Hi,
Flashed Leedroid rom and thought best to calibrate the battery but on 100% it shows voltage around 1631 but spec says its 1800... Am I missing something or is this normal.
Thanks

Hi, Im just recently flashed HoneyMIUI 2.3. The very 1st thing Ive noticed is the great battery lifespan but then the worst happened - recharging time also increased.
Im a keen user who is always check my battery usage and drain, in term of monitoring the device current usage and normal daily usage. The recharge current dropped from 600mAh++ to 300-400mAh which my charging time also increase from 3 ¼ hour to 4 ¾ hours.
Is it related to the ROM? Or simply hardware problem? (Ive already tested with other charger, also the same)

Solved. Unmatched kernel and radio

Hi guys!
I have question.
When i have charged my HOX, and just normally use it, it looks like it jumps from 100 to 99, to 98, to 92!! It just stick to 98 for a while, and after that it jumps to 92 (just an example). I am on leedroid's ROM atm. Is this a common problem?
Thanks!
I'm on stock ROM and using battery widget monitor and I get the same think, guess it's just they way the system reports the battery percent. Had the same issue on my Sensation ad well.

Hmm, i think a software tweak can sort this out. Saw there is a tweak for sensation too right?
When you charge your phone it will charge to 100%, then take itself off the power source. It will then deplete the battery to 90-95% and then go back on the power source until 100%, and repeat. This is why you have those jumps in battery percentage. Once it charges to 100% once, it will be "fully charged" even if it is in one of those discharging states.

same here. it stays on a pont (ex 80%) for an hour+ then when i unlock it and browse for 5 sec it reports 75- %

Yeah I've got the software set to one X, it seems to report the mAH drain correctly but the percent still jumps.

jepp have the same problems. Let's see if it will be better after a couple of charge cycles.

yes i think it does. Let's hope someone can give us a explanation about this
Same problem here
Same here.
1.28 see's battery jump around 3-5% every now and then.
It once hung on around 41% for around 5 hours when i had the screen off/on very occassionally to check emails/reply. And then it jumped down to 34%
Hi!
So, a few weeks ago I purchased the OEM HTC Incredible S battery for my Desire Z (Perfect fit, adds 150mAh capacity).
I did a battery stats reset when I installed the battery, but something strange happens with my battery percentage. It shows 100% remaining for about 2 hours after running on battery, even when making use of the phone. And, when charging, it takes little time to get to 99%, but takes extremely long to reach 100%.
So it seems that the extra capacity isn't being fitted in to the battery stats correctly, it's as if the extra 150mAh hasn't been averaged in to the battery stats, but rather just added to the top at 99%...
Does that make any sense? Am I missing something here?

It's normal for me..99% is always take much longer (30-45min) to charge compare to 20-50% it's fast

Do the wipe one more time...then charge and drain about 2 times..it should calibrate properly after that

That's normal behavior for a new battery, Should have got the Evo 4G Design battery.

Ah, didn't know those fit! Will keep that in mind
I think the screen explains this perfectly... any ideas?
What are you using to charge?

Make sure you are using the original charger. Also try wiping battery stats

I think it is just a faulty charger... but damn.. it drained my battery fast...

Wipe ur battery stats, drain ur battery then charge uninterrupted till its full, drain and charge again so that max and min battery levels are well calibrated. A battery app like battery doctor will help keep ur battery in giid shape.

Perhaps is there another reason. When you install a new rom, you must wait several cycles of charge/discharge to have a good battery life.
So, interrupt his charging cycle isn't the best way for battery life. And yes, you must wipe your battery stats to.
Now my battery died, when i plug charger, sometimes led blink 2 times with red light, and it's over. I will replace it. I pray for battery issue, not motherboard. What do you think about this problem?
I had the same issue under Sense 5 roms.
With the phone on and charging I never reached more than 60% of battery even using battery optimizer.
The solution for me has been back to a 4.2 AOSP Rom (ICJ in my case) and a couple of cycles again my battery works as usual.
I tried again with a S5 rom and the issues are back, so I have to use no Sense 5 roms if I want my battery right.
You can also try to charge in Recovery, that worked for me, to wake the bootloader.
Hope this would be useful for you.
Cheers.
PD. Sorry for my english
Have you tried a stock sense 5.0 rom?
PS. Maby we have the same HOX cause of same problems
I´ve tried ARHD & MaximusHD, both with Stock kernel and Alex-V S.E. 2.1
Always with the same result.

This week i found something that seemed to be a issue like the one reported here. My phone goes without battery before i got to sleep. I got my phone to charge on the Wall charger (HTC OEM). When i woke up i figured out that my battery only charged up to 15% (Froze at 15%)
It is the second time this has happened since the Sense 5 update (OTA Update).
Never happened before.
hey......friends my desire always shuts down at 40% of battery when I fully(100) charge it.....I want to know that if it is a battery problem or phone defect?

If it's still the original battery, it's very likely due to battery aging
You can try to properly calibrate the battery (NOT by wiping the battery stats), there is a proper method which is supposed to work. But this doesn't give it extra live, just tries to reset the readings so it displays correctly. It will simply appear to drain faster, but hopefully shut down closer to 0%
My advice would be to buy a new battery, make sure it is an official one or from a reputable seller with good reviews.
thanks dude.....i will try changing battery if it works
