Hello
I don't know if I just can't find it or if it hasn't been done but, does the HTC watch app exists for non HTC devices like our galaxy nexus?
Thanks in advance
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
no, not that i know of, i could never find the official sense clock.
However there are some on the play market, copy of the sense widgets and more.
Unfortunately no, its going to require that you're on an HTC Sense device. They wouldn't just let that out so easily
I will pay for this!
A request to all XDA developers! I used to have an HTC Flyer then HTC Jetstream and now am on the Motorola XYBOARD 8.2. I bought a lot of movies on Watch and I will pay someone a bounty if they can hack the HTC Watch application for tablets to work on the Motorola so I can login with my Watch account.
Thank you!!

Are you going to buy Wildfire S?
If not tell reason.
I'm going to buy because it is very small and easy to handle.
It contain gingerbread os.
Nice look.
Etc.....
Im considering it........
Im due for my upgrade in 2 months and I think Im going to get the Desire HD/Omnia 7, sell it and buy a little android device to play around with and have some cash leftover.....
Wildfire s has 256k color is it true?
Bcoz wildfire has 16M color.
So the Quality of image in Wildfire s is lower than Wildfire?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Apparently it is true
Seems a bit backwards...............
Release date anybody know?
I'm really waiting for it.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
its released on march 21st in the uk I think....
not sure about elsewhere..
Thanks for info.
I got this info
http://blog.phoneslimited.co.uk/2011/02/27/htc-wildfire-s-release-date-confirmed/
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
that seems to be the date that its available sim free...
I think its available on contract a bit earlier.
I read on Cnet that Wildfire s will be running 2.4 version of gingerbread (what they mean is 2.3.3 probably with the bug fixes) and a new sense with app filtering and new notification pull down menu multi tasking.
Yeah I would definitely upgrade for a better screen alone cos face it wildfire home screen fonts looks fuzzy and good games and apps are out of reach. But I thank it for bringing me into the Android world.
Rest in peace.

Isnt this just like the HTC legend now... Spec wise?
I'm sure many budget people will. I think I'm going for the DHD now as it is cheaper.
I cant wait for wildfire s.
So I bought Htc desire.

I already have a wildfire and I do not buy the wildfires.
I'm tired of the small screen resolutions ...
Im getting the Wildfire S for my gf as birthday gift
When's it due to be out?

ETA for Germany is 15.06.

The quoted battery life is worse than the old Wildfire!?
Sent from my E10i using XDA App
Have read that wildfire s has front facing camera, big improvement there but doubt the quality. The camera and media player has always been downside of wildfire.

Even I am willing to get Wildfire S, provided its priced decently.
Else will go for LG Optimus One P500.
Pretty much confused between the two
I have one of these. To be honest it is one HELL of a difference to the normal wildfire. Live wallpapers work smooth, angry birds works smooth and just the look and feel of the device is way better. Comes with gingerbread.
Flaw is the battery life is utter poop. With my 3G on, music on, exchange email the battery lasts about 6 hours if that.
No HTC flashlight or the office applications either. No Tweeter (game). Seems that they got rid of alot of apps. HTC sense works so much better.
^For how much did you get Wildfire S for?
Just received an email from 3denmark where I pre-ordered my one x, that they did not manage to deliver before easter hollydays.
Therefore they will provide me a HTC media link hd for free when it launches in may.
Very good news indeed. I sure can wait a few extra days then
And a question. Does the media link work with my galaxy tab 10.1?

Nice service by 3
The HTC Media Link HD only works with the HTC One series of devices.
Newbie here folks, go easy!
Basically I'm just trying to get some info on the Sky Go app coming to the One X. I have had numerous emails back and forward with Sky and they are just like politicians when it comes to answering questions on the subject. I got this from them yesterday but it's a cop out. They say they are working on getting the best selling phones sorted first. How can they say the One X is not one of the best selling phones? My angered increased this week when I noticed the app was rolled out across 3 Samsung devices, again, ignoring the One X. I upgraded from a Desire to this phone and the Desire ran it without any bother. It's disgraceful how they're dragging their heels on this. anyway, this is what they sent yesterday:
sky.com/helpcentre/sky-go-on-android/
Example:
"Why is Sky Go only available on selected HTC and Samsung smartphones?
The Android platform covers a wide range of devices that have differing hardware and versions of the Android operating system. We have to tailor the Sky Go app for each smartphone to ensure our customers with these handsets get the optimum Sky Go experience which takes considerable time to build and test before we can release it. Factors we need to consider include:
HDMI out - The majority of new Android smartphones include the option to plug your phone into your TV through your HDMI port. We have to disable this feature so that we do not breach our contracts with content providers, and the process for doing this is different for each model.
Screen resolutions - Each device has a different screen resolution which we need to optimise in order to deliver the best picture quality on each device.
Media Player - There are several different built in media players. We must adjust our content stream in order to provide an optimum stream with minimal disruption.
Given these constraints, we have chosen to launch on a selection of the most popular Android smartphones based on their sales volumes to ensure as many Sky TV customers as possible can enjoy Sky Go.
We are aware of unofficial versions of Sky Go for Android devices. Please note that these will not be supported by Sky."

Thanks Shankly, I'll root out that link if its still around. You've been more help to me this morning than Sky has been in 3 months!

Wow that was quick!!! Thanks!!
I'd personally take it with a pinch of salt until we actually see it - wouldn't be surprised if Sky don't release it for the One X!

i don't understand why they need to disable hdmi out? if you're paying for the service to watch on a tv, then why the hell can't you watch it on a tv?

voodoo worked fine on my Galaxy S2 but doesn't seem to work on my HOX.
Is there anyway of watching sky go on laptop/Pc then streaming/watching via our HOX?

Not having sky go in the UK must be coasting HTC sales big time,if its a choice between one x with no sky go or the S 3 with it how many Joe public will just go for the S3
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
I think sky are pulling a fast one as i can get sky on my pc & it has hdmi & is connected to a 24 inch 1080p monitor, makes the argument about the one x not getting sky go very lame.

I've been in love with HTC sence when i had my desire phone. Today I saw the One X and I thought of buying it.
However, I'm not sure if it's going to be easy for me. For example, i disabled here the browser because I use chrome. In general, I use most of Google services. Would it be the same there? And how was the experience of those moved from Galaxy Nexus to One X (or Nexus to Sense)? For years, I thought I won't ever like to try something other than the Nexus pure Android...

Agree 100%. Window phones are great. but don't have as many customizations or applications. Coming from an android you might get bored.

exactly. if u like modifications then choose dhd. if u want to try something new then buy hd7. imo better will be dhd because you can modify this phone in almost every way which fit to you and also you have much more available apps than windows has

Well, the Nexus S still has a pretty good dev community.
Even though Google dropped it from the official 4.2 update list, there's already custom ROMs for it.
Overall, I'd recommend this over the DHD or HD7
im on the sensation XE and i am pretty happy. full s-off, decent rom development. free sim unlock and fully running jellybean.
I think u shouldn't buy something from HTC (One V same hardware as DHD and its actually 3 years old) and because of the miserable build quality of htc phones im really pissed off from my Htc one X
Why the Nexus S not the GNex? in germany the galaxy Nexus cost just 20 bucks more i think u should buy this phone it's really great!
I personally switch to the Nexus 4
Same I would go for the Nexus 4. In the UK the Nexus 4 is £279 for the 16 gb. For the specs that is a big deal!
Thank you guys all of yo,as a matter of fact i got the best offer for nokia lumia 710 which is WP phone so i will be selling my wildfire for sure and buying lumia
Thanks again
Cheers
One thing you should keep on mind that wp7 devices will not be updated to wp8 whereas android phones van be updated to latest version even if the manufacturer stops updating so if you want to buy windows phone then buy only wp8 else you will be stuck forever.
