Is there a Lumia 900 skin for the Windows Phone emulator yet?
I don't use the emulator, so I'm not sure about this, but maybe this is what you are looking for?

Hmm... This is not realy a general topic, since only developers are using the emulator :/
Development is meant for releasing roms, mods, etc. Asking questions should go in Q&A, but since this device lacks one it goes in general.

I opened this thread to ask all developers to try to create a dualboot for our Galaxy S .. so you can start two Android Rom ..
Developpers what do you think about..??
Would be great, this has been done with several android phones already would be sweet if we could have dualboot fun too.
They think that you should post this in the correct section...

If you can't be bothered to read the rules before you post, don't expect a proper reply
I think that if it is here developpers can have more attention for that than in an other section

I agree, should not be posted here yet.
As Allgamer has said in this thread:
You may start planing a [DEV] topic on General or QA and then have it moved to the Galaxy S i9000 Android Development section once the actual Development has started.
Didn't you have another thread a few days ago asking the same thing?
Ok I will start a [DEV] topic on General..
so...

Is there any way to use Multiboot on our MK16i / MK16a ?
Thanks a lot
First of all, this is dev section, questions go in the Q/A area.
Second, there is a forum for Pro, do not ask it in Arc forums.
Thanks.

Of course, there is a Q&A section, and I used to post sth like this in there as well. The problem is that no one actually pay attention to Q&A section. Simply speaking, the question has never been answered.
Plus, if you know the answer, just tell. If you don't, just simply say no or ignore it. You don't have to be rude. Don't act as if you are the owner of the whole forum when you don't even know that PRO and arc have the same forum.
No one actually appreciate your reply.

Hmmm fellow maemo user?
Anyways Pro doesn't have much developer support compared to Arc. So you might get better chances asking for multiboot for Arc than Pro. In fact the only active developer I know for Pro here is FXP and is not that interactively open to users. I might become active but that won't be until ICS comes as I hate developing for a soon to be outdated software. And as for your question nope there's no multiboot for Xperia phones. Better go with Samsung or Nexus phones then you might get better chances with uboot.
Yes, I know we have a build in the Dev Thread.
I found the thread, but the thread was locked.
Any chance for a port/return of this pretty cool UI for our phones, now that ICS Source is with us?

Questions go in the Q&A section
Hi all,
I was just wondering if the is any kernel dev on here, who could answer a few questions about 2 colliding partition names in the Siyah dual boot ramfs I an porting to our phone.
I have got the ramfs almost ready to combine with the kernel to create the boot img, but the is still 2 files I am a little confused about.
If anyone here knows anything about kernel development, could u please send me a pm or something, as i am stuck on theses 2 lines of code, and I can't do anything more with the dual boot kernel till I find a fix.
Cheers

Hi, Yes I hope so too
The Siyah dual boot is really great, I have a galaxy S2 (which I have now replaced with my note 2) and Siyah dual boot was available for that, and that's why I am wanting it on my n2 lol.

Hi,
I just read the developer forum guidelines, and it seems that it's only for guides and things u have already made, so i think this must have to go in the qustions section.
Thanks anyway

Honestly I think you can post your question in the "Galaxy Note II, Galaxy S III Developer Discussion [Developers Only]"
The section guidelines are here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2017367 and it's not about releases and finished products to post. (that's for the Development forum which is a different section, maybe you didn't read the proper guidelines)

It's for actual developers that want to discuss things related to development, and both give and receive help. Your question seems to fit that criteria.

Definitely needed in this forum, seems like a lot of cherry-pickers looking for acknowledgment for cutting and pasting other peoples stuff.
Most roms out there are just cm or aokp with a few tweaks and cosmetic changes or a straight port .....always been that way and always will. Gonna be a real quiet dev section if "copies" weren't allowed. Most are just learning by doing this and sharing....I see no harm in it personally.
If we had more development than we do.....an original dev section and regular dev section may work....like nexus 7 forum for example....but with t989 I think moving roms to general or another dev section isn't necessary.
Just my opinion.

If you read the post. Those ROMs could go in the general section until they mature past a learning experience.

I read it just fine. And my personal opinion (yes...imho) is that it just mucks up the general section. Let people flash the copy roms if they want...their choice. And like I said....about half the t989 roms would end up there.
I just don't think our dev section is busy enough to be worried about this. Some phone sections definitely need these rules, nexus devices for example....but the t989 dev section is not so packed that I think those roms are muddying the waters much.
Where do you suggest the line be drawn as to what is suitable for dev section? We have cm, slim, aokp, skyrocket ports and other roms being altered slightly and in our dev section.....they aren't hurting anyone...and the guys are learning a lot and sometimes making improvements.....but, are they original works? ? So they will all go to general section?
I guess then, to agree in part, I think an original dev section, and a regular dev section may be a better idea. Again....like the nexus 7 for example.
The noobs get slammed by enough unamed veterans already for not searching hard enough.....putting a bunch of roms in general will just make it messy and worse.
Check out the i9100 general section. A mess if you ask me.
K....sorry for the novel!

Also....with t989 devs getting new devices and moving on....why not encourage and support the guys just starting out. Let them go at their pace.....they may be the veterans soon as our current top devs move on.
As I said, its the users choice to flash the roms they flash.....what's the difference what section they're in? To me....all roms should be in dev section. Much less confusion.

Eh, that's not completely true about Nexus forums; there are a lot of Nexus only/original ROMs out. Most newer devices have two dev forums; one for original development (custom kernels, 'original' ROMs, etc.), and the other just 'normal' android development (kangs like stated above).
If you want to see the 'original' ROMs, check out the original dev section.

I know what you're saying...and I think its a far better idea than putting any roms in general. Just too messy!
Sent from my cell phone telephone....
Yeah. I see where your coming from. It would be messy and that may get annoying as well.
But to be honest there is to much leniency in this forum. Dropping straight compiled builds from source "to learn" is not helping the community and is not helping that person learn...
I can build from source and compile that doesn't mean that I know how to build a ROM or that it's a good idea to post them and clutter up the dev section.
I can unzip an already built rom and move some application files around and add some stuff to the build.prop. Does that mean I built a ROM? No. It means that I know how to use WinZip. And definitely should never be in any dev section.
Now I also know some c# , some basic, a little bit C++. Now if I or somebody else use that knowledge to take a pre existing ROM and actually assist in the development or fix problems or issues then that is development and that would belong in the development section.
This is obviously all my opinion. Some of you may agree , some of you may not, some of you might even be one of these people I'm talking about. And this is neither here nor there I simply think everyday dev section should have a sticky like this.
