Hi my friends ,
ive been looking at stock rom 4.0.3 for gsm but couldnt find it ?
id be appriciated if anyone sends me a link
As far as I know the GSM version is still on 4.0.2, at least mine is. 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 are both for the CDMA version.

u should be wrong , ive seen many roms in developments page but none of them were stock rom
Officially, 4.0.2 is the latest version. Unofficially, there are ROMs with 4.0.3 and 4.0.4.
A 4.0.3 stock from can be built from source code. See the guide. But its not an official Google build as it has not been release officially.

Without open a new topic, can I flash with "ClockWorkMod" or stock recovery the factory images?
If not, do I have to use "Root toolkit"?
Thanks.
Bye!

bad advice!
Search for it, what you seek is asked multiple times. Both in general section and q/a

You just flash back to stock rom to get the updates. But the point is once rooted your rom of choice will be updated probably faster than the Google update gets pushed to your phone.
^ This!!!
And why have a galaxy nexus if you want to go back to stock for ota? Its a development device....use the roms the devs release for it...lol.
Do I understand this correctly? Clockwork mod recovery with stock ICS will not give OTA updates from Google???

Yes...although im not sure why this concerns anybody. As fast as development is moving on this device, the devs will have updates out as fast or faster than google releases them via ota.

The problem with roms is that it's not 100% stable. I came from htc dinc, i havent seen any stable rom for it.

^Made me laugh.
You can flash the official roms from google with cwm. This way you have your updates faster.
But I should choose a developer rom they have awsome features.

Hii everyone,
I had a couple of questions with regards to OTA google updates for android. For one thing, is I updated my Galaxy nexus GSM phone manually using MULTIPLE sources with hopes of the OTA update and I keep refreshing the update and it says no updates available. So now I decided to do it manually again, and I keep reading about having to put everything back to normal in-order for the update to work.
Can someone please enlighten me on how I can turn back the clock and put the stock radio and bootloader, so I can manually update to 4.0.4. Also how I can save my current phone setting, as far as widgets, contacts and ringtones are concerned, so I can have them back when I update.
Or should I just not bother with anything and that the OTA will eventually arrive?
The ota leak 4.0.4 is for the LTE version (Verizon only) not for the GSM
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Omg please read before you brick your phone. The leaked 4.0.4 OTA is for the CDMA version and cannot be applied to the GSM model!

THANKS GUYS!!!
But look in the Dev section, there is a ROM from MoDaCo... it is a built from the 4.0.4 leak... but for GSM nexus works great...

Though it doesn't include all of 4.0.4, just the parts that are applicable to both machines. If you're on GSM I think its one of the only ways to go right now.

Ok, can someone explain to me what needs to be done for me to get the OTA update? So all i have to do is, go to setting, system update and download 4.04. I have GSM galaxy nexus, running 4.02, kernel 3.0.8 and built number ICL53F.
Thank you.

u have just to wait..the ota can require some days/couple of weeks to reach every device in the world..be patient
u can also install it manually, but is not so easy for u i though..there are some guides around in this forum
Admin Please Delete the thread.
Sorry if I'm posting in wrong section.
Today I successfully installed Leaked OTA ICS update IMM26 on my NS4G. It's great but to my disappointment Flash based apps are not working properly. Some Flash based apps are working fine (e.g. Veetle) but many others, especially browsers, are not handling it well at all. The reason perhaps is that many apps haven't yet been optimized for ICS. I'm addicted to all these apps.
Please tell me if there is a way to downgrade to Stock Gingerbread.
NOTE: I have unlocked bootloader but unsuccessful in getting root because SU works up to 4.0.3 only.
Thanks everyone.

This belongs in questions and answers.
But there's a one click (not really one) restore to stock in this forum. I believe its using Odin.
Just look thru the threads and you'll find the instructions.

not sure why you thought this was development...
But yes you can... Just wipe (everything) then install a gb rom. That is if you just did a cwm install of ics.

Hoi en welkom ;-)
I guess you just have to be patient. The update is rolled out in batches. Not all at once. Or you can flash it yourself. There are a lot of threads here on how to do that.

I hope you are being sarcastic.
All the files come directly from Google, not hosted by someone else.

So unless Google or you do something to them, no one else surely would have.
And besides, the 4.0.4 update is not available yet for yakjuxw (the OP's build), only the full image.

You don't have to switch to yakju before you can root and/or flash a custom ROM.
