I'm running 7.2RC1 and my gfs running Andy's stock and both of our play stores wont let us DL anything. Mine says error parsing package and hers says no connection actually while connected to wifi. I got the market working on mine but I forced closed, cleared data and uninstalled updates but it automatically "upgraded" after I launched the app. Is anyone else having play store probs?

Yeah I had some problems with my play store as well(it sucks after the updates). If it says no connection then you have to kill it with a task manager, and then open it again it fixes the problem. I have this problem both on my Acer Iconia A100 running ICS, and my Incredible 2 running Skyraider Zeus. For your other problem you have to clear data in Google framework services as well and then reboot.
I very occasionally get the "error parsing package" on select applications. The thing that is really bugging me about Play Store is no matter what Sense ROM I flash at some point the phone starts into an incessant loop of FC's from the "Market". For me its so bad I pretty much can't run a Sense ROM at all anymore. Personally I am using Condemned Soul's latest CM ROM on which I have zero Play Store issues. IMHO it sure seems when the the Market --> Play Store migartion took place, some things got seriously f'd up.
OK, this getting kind of ridiculous. There is only one ROM I can flash that I don't end up getting a bunch of Market FC's. And yes I have fixed permissions. What gives?
beats me broseph after a while my market (refuse to call it play store) started acting right again so I assume it was a problem on el googs part but if you're still having problems try wiping the app data

Clear data on market and google services framework
I've made a call to Google about it already.. I was having parsing errors and it was giving me a purchase cannot be processed error on everything including free apps they tried denying anything, told me to do a factory reset.. did all that, told them I'm rooted with different Roms and kernels and then all of the sudden one of the advanced tech guys sent me an email saying that it's been happening a lot since the play store change and they need a logcat.. it's intermittent for me and everytime it happens again, I'm nowhere near a pc for logcat

Did you try my suggestion?
Like factory resetting your entire phone is a reasonable fix for ONE APP gtfo try franks fix it worked for me still a little hit or miss. I had to uninstall all the updates to revert it back to like novembers market update but of course it upgraded on the next launch

Maybe you should read the suggestion again, because there was nothing about a factory reset. He was saying to go to
settings>>apps>>google play store>> clear data
and
settings>>apps>>google services framework>> clear data
For me on MIUI 2.3.23, the fix and su killall drmserver plus franks suggestion is not working.
Forgot to add in you have to restart after you clear data on both.
This has worked for me twice now and a ton of other people on XDA.
if you go into manage apps and remove updates to play store, it will work fine for that session, but when you close and go back it updates again, so remove updates again, i know its a pain in the butt but you can download stuff, just a suggestion, works for me

What seemed to be happening for me was that the super user app was not granted super user permissions when I did this in one command.

For that error you need to clear the data in play store and then remove your google account from accounts and sync. After that open play store. I actually told google about this solution two Weeks ago.

I have been searching for the past couple hours and haven't turned up a fix. A lot of people have suggested reflashing gapps and I'd love to do that but I can't find the apk or zip for it anywhere. Does anyone have a dl link for it? Or perhaps another solution?

Try cancelling and re-starting the download. If that doesn't work, open up Settings>Applications>Manage Applications, find Market, Force Close it, then re-open and re-install the updated app. Works for me every time.

Done that 20 times already. I've also wiped and reflashed twice too.
I found the gapps zip and flashed it, of course that didn't work. I just noticed that I can't sign in to google talk either. Everthing I've read says that the market is heavily dependent on gtalk.
I am extremely frustrated and want to throw my evo through my damn window.
try opening Talk and letting that sign in, then restart your download and see if it works. If it still doesn't sign talk out and then back in and try again.
Works for me every time, I think there is a glitch that both apps must be logged on to work

Nope. I can't sign in to Talk.
By chance did you recently change your WiFi access point setup? Or recently attach to it? Your WiFi / router may be firewalling your outbound access. I figured this out after a lot of time banging my head with the same problem.
Even more bizzare was that once connection attempts occurred on my WiFi, just shutting off the WiFi did not resolve like I thought it would. I figured it would go to the 3G to continue... but you actually would have to power down the phone (battery out) to get it going.
Ultimately, I had to open up my port access (outbound) for my phone.

It is driving me crazy all day as well! I got the impression that it was because I installed a new ROM or because I added an EXT partition in Clockworkmod recovery. This was the first time I wanted to try A2SD and it drove me crazy all day not being able to download apps anymore...
Not over Wifi, not over 3G...
And now I have to conclude more people are having this problem today haha
OMG
Yer its killing me,
I need to download My Backup Pro
Just flashed rom and cannot restore nothing.
Just noticed the same issue, was trying to update the YouTube app and download failed. Have tried a factory reset and this hasn't worked. There is a list of possible fixes on the Google support forum, just search for marketplace fix.
Seems odd that several people are having the same issue on the same day, perhaps its a marketplace fault?

Market working again
Had the same issue all day yesterday. The Market is working again this morning.
Had the same problem last night. It seems to be working fine today.
Working for me too this morning, tired the Google Talk tip along with many others re: clearing out various caches but none seemed to work. Obviously a fault with the market place than our actual phones.
So is this a common problem then, as I've just recently flashed my phone to 2.2 on the JPM firmware. I was beginning to think it was this, but after I thought about it, it happened to me this morning while I was still running 2.1.
How annoying!
hmm it diden't work yesterday for me but this morning it worked. but now it dosen't :S
I was having the same problem and tried the talk app logging in method which had worked previously in similar circumstances, but this time didn't work yesterday. Later I cleared the cache for the market app via the settings menu and it worked immediately, but was slower than usual.
my unrooted 2.2 desire will not update or download new apps from the market either.
i was thinking it was a memory issue.... had some issues on ota rom upgrade recently and i needed to uninstall 'Google earth' to get it to work despite phone showing ample memory free.
Also I have had the problem since downloading 'voice search' or this could be a coincidence.
So my phone or marketplace fault?
Is everyone else able to download/install again now?
[SOLVED] This is not a market / memory / phone issue
Guys,
I was having this exact same problem and after doing a bit of searching on the internet I found a solution:
It's something to do with internal phone cookies / tokens. The market depends on two sets of data - the market app and "download manager".
You can fix this problem easily in the future if you force close both, and then clear the cache and the data from both from settings -> applications -> manage apps
The reasons signing into google talk would have worked is that it updated the internal token
It seems the time out is very brief - but this is indeed the issue and its fixed every time using this method.
As far as I can tell there is a bug on Android developers already registered.
Sorry Mate ... doesen't fix the problem for me
make sure you force close the apps, market and download manager. then clear the data.
click on your market download list to rebuild it too. then it should work
I had same problem on my desire, and I looked the way to fix it. On phones memory was just 8% of free space, and I erased some apps. On the end I concluded that phone can't download or update anything if it has less than 10% free memory space. After I erased some apps and on that way make more free space on phones memory I was easy downloaded and updated apps from market. I must say that I have non rooted phone.
I hope so that I help with my thread.
For some reason my GN doesn't wan to download any apps from the market over mobile network, 4g or 3g. I can't even download small apps, 30-35kb size. Download starts then it says "downloading" for about 5 min and then message pops up " download failed" or "Error downloading. There is insufficient space on the device". I have 27 GB available and Wifi downloads work perfect.
Any pointers? Should I change some kind of settings?
Open the Menu -> Settings in the marketplace and see if "Update over Wi-Fi only" is turned on.

Flash stock images..
I have a stock Verizon CDMA GNex, and started running into this after downloading apps without incident for the first couple of weeks after getting the phone. What I noticed is that when I initiate the download of an app from a PC web browser -- it USED to work flawlessly -- and I thought it was pretty cool that I could be on a web browser on any PC, and if logged into my Google account I could initiate a download on my GNex as long as it was online, somewhere. Anyway - this worked fine at first.
Then, after downloading half a dozen or so apps, I started getting the "error downloading" / "insufficient space" error on the device any time I initiated the download from a PC. However - I could still do the download from the App Market if I initiated it from the GNex itself (not the PC). This has been consistent for the last week or so, until I finally got to the point where even starting the download from the GNex wouldn't work.
What fixed things for me (at least temporarily): clearing data and cache for both the App Market app and the Download Manager. No need to reboot, etc. Just clearing the data and cache from the Market and download manager seems to let things work again - from either the device itself or a remote PC running the web version of the Market.
Pretty weird though. When I google this, it appears this is a known issue going back something like 3 months. I'd think it could be pretty easy to address, and have the download manager and the Market clean up after themselves, and also check before attempting a new download and do the clean up then if needed. We shouldn't have to do this manually!

I had the same problem a couple of times. The easiest way to solve it is to run Lucky Patcher and you'll see a toast notification that unused data/odex has been removed. That should solve the problem.
You'll probably have to be rooted though. Not sure if Lucky Patcher works on non-rooted GNs.
Hit 'Thanks' if I helped. Cheers!

Hi guys,
I think I've found a possible workaround for forcing Nexus Update without breaking Google Services Framework. I did this procedure on three Nexus and got the same result, so I think it's safe (or I'm lucky as hell).
Step by step:
Settings->Apps->All->Google Services Framework
Click on Force Stop and Clear Data after.
Go check your System Updates on "Settings->About". If it works and your phone starts downloading the update, reboot your phone immediately. When it's back on, Google Services will ask your permission to get your location and anonymous data, click Agree and open some google app, like Maps. Go back to your System Updates on About menu and proceed as usual.
I think the trick here is to allow Google Service Framework to rebuild its data before the update run itself.
Well, it worked for me and worth a try

Ty, I've been hunting for a solution for some time now, and I didn't think of something like that.... It is true, when I disabled AdBlock Plus, I didn't see the error again.
Guess I either need a replacement for Adblock Plus, or something in it's settings to change?? hmmmm.

wow thanks for this. It's been driving me insane. I removed Adblock Plus and it worked. So I installed AdAway and rebooted. Seems to still work fine also. So try that ad blocking app out. So far so good.
Solved ! ( apparently not related to AdBlockPlus)
To make a long story short, I don't have AdBlockPlus but i DO have DroidWall installed.
just forgot I had to allow "MediaServer" to access the internet (as well as YouTube of course) - problem solved.
This has been happening to me. I fixed it by going to manage apps. YouTube, Delete cache, delete data, uninstall updates and I clicked the turn off button. Ran cleanmaster app and removed junk files. Then I rebooted and turned youtube back on and now videos will play. I'm on the Galaxy S4 stock.
Hopefully this helps someone
By the way Facebook wouldn't play any videos it would say "can't play video" and now Facebook is playing the same videos that it couldn't before.

I'm hurting especially bad, because it happens to me on both types of connections (4G & WiFi). I even tried a 3rd party YouTube app and that wouldn't work either.
All this since today's (or last night's?) v10.25.57 YouTube update!
I am running a Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy (SGH-M819N) Mega
KitKat 4.4.4 (Stock), Rooted
Thank You.

Ty, I've been hunting for a solution for some time now, and I didn't think of something like that.... It is true, when I disabled AdBlock Plus, I didn't see the error again.
Guess I either need a replacement for Adblock Plus, or something in it's settings to change?? hmmmm.
Again though, thanks again!!!!

Hi,
I tried disabling AdAway and reverting back to the original Hosts file, but no joy.
This time, it's affecting both my 4G & WiFi connections. When this happened before, I could at least watch it on 4G.
The weird thing is, that if I'm not signed in, I can watch videos. But once I sign in, EVEN WHEN USING A 3RD PARTY YOUTUBE APP, I have the problem!
Yes, eventually a YouTube update will come through that will fix it (could be 6 months or so), but I'm thinking that something "underneath" it all got updated/changed at the same time, because otherwise;
Why would it affect me only when I sign in?
And if it was limited to only the YouTube app being updated and there isn't anything else being changed at the same time in the background where you don't see it, then how could 3rd party YouTube apps be affected when you sign in to them with your Google (Gmail) account?
See what I mean? Something else, "under the hood" simply must be going on, amen?
