Just an fyi. I have a staples edition archos g9 80 4gb. Bought it from a seller on eBay new for $175 and box said 4gb with 1.0 ghz.
Anyway to my pleasant surprise it had 8gb and a 4460 running at 1.2 ghz. Still 512 mb ram tho. Staples normal price is $220 which still seems pretty good if you get one like this one

Haha, Samsung seems to have sent me a non-produced 16 GB version of the Omnia 7. Can't believe how lucky I am!

Oh its seems well produced here in Germany - where every omnia owner got the 16GB version (including me )
Might be something to do with stock levels suspect a few people got a few orders from Germany due too the UK stock being poorly managed. I got mine and a mate had to wait a week+ after i got mine and we ordered only a day apart.
Count yourself lucky. I've settled my mind on the 8gb is enough for my needs. I've still got 5GB left after loading it with everything i need/want for now + more that i just don't need *cough* "itoilet finder.........."

how jammy are you? this was my ideal phone so perfect in every way but i couldn't handle only 8gb and nobody could get me a 16gb without importing and paying the full price up front I ended up with a HD7 and i love it but would still swap in in a heart beat for a 16gb omnia.
I just order the T-Mobile version off Expansys.nl (I'm in the Netherlands) and got a 16 GB one! For the price of a 8 GB one... I guess I'm pretty lucky!

Mine just came in mail today from Newegg. Works Great. Transfer speeds are way faster than the Samsung 16gb micro sd that came with the OG Epic 4g.... After format it shows 29.42GB space available. Now have my entire music collection on the device. Time to grab a car mount to Bluetooth it to the car and the subs. Thanks again for the original Poster.

that is not a better deal. that one u pointed out is 28.41 out the door and the one from newegg was only 16 dollars or 15 dollars if u didnt have to pay tax. i know the one you pointed out was a class 10 but i think a class 6 is perfect for that price we all paid

Personally No.
Although If i lived somewhere that the 3g worked (France) i probably would. Although right now being a US resident I don't think i will. My Archos G9 101 Turbo was the first tablet i ever purchased (although sadly I received 2 united DOA, The Original purchase shipment then the same with the replacement. The third was the charm and it still works great.
Since i have upgraded to the Asus Transformer as my daily use tablet.
In all, at least IMO, in the US Archos are good budget tablets but many other company's offer comparable tablets sometimes with a lower price (Hence the fact it supports 3g and is not locked to a carrier is a large reason to buy one but since the service is not available, or i have not four or heard of a way to do it,) Also i purchased my Tablet like a month or two after it was released it was a good tablet one of the few with ICS at the time and cost me much more than they are selling them now. I actually have seen them being sold with a price tag of over $100 less than i paid for mine.
Although if Archos partnered with us carriers or somehow opened it up to work with the us network in general then i might consider as my mobile provider only charges $5 a month extra to the plan i have to add a data device and i would be all over that as currently I Tether with my mobile phone.
So the long is Maybe the short is NO
I'm going to get one. Since my 80g9 is working good under serdu's watch full eye, I would go for the 10" gen10. Even to the 8 inch tablet is the ideal size.

I have had a Gen 8 device since Nov. 2010. I've had quite a number of problems with the device over that time, all software related.
Unfortunately Archos is not very good at writing code.
I will not buy a Gen 10 device, I will instead soon purchase the 32 gig Nexus 7 or the Nexus 10 depending if it is released on Oct. 29th.
Unlikely, I have had an Archos 70 internet tablet, an 80 G9 and an 80 G9 turbo. To be honest while I have had good dealings with rma for faulty original G9 screen, the hardware is badly assembled. So next up will likely be a Samsung. As both my galaxy phones have been fault free.

I guess the special unibody variant with 8GB RAM in balck or white is not yet released by xiaomi?

That is the best price now, after I used a coupon my reseller disabled it. I managed to snag one for $565 but that deal no longer works. Since you posted that link, stock was decreased by about 25 phones. Good sign, since it means these units are selling internationally, custom ROM activity looks promising.
Geekbuying said they estimated mid October before the 6GB 64GB would ship and it was significantly more. I tried to cancel my pre-order there 2 days ago and they haven't been responding
