my first "favorite" sense ROM, back on the Inc1.

There were many DEVs from the Eris days as well. good times.
Andybones stock was/is great... I loaded it up when my wife was using my phone until she could upgrade. All the flashable mods on a stock Rom was just what she needed.
Skyraider Zeus is solid. Anything nitsuj makes I highly recommend...and he always seems to have cool new stuff and is very active in the forums.

I was happy to see some people from the Eris dev section move up to the Inc2. Maybe we all have an attraction to the little guys in Verizon's line up.
I've loaded Nit's M version of Sense and Skyraider. Both are pretty solid with everything working out of the box. I have both saved right now as nands if I feel like switching back. I personally find Nit's version a little more smoother than Skyraider but that might be do to kernel settings.
