I searched the forum, but I didn't find a tutorial like this, if it exists feel free to delete this topic and also feel free to move it.
In this tutorial I will show you how to download the latests stock firmware for your phone directly from the servers Kies. If running on Windows XP requires a minimum. NET Framework 2.0. On Windows Vista and Windows 7. NET Framework comes pre-installed.
Download and open Check Fus Downloader.
1) Select you OS
2) Select your phone model
3) Select your region and also your operator ( if any )
4) Go to "Check Firmware" and wait until you see the box below information like:
Code:
Product Code: GT-I5700UWAFOPLatest firmware: I5700XXJD2/I5700FOPJE6/I5700XXJC1/I5700XXJD2
Modified: 05.07.2010 18:10:03
Filename: GT-I5700_I5700XXJD2_I5700FOPJE6_I5700XXJC1_I5700XXJD2_XX_FOP.zip.enc2
5)It remains only to click on "Download", select the desired download location and wait until all the processes (download, crc check, Decrypt) is completed successfully.
6) Now unzip and flash the result of decryption firmware using Odin.
PS: This is not my tutorial, I found it on a Romanian forum and only translate it.
Enjoy!
Is it possible to download non-android or bada firmware with this? If not, are there other programs that can do this? I'm looking for firmware for the GT-B3310

Hi all,
just having some problems flashing my tab 10.1 3 p5220.
Kies is refusing to do it as I suspect it is because the rom in it is
currently a german one.
Now, how do I intercept the rom file after kies has downloaded it but
before it attempts to install it and fails?
I seem to remember being able to do this on the htc and assume
we can do the same with the samsung. This way I hope I can I
reflash it via odin.
Many thanks in advance,
Andrew
Just download a firmware from sammobile and flash through odin

Not sure if you've managed it now?
Anyway here is how you do it, also may be useful for others too, I've done this in the past, although I was doing an emergency recovery instead of an upgrade, this works either way.
I take absolutely no credit for this:
Here is a guide to save the firmware during your kies update,so u can save that firmware for future use .i just copy paste this from some where else
1. On your pc, windows explorer, check the option "Show hidden files, folders, and drivers".
2. Now connect your phone to pc via kies to begin the firmware upgrade.
3. Kies will begin to download the firmware files...
a. The files will be saved under a tmp file called "tmp****.tmp"
(NB: **** can be any letters or numbers, e.g. In my two times of upgrade via kies,
first timethe tmp files was "tmpA4CE.tmp", and on the second it was "tmpD900.tmp"
b. In Windows 7, this tmp file is located at, C:\Users\*\AppData\Local\Temp
(NB: * is the pc user session name, e.g. C:\Users\Spacks\AppData\Local\Temp)
4. When download is complete, kies decompresses this tmp file into a folder called
"tmp****.tmp.zipfolder" and begins the firmware upgrading process.
a. The folder has same name as the tmp file but now with an extention of .zipfolder.
(So scroll through the folders in the same directory to locate it).
b. When kies begins the upgrade process starting from 1% until it reaches 100%,
quickly copy the "tmp****.tmp.zipfolder" to your desktop.
You have about 2 to 3 minutes to do this. Kies will delete the folder once upgrade is 100% (completed).
5. The "tmp****.tmp.zipfolder" contains all the firmware files kies has used to upgrade your phone.
Now you have a backup of official firmware from kies. This is also useful in case kies fails to complete the upgrade process.

Thanks
In addition, the ROM has a bug, when the input *1973461# into the System info menu, will be black screen, no display, the touch failed.

and add translated strings.
it cannot system.img write directly. because latest system.img not opened.

Hi,
I tried to update using the A2.rar file. This file seems to be password protected. 55933 seems to work here.
--
With the system image, at first I wondered how to flash this. After unpacking the file and following the instructions given in the above mentioned guide (https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho....php?t=3673945) it worked fine.
Using qfil I selected flat build, found the *firehose* file in the extracted directory and also the xml files (rawprogramm and patch) you have to select. Starting qfil phone was recognized as Hisense... at COM12 during the process it changed to Qualcomm... at COM13. I did not use adb commands (this did not work for me). For me qfil put the phone automatically in download mode.
Up to now all works fine. Menus are in english, some might be in chinese. Gapps, gmail and my old apps installed ok.
Thanks again to joygram
Password for archive is wrong?
@baistan the a2 file for the general system upgrade to 6.09.03 is hosted at a baidu site. You need the pw given by joygram to enter his baidu account. Then you have to install a baidu download client, because the file is 1.48 GB. The file itsself is a .rar archive, which is password protected. I googled the file and found a chinese hisense fans forum. Here a file with the same name was posted. pw was given with 55933
So you need two passwords.
The new rom is only chinese / english and has no gapps.
Joygrams system.img installed fine. GoogleApps workt about two days for me, now it crashed and does not start any more, maybe because of a playstore update. This seems to be common. Maybe this issue can be solved.
Here a google drive linke to the file (makes it easier) https://drive.google.com/open?id=11anmiy8FEQNbVzu9kbS72WKFr-zmHope
Have not got playstore to run again,
flashed the A2 rom again
and use f-droid; uptodown and/or yalp store to install apps.
Thank you
Do you think it is possible to install " 7.0 or CYANOGEN MULTILINGUE " with the support of the " E-INK " screen?
That I cann not tell you. I am no developer, sadly.
I do not know if anyone got TWRP running on this phone. I know, that it is possible to customize TWRP, there are examples on youtube, but I do not know if I am able to do it.
For me it would be interesting to flash gapps. I don´t know if you can do this using qpst.
I hope there is some development for this phone in the future.

the ROM "JOYGRAM" is in English and Chinese!
By against the Playstore works very well you do not turn off your phone!
from the moment you turned off your phone the factory "Google Play Services" !!
Ducout you must be very careful never to crash and do not repel if the application that works with "Google Play Services" (youtube, play store, gmail, etc ...) no longer works!
we are unable to delete the account [email protected] and "conscious"
I think he should root the phone and add Google Play Service and Play Store!
but I do not know how to sit for root on HISENSE!
I would like to find a charitable soul who could help me carry a Rom Stock 6.0 from Google and add on Driver and E-Ink!
or take the ROM of the HISENSE A2PRO 7.0 Nougat and change it for the Hisense A2 because unless I'm wrong there is not much difference between the 2 phones!
PS: "JOYGRAM" recommend this for translation: you may want to set the language in Japan, French etc ...
this language in the Vision-Setting.apk
I tried to edit this file.
but the system does not start, so I stopped.
but some can stay.
1. Copy Vision-Setting.apk to pc
Use decompile with apktool
3. add a new language in the res and translate the language
4. repack the copy in system.img
I wrote system.img with the Linux system mount in the virtual machine.
I can not do perfact system.img because there is no last system.img.

think you can put on google the other version available on fans.hisense because being in France it is impossible for me to download the possible version available on fans.hisense !
because to answer and to Download on Fans.hisense it is necessary to register with a number of Chinese telephone and it is the same for Baidu !

Hello
Yesterday I tried (Xperia XZ2 Compact H8324) to flash on the new Android 9.
My device was built in Hong Kong.
I went like this:
First I downloaded the current German Android 9 Stock Rome via Xperifirm. H8324_Customized DE_1313-6204_52.0.A.3.84_R2B
Before the flash, I created the * .ftf file in flash tool 0.9.25.0, as shown in a Youtube video. The whole thing worked fine.
Then I put my device into Flash mode and integrated the latest drivers into my PC.
Before I could start the flash process, I had to move the *. Fsc script from the folder "devices \ H83XX" in the folder "my devices" and rename in the current firmware. Since he gave me the message when starting the flash process that no update script would be available.
Then the flash process started asking if he should skip certain things stored in the script. Of course I confirmed that.
The flash process ran without any further error message and ended with the message that the flash was successful.
However, after starting the Xperia, the message "Your device is corrupted - it can not be trusted" was displayed. The device shuts down after 5 seconds.
Fortunately, I was able to recover my original firmware through the PC Companion.
Can someone tell me where I might have made a mistake on the way and how can I fix this? I would like to have Android 9, but that has not arrived in Hong Kong yet.
This is my first tutorial, hope you enjoy it and take you further.
Thank you first to juandiazmora
So you get Android 9 on your smartphone without any regional restrictions.
The following programs are required: Xperifirm, flashtool 0.9.25.0
1. Download the Rome at Xperifirm which is compatible with your device and you want it. For me, the firmware was unpacked directly by Xperifirm otherwise uses Flashtool Tools> Bundles> FILESET Decrypt
!!! Important with the downloaded files the "fwinfo.xml delete" !!!
2. In the Flash tool go to Tools> Bundles> Create
2.1 There you choose the folder in which the firmware is located.
2.2 Then select your device at Device.
2.3 When branding enter your country version. In my case Germany.
2.4 In version your firmware version you want to install.
2.5 Now important and careful. With folders list you add all files except * .ta files to the firmware content.
2.6 Then click Create and wait.
3. Adapt Flashtool. Go to the folders "Users" \ flashTool \ devices \ H82XX and the
"User". \ Flash tool \ devices \ H83XX
3.1 Copies the 52.fsc from the H82XX to the H83XX
Deletes the 51.1.fsc
3.2 Then copy the complete folder H83XX into the folder "User" \. FlashTool \ mydevices
4. Connect the mobile phone in Flash mode to the PC. Do not forget to install the appropriate driver. Flashtool also provides drivers and Xperia Companion.
4.1 If everything is ready then go to step 5.
*
5. Flashing
5.1 Click on the flash symbol in the flash tool.
5.2 Select flash mode
5.3 For Source folder, select the folder with the previously created firmware file in * .ftf.
5.4 Select Device for Device Filter.
5.5 At Firmwares, select your created firmware.
5.6 For Wipe Sin, select APPSLOG / USERDATA
5.7 Select Disable final verification.
5.8 Flash
6. When flashing, he asks if he should use the 52.fsc.
Simply confirm everything then works well.
For me it all worked out but of course I take no guarantees. Everything at your own risk.
Double that. I havent flashed pie too, requesting a little guide how to do it properly to have full stock firmware.
I think you should use a fsc for 52 firmware, not just remane the 51.1. On github page is available the data for create that specific file. Also you can use xperifirm to download the firmware easily and safely

Hi, I need help on the flashscript thingie.
Don't have a clue where to get it from.
Thanks in advance.
I'm with Customized CE1 in my H8314 and I'm still in Oreo. It would be possible do this steps with my same firmware without doing wipe? Only deleting the country restricion.
Regards
Why can't we just flash using the downloaded and unpacked firmware from Xperiafirm? Why this need to exclude some specific .ta files and disable final verification checks?

@Quarzkopf I know this thread is a bit old but I ran into similar "Your device is corrupted..." error when trying to flash US customization to my UK Xperia 1 ii. I was wondering how you got resolved this to a clean flash without this error at the end? Wasn't clear from instructions. Much appreciate your help
I tried to look in the forum but I could not find a guide to revert my Nokia 6.1 2018 to factory ROM and settings all around. Can anyone please help me, either by listing the steps or pointing me to a guide to do that? Hopefully also links to stock official roms I can download.
Eventually, I have a stock device I can extract the ROM from, how can I do that?
I found some random webpages online but I fear they are not good sources to download firmwares from.
Here's the android oreo stock firmware download link:

Tool to flash this stock firmware :
NFT v2.0.8 - Nokia Flashtool
MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.
www.mediafire.com
Select flash phone option in that tool menu in the top right corner, then select "SD660 based device option, then browse to the extracted firmware folder location and select the folder,..connect your nokia 6.1 to your pc (with adb enabled and usb debugging enabled in developer option)...and click " check phone)...your phone'll be rebooted to bootloader...then click "Flash" and then wait for some time till your phone get flashed to oreo.......good luck
I using my Poco F3 since a few month with lineageOS and I'm quite happy. The only problem: Wify and mobile data. Most of the time there is an exclamation mark in the topline on the icons for wify and mobile data.
I tried all the normal stuff:
– reboot the mobile phone (which sometimes really works)
– reboot thr router
– check the settings
– swap the sim cards (because sometimes I was only able to call somebody with one of the sim cards
With the last update of lineageOS it seems that the sim cards work again properly for calls, but not for mobile data.
Despite the exclamation marks surfing und emails works fine. I just can't synchronise my calendar via DAVdroid.
Any hint is appreciated.
are you using the recommended firmware version?
i had some issues with sounds with newer firmware versions
Good question.
I didn't change the firmware. How can I check, which version is runing on my device?
Idk how you'd check the firmware version but you could install the latest firmware for your region regardless.
Or if LineageOS recommends a specific FW version, install that instead.
Xiaomifirmware.com is one place where you can find official MIUI ROM versions and Firmware (/vendor).
You can just install it in Recovery, install itself takes a couple of seconds since Firmware is around 100 MB.
Isn't there an official site to download the firmware?

xiaomifirmwareupdater.com is a reputable source for official Xiaomi FW and ROMs.
Xiaomi do have a website where you can DL ROMs but it's bad.
Perfect, thx a lot. I will try,if it works. Keep fingers crossed ;-D
Sorry, I don't get any further. I only find complete Roms with 3.1 GB and more. But not a vendor with the code POCO F3 Global - V13.0.3.0.SKHMIXM as mentioned on the website of Lineageos.org (https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/alioth/fw_update). Even the direct link downloads a complete Rom.
And can I install the vendor with my linux computer or should I switch windows and the mi-tool as mentioned on some websites?
Thanks for your help.
Okay, I'm a little bit further. As far as I understood it. I download the whole Rom but install just a few parts via adb. Following the instructions here: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/alioth/fw_update
I should install the payload-dumper-go to unpack the zip-file of the ROM. But I don't know how to start the programm
I downloaded it from github for Linux, but I don't know how to get any further.

You're right. I checked out that website and those links are indeed full Recovery MIUI ROMs, not just firmware.
Those instructions show you how to manually flash just the firmware from a ROM.zip
However, you don't need to do that. Here is a link to just the firmware for that exact ROM:
Xiaomi Firmware Updater
The ultimate script that provides firmware packages for Xiaomi devices.
xiaomifirmwareupdater.com
v13.0.3 seems rather old to me, but if it's their recommendation, then I guess go ahead. After all you simply want these problems to go away.
How to flash:
Simply boot into Recovery and do ADB Sideload
"adb sideload firmware.zip"
If you want to use the Payload Dumper anyway:
In your Linux Machine, open the Payload Dumper folder,
right-click an empty space in the folder, click "Open in Terminal",
type "payload-dumper-go -o . " and drag & drop the MIUI_ROM.zip into the Terminal (this will autofill the path to that ROM),
Hit Enter.
Then, open the created folder where all the extracted partition-images are. Open that folder in Terminal, and do the fastboot commands listed on the LineageOS-website that you linked to me.
Great thanks a lot for your help. New stuff to learn – that's great.
Unfortunately I figured out that the reason for the problems could be a wrong setting in my AFWall+. I will double check that and if it's not the reason, I will follow your instructions. Thanks a lot for your work – awesome.
