Hi guys.
Firstly, is there any way to set a photo as your wallpaper without it trying to force you to crop it so very zoomed in?
Secondly, on my old sensation when I pressed the make more space button in settings, I had an option to clear cache... But now the one x make more space button is completely different.. How can I clear cache in there?
Lastly, I don't know if this applies to many people, but I use swype keyboard and sometimes it sorta shrinks and jumps to the left all small but still functional. Anyone else have this?

Is there some way to re-arrange my home screens?
I am running a rooted, stock Sprint Sense ROM. The last time I flashed a ROM, I did not know how to back-up my home screens (still don't), and slowly re-built them. I couldn't remember exactly how I had them set up before. Now, I pretty much have what I want, but I don't like the order they are in.
Is there an app or trick that would let me re-arrange them? What about backing them up and restoring after a ROM flash?
Umm, you just long press each app shortcut or widget. Then you can delete it or move it. If you want to add something to a blank space, long press the blank space. Android 101...
I think he is referring to rearranging his home screens as a whole so that he doesnt have to individually move each shortcut/widget.
Unfortunately, I haven't used Sense in almost a year. So I am not much help in this area.
Mikg does this...

Press the home screen so that you see all the home screens. Then select one and HOLD. Then drag it and it'll rearrange.

No, I tried that. They dont move. At least not with HTC Sense.

I know the 3.0 Ports will do this...don't thing the 1.0 does though, sorry.
i think with some of the home replacement apps like adw or go launcher you can do it as well
Hi guys,
I've just got my hand on the HTC One X.
I had been using the Galaxy S2 with ICS and one of the ICS features I liked was the Swipe Right to call a contact or left to send a message.
With my new HTC when I go into contacts or "people" as htc like to call it and swipe left or right nothing happens I have to give it an olf fashioned couple of prods to call.
Is this me missing something, a feature htc thought it would take out of ICS or is it a fault?
All help and comments appreciated.
You could try exDialer from market.
that is a fantastic dialer and also supports swipe contacts to dual or SMS

That is no ICS feature... but just touchwizz interface. It's the only good thing it does...

That feature is Touchwiz only.

Why would you even need that if you just
tap the "phone",
type two letters of your contacts name,
press on it
and choose between options
Thanks for your replies! Didn't realise it was touchwiz thought it was ics. Silly me but maybe sense should knick the idea as it was really good.
Hi,
I'm not sure if this is something really silly and simple that I'm somehow missing, but I'm unable to change the default home screen on the HTC One X. Is this not supported on the stock ROM without installing a 3rd party launcher? I'd really like to be able to change the default homescreen. When I say default, I mean the one the stock launcher takes you to upon pressing home.
I've tried looking all over but haven't found much. I'm guessing the feature exists because when I zoom out of my homescreen, one of the homescreens has a home icon on it, but I don't know how to change it to some other screen.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
have you tried to get all the homescreens on the screen together and just press the one you want and move it around? what i mean you get all 7 of the homescreens together. if you press on one you can move it in the order you want..so you have the homescreen the main one in the middle the one with the home icon well you can move it to the top and that will be like page 1 starting from left to right.. hope that helps

I understand what you are saying but I think you are misunderstanding his question
if I have 7 screens and say for instance I want to make screen 6 the home screen how does one do that (so that when you press the home button it will go to screen 6 and not to the middle screen [current home icon])
I have searched for this feature as well to no avail
Move all the features that are on screen 6 to screen 1. Duh. You're thinking in reverse. Think forward. Best o luck to ya.

I think you got it backwards that is alot of PT simple put how do you make another screen the home screen
it was simple with my Moto Milestone you just selected "make this the home screen"
I am thinking this is a limitation in Sense 4.0
not a biggy, but fundamentals are missing
Solution?
I might have a solution. I accidentally changed my home screen so everytime I pushed the Home button on the bottom it went to the wrong screen. The way I fixed mine was doing a restart from the screen I wanted to be the home screen. Once the reboot was complete, my home screen was set correctly.
/update Nope, somehow it randomly got changed again, tried what I thought fixed it above, doesn't work. This is stupid, obviously there is a way to change it, shouldnt be this difficult. I have exactly 9 days to return this phone, I am considering it with all the issues I've had.
I just saw on the SGS3 review that the home screen can be changed easily….
Each screen as an icon on it when in fan view. One is designated as home, to change, just click the icon on the screen you want to be home. Whatever tiles/widgets/apps are on that screen, its still home.
With the One X, you can have any of the 7 screens as home but the tiles/widgets/apps move with the home page (by dragging the home screen around and changing its order)
The only way to do it would change home screen and then manually change all the icons/widgets after
Steve
I'm having this strange problem with my one x where widgets are sometimes too Easily moved when I'm just swiping between screens. Especially if I try to swipe between screens fast.
Is this normal??
On sense 3.6 I could swipe really fast & widgets were never accidentally moved.
If someone can test there one x & post back that would be great.
Another test is go into the app drawer - swipe left & right couple of times - come out of app drawer & swipe between home screens, this sometimes causes widgets to move on my phone.
Same problem
Any word on how to fix this, it gets really annoying sometimes if theres room on the next home screen you end up accidently moving icons/widgets between screens.
@Jan has a tweak in his viper rom where you can lock/unlock the homescreens to stop this kind of thing happening, maybe baadnewz can add something like that into ur insertcoin rom (if u ask him nicely.. hehe)
All I can say is that this is not normal >.> All I could help
This evening when I unlocked (as in, from the lock screen) my Verizon HTC One M8 it appeared that the Sense home screen was stuck between two panels. Icons and widgets were half way off the left side of the screen. I tried to move them over but it kept putting them back to the left. I swiped through my panels and all of them are like that. I tried to remove widgets/icons/panels but nothing has helped. I've also shutdown and rebooted to no avail. It seems like the panels have gone from being tall rectangles to squares. It's making my home screen impossible to use. Has anyone else ever had this problem?
Version: 1.12.605.11, s-off, rooted, TWRP, stock (only a few frozen bloatware). All of the modifications were made shortly after s-off was released, no changes made since then.
I have some screenshots that I'll post shortly.
Thanks.

You could restore to the backup you made before doing any changes? Sounds like you froze the wrong thing. You could try unfreezing. If you have no backup you can download one or flash a Rom. All the high end roms work on all m8 variants.

Have you tried deleting them and replacing them?
EDIT: nevermind missed that in the OP. Try deleting the homescreen they're supposed to be placed on?

Thanks for the replies.
After trying a bunch of things, changing the font size seems to have reset everything to normal. A very odd bug, almost as if Sense was stuck in landscape mode while the display was portrait.
