Voicemail notification - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

How do I take it of.net ics ROM?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2

Call your voicemail and go through the menu to leave a message to your number. Hang up, press the voicemail notification again to call and now you'll have a message. Press 7 to delete and you're done.

I didn't have any messages on Tmo voicemail since I use Google voice. Press the message to call voicemail. Press 1 to send a message. Walk through sending a message to your mobile number. Once verified as sent, hang up. Call voicemail again and you will actually have a message. Listen to it and press 7 to delete. Icon should go away.

I am going to try this right now. I use google voice also and I have yet to find a way to get that voicemail icon out of the status bar. Hopefully this method will work. Thanks for the info,

I have to press 1 to accept a call?

I'm using the latest aokp ROM and every time I get a call, I swipe to the right to accept it but then I get a prompt sing press 1 to accept or press 2 to send to voice mail. How the hell do I get rid of the prompt and go straight to accepting the call. If I wanted it to go to voice mail I would just reject the call in the first place

It sounds like google voice. Go to your settings on your pc and disable it.

This. Go to http://google.com/voice and disable Sprint cell phone number integration.

I get text messages every time I have a voicemail?

Hi, this just started happening 2 days ago after I flashed the MIUI ROM. Everytime I get a voicemail, instead of the icon appearing in the status bar, I get a text message prompting me to call my voicemail. Is there anyway to turn this off?
I get that too. Between 2 and 5 messages per voicemail. Really friggin annoying.
My configuration is in my signature.
Text "block 9016" to 9999
That should fix it

The problem of no voicemail indicator remains.
Thanks! I do wonder if it was rom related. I'm running Rubix right now without issue.

That is part of the 'phantom voicemail' bug that is present in many AOSP ROMs. There has been a commit to the CM repos that should clear up that bug, but the newest iterations of MIUI have to be based on a CM ROM that has the big fix implemented for the 'phantom voicemails' to disappear.

What's your setup? If you integrate GV then the voicemails will come through on that. You won't get a voicemail notification via the system but rather through the GV app.

Text Messages in Call Log

I'm on rooted new ota. Ever since the update my text messages are showing in call log. When I select the view by option and change it to all calls it works for a while and then reverts back to showing text messages as well. I've searched but haven't found any solution. Is the a mod or other answer. Also, how do you kill the action where the screen turns on when receiving a text?
Have you try using go SMS? There is an option for the screen turning on and it won't appear in you call log I think

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm really looking for a mod rather than using a 3rd party app.

In call question

Hey guys,
When im on a call and I back out of the dialer to either look for info on an email or surf the Web for info it seem my phone auto mutes the call cause the other person can't hear me till I get back to the dialer. Any way I can disable this?

Try hitting the home key instead of backing out of the dialer. That works for me without muting the call. You can get back to the dialer from the pull down shade.
Ok ill try that out,
