This is my first post! I love the forum and all the goodies I have received. I apologize if I am breaking rules ( I used to run a forum and rule breaking would grind my gears as well) but I am running CM9A2 which I love and was running an AOKP rom which had the Nexus ICS on screen buttons and was wondering if A3 would contain this option? I have searched to no prevail on any way to make it happen with my current setup. If there is anyway to make it happen with this rom please let me know! I apologize and hope to not get torched if I broke any rules (besides searching first but found nothing to help) and look forward to many more posts and contributions!

AFAIK there is no way to get the buttons on CM9. Just flash the AOKP rom if you want them
You could try this

I appreciate the quick responses! I knew that thread existed but cod not find it to save my life. Much love from the forums always! I will try this out when I have free time during the hockey game later! Thanks again and Go Wings!

I think that is a framework mod not a widget.
Well currently doing the modifications to the cm9 framework seems to enable some sort of tablet notifications which is why my notification bar got bigger, even though I had not touch any other xml settings. Also settings screen ui changes to that of a tablet instead.
I can do the edits, but I cant get the framework to compile right. I have been able to edit all of the ics apps except the framework, it never wants to compile right. Im using the newest apktool, and everything works like it should except working with the framework.
Yeah, I don't think I have enough under my belt to pull this off especially if it modifies more than just buttons. I do look forward to future mods and getting better in this game. I do appreciate the help you have given! Thanks again!

Try using version 1.42 instead if you run into plurals error when recompiling
http://code.google.com/p/android-apktool/downloads/detail?name=apktool1.4.2.tar.bz2&can=1&q=
and use this aapt.exe
http://www.mediafire.com/?0q52u6v8vdkpq1i
Im still getting errors, something about apktool.yml. I dunno, its pissing me off because I can compile everything but the framework. I have tried apktool 1.4.1, 1.4.2, and 1.4.3. I even tried decompiling with 1.4.3 and recompiling with the .jar and .exe from 1.4.2. Still a no-go.

Here's the framework and sys ui
You can push these with adb or what I did was just drag and drop them into a copy of cm9 alpha 3 rom, go into recovery wipe cache / dalvik and flash rom again with out wiping data.
Big thanks and credits go to mattmanwrx for help and tutorial.
So just replace the current files rezip and flash?

Yes that's what I did. I have no idea on how to make an update script sorry.
What did you do to decompile/compile? pm me, I need to know this. It has been bugging me since ICS started leaking.

I understand we dont have the same phone

Looks good, hope it gets done
Ah... I think I found it... All your drawables have -v4 at the end? So it looked for the wrong folder name...
Just go into the folders inside androidthemes and put -v4 at the end of the drawables then flash the morph.. I think that will work..

Ok guys so here it is, after a lot of trying to figure things out and a lot of testing, I think I've got a perfect gmail app. I have to give credit to fatsix, B-boy, and MM for their work on this apk. I have taken what they started and continued the modding. If you notice anything off let me know and I'll try to fix it. Although, my knowledge is still rather limited compared to some others on here. In any case, the screen shots are below (sorry in advance for blacking out most of my info):

INSTRUCTIONS:
If you are running a custom ROM, install the .zip below in CWM then reboot. Once rebooted the gmail app will force close, so simply go to your apps list and delete data and it should work fine!
As always, I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone and make sure you make a back up!
If you like what you see, then please use the thanks button, then just flash this .zip in CWM and you should be good to go!

I'm wondering if one of you guys give me your framework-res.apk and then I decompile and recompile the app using your framework if it will work? Can some of the more experienced xda-ers shed some light on this?

I know everyone is looking for a kyanROM themed 15 toggle that works with quick panel (including myself) so here it is. I didnt do much as the original toggles were developed by wanam/lindroid and the circle battery was originally done by robsonr... So what exactly did I do? Not alot haha. I just themed the toggles for this ROM as they were all GB green, now they are color matched to kyanROM. Some of the toggles were backwards and lit up when off and turned off when on (fixed) also I thought the originals were a bit on the large side so Ive reduced the overall size of the toggles. There was also a problem with a few of the battery %'s reverting to the original icons instead of the circle battery (fixed). So as you can see I mostly put together 2 great mods for a great ROM with a just a touch of my own work.
Also I originally did this for myself (until I saw how many people were requesting this) so I dont have the battery and toggles seperate. I will be seperating these two in case you want one or the other... I figured for now if you really want the working toggles you can live with the circle battery. Ive gone through this and all should be well but as you know the more people that use it the more we find out... If you find something not working right let me know ill fix it ASAP.
Final thought... I think the overall size of the status bar icons is a little large also so ill be slimming those down next go around to
Installation instructions:
‣Download files
‣Place them in internal sd.
‣Flash the file in CWM.
‣Reboot.
Credits:
wanam/lindroid - original development 15 toggle
robsonr - original circle battery mod

mmm there are 2 threads opened up in development like this. i see it is useful but honestly couldn't this be in themes.apps sections or in kyan's forum itself. i mean no rudness here but less clutter = less mess for mods to deal with.
Your correct... I debated where this should go and maybe themes or Kyans forum would have been better. No offense taken, I'm new here, reading and feedback is how I learn. If the mods would be kind enough to move it I'll be just fine with that

From one fairly new active member of xda to another. The only piece of advice I can give u is that u ALWAYS instruct ppl to do a backup b4 trying any of ur mods/roms/themes etc.. cuz u never know when someone is trying ur stuff without fully knowing what their doing.. just thought I'd say that no offense intended

Now that sextape has released FJ10 for general consumption, is there any chance of seeing a flashable theme for FI27?

Bump.
I see a couple thanks, I know I'm not the only one that would like to see this. Come on people, you know you want this.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
I'd like to see a lot more theming in general for Touchwiz based roms. I know not everyone and their mother are using calkulin's or blazer's rom now, so a theme for 1 rom isnt exactly going to be very usable for everyone but, in my opinion some of these well performing roms very much need a visual uplift.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
There are tons of themes... The only problem is they are only being added to specific ROMs. If those themes were made into flashable zips it would be a different story.
Look at ANY other device on XDA, those themes are all flashable zips. Then look at the E4GT, all of our themes are baked into the ROM itself. No one wants to download 250 - 500 megabytes just for a theme.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Agreed with this thread completely. This its the only device I've seen where all the themes are released as rooms. I think party of that is because we've had so many leaked builds, and it takes a lot of work to keep updating the themes to work with the new leaks.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Doesn't the newest leak look really Sprinty? Haven't flashed it yet, but I opened it up and it looked like any other sprint release. No?
Just wondering what type of theme would come out of it
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
But sure about looking sprinty, I think it just looks a lot like the GS3.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
You'd just need to pull all the pngs from.fj10 and replace the ones in fi27 with them. Mostly just time consuming since nothing would need to be resized.

It will take a lil while cuz you may need to rename them before replacing and it's a huge pain in the ass keeping them all organized before them implantation. I did this once on the evo from an ics sdk dump and it took my about 3 weeks and I didn't manage to get everything. I ended up missing some little stuff that left the theme with ugly green icons in places. It wasn't hard just labor intensive and sloooooow going.
Yeah. I did it once for the cricket Zio. I managed to get a very rough ICS look on a Froyo ROM. It took me a few days and that was just replacing the pngs in the framework. I honestly don't even remember if I did any other apps.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
I feel the same way. back when the phone just came out and we were all on GB there were a lot of themes. like you said i think all of the leaks really killed it because noone wanted to constantly update. it would be nice to see a few nice base roms for fi-27 and then some great themes form them. then there can just be some flashable zips for things you might want that the base rom doesnt have. heres hoping.
Found this little gem on the gnex side. Made a flashable zip for it. Enjoy.

Edit (November 30, 2012 8:51 AM EST) - For those that are looking to install, I'm running this on an AOSP based ROM (BlackBean) and it should work just fine for other AOSP ROMs as it originally came from the Galaxy Nexus. You are free to try it on your Touchwiz ROM but like any other flashable mod, you know the disclaimers. No need to spell it out for you.
Also, I don't care to hear it didn't work for you without anything else to amplify. Those comments are completely unnecessary and litter up a possibly useful thread. Matter of fact, I'll report the offending posts from here on out. Posts like that are what caused Justin860 to have his inverted app thread locked up.
In short, if you don't post something helpful, GTFO. Thanks.
