The Google Play Music app lets you listen to your music collection anywhere. All your music is stored online, so no need to worry about syncing or storage space.
* Music purchases from Google Play automatically appear in the app.
* Add up to 20,000 more songs from your personal music collection on your computer for free.
* Access your entire music library instantly with the Google Play Music app, and save your favorites for offline playback.
* Share a free full play of the songs you purchase from Google Play with your friends on Google+.
* Available in the U.S. only.
This is a good player. pair it with an equalizer found in play store and its perfect. Just sharing.

Available in the U.S. only, does it mean anybody outside US can't use it or had limited function. If it had limited, what's being limited?

In a german Forum is an instruction how you can use it outside of usa. I can translate it in a few days for you
Gesendet von meinem GT-I8150 mit Tapatalk
Sorry, i cant post links I will add them later.
So here is the instructions. Maybe it sounds a bit crazy, but i hope you can understand it.
Thanks to pl4cid for this instructions!
This is an instruction how you can use Google Music outside of USA.
I found it in a German forum (Source: http://www.android-hilfe.de/showthread.php?t=190873 ) so it’s only a translation.
What you need:
- PC with Internet
- Google Account
- Galaxy W with root
- (App: Root Explorer)
Start:
Step 1: To registry on music.google.com you need an US IP. You can use this tool: http://cyberghostvpn.com (or a proxy or an alternative tool) to get a new IP and to registry on music.google.c.o.m
Notice: This step is only important for registration, after this you can sync your music from every pc without a fake IP.
Step 2: After registration with VPN/Proxy you can download the Music Manager from Google. It’s better to “stay” in the VPN when you installed the Music Manager and starts the first time.
Step 3: In the music manager you can choose where you want to upload your music (iTunes, media player, …) Choose something and upload some tracks.
Step 4: you can close the music manager and VPN/proxy. Now start the music manager without a VPN/proxy to sync your music. The first start will .So be a little patient, it works in EVERY CASE.
Now you are ready to take your music to stream to the cloud. Now you can hear your music in the browser. Next step is to make the music available on the way with the appropriate Google App.
Step 5: !Important!: make a backup of your music.apk (system/app)!! Copy the apk to your sd-card!!
Step 6: go to system/app and delete music.apk. You have got a backup.
Step 7: copy the new music.apk to system/app. Now you have to set the correct permissions (rw-r - r -), so like everyone else APKs in system / app.
Step 8: do a reboot.
(Step 8.1: I'm not sure whether the step is necessary, but it will also help to exclude potential problems: Go into Settings -> Applications -> All -> Music (version should be latest now).
Clear the cache and then also the data.)
Step 9: Now you can use the app. Now, under account settings should be a new entry, here you can set the sync. In the app you can use the menu button to adjust everything.
Have fun
Please ask if you have problems or you dont understand something!
sweet player
I added the links.

can this app play on mobile network? or its slow and needed a wifi connection? in my understanding you can a song as 'favorite' if you want to play it back later on so it means its like downloading the song right? if thats it people here in the philippines cant use this app well coz of low connection speed when it comes to mobile network damn.

Yes, MarketEnabler is working fine. Also, you need to use just once MarketEnabler to download google play music app. If you want to download it again later, you can find the app in my apps section in the market, you dont need MarketEnabler. Besides, you can get updates too, just like other apps.
Thank you. Apollo was just not doing the job.

Google Music is onlyavailable in the USA. Is there a similar service in Canada?
Thanks
Once you have created an account (do it on your computer thru a proxy), you will be able to use Google Music in Canada. You can't buy music but you can still stream/download for offline use.
There is a guide how to use Google music outside of US here in xda. I followed that guide and using Google music in Korea.

I was able to use proxy very easily. Using Firefox browser, a plugin called "stealthy" is used, and is visible, once installed in the top right corner of your screen. When you want the proxy turned on, click the stealth bomber and it turns green. Want it off? Click it again and it turns red!
I am able to go to google music anytime using this method, and works flawlessly!

Or basically anywhere you would normally get music before Google Music popped onto the scene only a few short months ago. Odd question.
I use Microsoft Zune. Music is generally cheaper than other places and the UI is great. My sister and I buy a Zune pass together. The music is DRM protected, but there are ways around that...

Mainly iTunes but that's due to a lack of options. I always check hmvdigital.ca first though and if it's the same price there, I'll get it from there instead of iTunes. hmvdigital songs are for the most part 320kpbs and are DRM free and you can download them again and again as many times as you want.

Is this still working for you? I have been using the services in Canada without issue until today, now the Music Manager won't upload additional songs. Methinks Google may have caught on.
I use 7digital. They have a Canadian store and an Android app so you can buy right to the phone if you like. The stuff I've purchased has been 320kbps DRM-free. Easy as pie.
I've been using Google music in Canada since it launched with absolutely no issues. I used a program to fake my IP for the invite, as far as I know you no longer need an invite now. Music manager works flawlessly as well, overall the whole setup is beautiful and I love it.

Google Play Store (Android Market) v3.5.15
Requirements: Android v2.2+
Overview: Play Anywhere, All your entertainment in one place, Google Play is your one-stop shop for all your favorite entertainment.
ChangeLog:
- You now have the Installed and All tabs you can swipe between. The former one is what we used to have before - it lists all apps installed on your device. The latter lists all apps you've ever installed in case you want to download them again or travel down the memory lane. This is quite handy, and I've seen this list before in the Play Store on the web, so it's great to get it here in the mobile app.
- The All tab contains a handy dropdown with all your accounts (if you added more than one) and lets you switch between them very easily (as opposed to clicking Menu, etc).
- The list of apps you have purchased but uninstalled or haven't installed yet has moved to the All tab... which means it's now mixed in with the free apps you no longer have on the device. I'm not sure how I feel about that - on one hand, I like that it's gone from the first list, but ideally there should be a way to filter paid apps from free in the All list. Maybe someday...
- A few of the stock apps that apparently never got linked to the Play Store before got identified and picked up this time, and updates to such orphans were waiting for me when I fired the Store up. I've complained about this very bug in my last rant, and it looks like someone listened.
- Just like in the web Play Store:
# reviews now show the device used by the reviewer
# reviews can now be sorted by Most Helpful first or Newest first
# you can now filter reviews to show ones for the latest version of the app as well as made by only the device you are using
Installation Guide:
1.Download the apk from the links
2.put the apk on the phone ,don't use adb install *.apk in won't work it will say it already exists
3.Open the apk from the phone using a File explorer (ASTRO for example)
4.it will ask you if you want to replace the current market, press yes.
5.wait for install and voila you have the new market
NOTE:this method replaces the old market.

a hidden folder called ".android_ secure"

Hello guys
I installed Takju build and flashed OTA and i dont have the Google ears widget. I am not in US maybe that could be the reason. I want to know if i could sideload the widget. If possible please provide me the apk.
Cheers
Google Ears is there, but it's frozen if you, like me, are not in the US.
Use Titanium Backup (needs Root) to defrost it. But It will freeze again if you reboot the phone.
Other frozen apps are Google Movies, Magazines, Books and Wallet. Obviously these doesn't work outside US but Ears does.
Cheers!

I mean google didnt have to link the widget to play store. they could have just given the widget to everyone just for identifying music. There are plenty of app to do that but google's was minimalistic and i like it

I didn't know that. In Venezuela none of those apps work.
I would have frozen those if I had the chance. Except Google Ears.
Now I'm trying to find any script that disable (freezes) those apps at startup. Any help will be great.

+1 MCR is able to do this, looking for permanent solution. TQ :highfive:
What you can do is uninstall the app using Titanium Backup. Reboot. Install the apk from here. Now it's there forever. Unless you uninstall it obviously.
Tried your version but It's not working...
The only way to get Play Music and Google Ears working (permanent without any "freezing", which is a term that does not even exists) is to factory restore your phone and set everything without a SIM card inside, while connecting to a US IP VPN Wi-Fi. Then, you will be able to install Play Music Music and Search Music widget. Obviously, you will need a Google Music account... Once you set everything, place the widget on one page and test it, it will work and open the Play store for the song you searched. Then, insert your SIM card and reboot the phone, the Ears and Play Music will continue to function properly but you will lose the Magazines and Music sections in your Play store.

As a general rule, Google voice actions doesn't launch apps. It'll launch the dialer, messages, maps, navigation, the browser and some of those basic things.
There's a thread somewhere about the nexus 7 tablet manual that is free thru google play books that has a section with all the commands for the now search app. I don't have the link available.
It would suck if Google limited now's ability to Google's own apps. That's the worst thing about its retarded cousin, siri

Instead of 'play', have you tried to ask: 'listen to' --- [artist] or [song title]? It works for me. It should even ask you to choose between Google Music, YouTube, and any other music app you already have installed (like Rdio, Jango, Slacker, etc).
Also, make sure you've followed this guide on how to set up Google Now:

Same thing happens, Now will show the "link" to Google Music, but then the browser automatically opens up over it ... It also happens when I try "call xxx", the contacts open up (because of multiple phones for this person), but then almost immediately, a browser opens showing the Google results ...
There's gotta be a setting somewhere to disable auto browser results ....
If I say, "Text Melissa -text here-" it works. But if I say "Text Mom -text here-" it won't. I have to say "Send text to Mom" for it to send a text. Same with calling. So my suggestion is to play around with the wording.
Change your settings to 'always search from Google.com instead of your local domain.' Then it'll work. I'm in india, did this, and then it started showing cards/doing actual voice actions.

Go to settings>phone search and untick the browser setting. That should sort it.
You don't have to uncheck browser in settings. You can launch application by saying "launch [app name]".
Maybe you have to change both system language and voice input language to English(US).

More info about Google Now
Ok, the option to listen to music works, but it will give you the option to listen to songs that you have stored in your phone with the default music application, it's not like it'll stream music from the web so use it confidently. Also, following all the set up instructions for Google Now exposed in a previous post helps a lot. A personal note: I would say that Google Now works pretty much better with searches on the web and in my experience S-Voice on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S3) works better with the phone's applications. Basically both of them are good, but each one has a strength tha the other does not. Hope it helps as the thread of this post helped me.

I have a workaround for Tomtom. Initially tried adjusting the resolution and DPI, though that messed up launching built in apps and Swiftkey goes all funny (needs a reboot to work again after restoring default settings), so gave up on that idea.
I am using TomTom Europe. Issue is a black screen on 2d and 3d views. Contacted TomTom who advise it wont work above 1080x1920 with no ETA for a QHD release
One workaround is to add TomTom to the split screen apps, accessible by pressing and holding the Back button.
You will need to root to do this. Basically edit the /system/etc/com.lge.splitwindow.default.apps.xml, as per previous LG G Flex article: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2673968
For mine, the app name to add was "com.tomtom.europe"
Tomtom then works OK with about an 80/20 split with another app (such as messages). Is not as accurate with pressing the back button in the app (need to press slightly outside the frame) though the maps appear OK. About to give it my first journey with split screen mode so will see how I get on.
Add deezer to the list

Hi guys. What about iplayer and Sky go apps... Can you successfully download programs and play back on the G3? I use this these apps and don't want to miss out when I change phone. Thanks

iPlayer confirmed as working inc downloads on a rooted G3. Can't test Sky Go for you though.
