Is it possible for someone to make the face effects in the video recording settings work in the camera

Yup. Use the screen shot function.....lol. that's what I've been doing. Get the video setup up with the desired affect and don't record. Just take a screen shot

Well that's a nice work around but it would be cool if they were coded in the camera settings

Well there is too. While recording, tap the screen and it will take a very low Res pic

Ive been hearing a lot about camera mods and was wondering if there was one that would work with my phone.
Do you have an Epic? What kind of camera mod are you looking for?

Well i didnt know there was more than one...I just thought there was one that would improve quality of audio and video, maybe pics ? And yes i have the Epic 4g.
I don't believe there is. Only mod I know of disables the shutter sound for the camera.

I'm not sure, but the last time I tried to use an SGSII Camera app on the Epic , the shutter button would glitch it out.

What app is this? I ran a search but can't find it.
Oops, left out a letter HDR Camera, sorry. It seems to take 2 or 3 quick shots and merges the pixels for an awesome HD picture.

Yup I use this app to. It takes one I believe saturated picture one less saturated and on with no edits and combines them, the only thing is that camera shutter noise!

both of these are standard in CM9 nightlies.
There are also mods around to increase the quality of HD video recording (skankwich) and to disable the shutter sounds (GN toolkit).
Hope this hasn't been asked is there an apk like the one x that takes pictures from a playing video. Thanks

The stock GS3 camera app will allow you to take a photo while recording video, as long as video stabilization isn't on. A small camera icon should appear on the right side of the screen while recording. You can turn stabilization off somewhere within the camera settings.
I think they mean while playing back a video

Does anyone know if you can disable the camera shutter sound?
my HTC phone can do this but my note can't.
This is pretty annoying when taking pictures during a conference.

Doesn't look like they included the option in the camera settings but you can silence the notification sound on the tablet before you open the camera app and it won't make the shutter sound

Hmm, silencing all the volume sliders doesn't seem to have an effect on the camera sound. I ended up using my phone for taking pictures and adding them to my notes later.
