Idk.. whats a steam kang build 30?
Do not ask questions in the development forum unless its inside the specific thread for the ROM you're inquiring about.
Come on, sorry for the typo. I was just curious if I'm on Build 30 of the "TEAM" kang rom and want to update to a newer build do I have to wipe everything and flash the whole new build, such as 32? Or can I just flash over the top of my existing rom with no wipe.

What he said. Best place to look would be AOKP development thread.

id be appriciated if anyone sends me a link
As far as I know the GSM version is still on 4.0.2, at least mine is. 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 are both for the CDMA version.

u should be wrong , ive seen many roms in developments page but none of them were stock rom
Officially, 4.0.2 is the latest version. Unofficially, there are ROMs with 4.0.3 and 4.0.4.
A 4.0.3 stock from can be built from source code. See the guide. But its not an official Google build as it has not been release officially.

Without open a new topic, can I flash with "ClockWorkMod" or stock recovery the factory images?
If not, do I have to use "Root toolkit"?
Thanks.

Stop bumping an older-than-dirt thread.
Good advice
Awesome job on the ROM as always! Sucessfully flashed the ROM and the latest modem bin.
Only question: on the first post of the CleanGB thread, there is a link to the CleanGB kernel (in addition to full version). Do I need to flash that as well?

No the kernel is included in the rom for Clean GB. Next time post within the Clean GB thread and ask. Also seems like maybe your new to this so be very careful! You may always send me a message if you have question about your phone. I'd rather help people before they mess up there phone than after it becomes a paperweight

Unfortunately, I don't have the privs to post in the Epic4G Android Development forum where I could have asked directly on the thread. Hence, the reason I asked here instead.

jn, dont' worry , it's cool... travis might have forgotten thats what the q/a thread is for. it takes sometime to learn your way around here.
The kernel in the full version of the latest CleanGB ROM shows a different version number than the link to the kernel only flash file.
That was the other thing that prompted my question.

if there was a device profile for you guys id compile nightlies for ya, however im not gunna take each nightly and edit it after compiling for use with us cellular, sorry i dont have that kind of time. if you had a device profile like this https://github.com/EpicCM/android_device_samsung_epic4gtouch then i could merge it in and add it to my build script, would take it maybe 20 mins extra to make it :/
my suggestion is to get a modified device repo going and then you could have a from source build
Downloading 6/19... so I just flash this straight over 6/18 from recovery? Should I wipe everything beforehand????
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Looks like the nightly is done uploading. ~35 downloads while the md5 was still changing (good half a dozen were mine) ;-)
Sorry if I ask this....might be common knowledge, oh well. I'm on 6-18 nightly atm, if I want to update to 6-19 (I'm already using goo.im from the play store, and already dl the rom) can I just use the included safe CW from 6-18 to flash? If so, After flashing do I need to do anything else? Thanks again for the help..

I have some what of an understanding after reading up on it ... I am just trying to understand how one works with a rom? or the correct one for a rom?
+1 on read the op and you should be fine.
You need to know if your ROM is ics/jellybean and if its aosp based or stock based.
Always make a backup before flashing something just to be safe.

Head over to the development and original development sections to find some kernels. To know whether it is compatible with your phone and ROM, read the opening post thoroughly and do research. All of your questions are common and answers are out there when you search. Reading is the best thing you can do for yourself here on XDA.

So, as some of you may know, I sold my S2 T989 and upgraded to the Nexus 4. That's why I have to rely on testers to test my ROM's. Some people have been asking me to try porting RootBox, and voila! I ported it! The problem is that I can't test it myself so I need some people who would like to test. I promise it won't brick anyone.
This thread will also be a discussion thread for the port. If you need help flashing it or something else related to this port, just ask and I'll try to help . I'll also update this thread often with updates on how the port's going.
Just leave a comment down below and/or shoot me a PM if you try this and see if it boots, runs well, etc.
