Loading problem-HTC One X - HTC One X

Hi Guys, Ive noticed a problem with my HTC One X which is whenever I boot up into an application such as Facebook, Twitter etc. When I exit out of the application, It causes my htc sense to reboot causing it to always say loading whenever I exit an application.. Is this normal or do I have a fault, if it is a fault it is most likley to be a software fault so should I root and change to a custom rom (If there is any decent ones out)

Go to settings, developer options, make sure don't keep activities is unticked

Yeah ive fixed it, It seemed that one of the applications was causing htc sense to crash, which was advanced task killer Ive uninstalled it and it not shown me the loading screen yet

I am also experiencing this problem. But I don't have an advanced task killer app, so that can't be causing me the problem. Also I have unticked that option in develeoper options. Any other thoughts? Or will I have to wait for an update from HTC?

Same problem but no solution yet!
Hello guys;
I unticked that option in develeoper options and have no app that should do problems and yet the loading keeps showing and it is very annoying, please some help here!
Thanks in advance
Ali

Easy find !

Follow these steps to stop getting Error Message: 'Loading' ...
Ensure there is no tick mark next to 'Don't keep activities'.
Ensure 'Background process limit' is set to: At most 4 processes.

by default sense has very aggressive memory management meanng it will close apps quite quickly there are some app on play and as a mod on the forums, to improve it.
but before that have you tried unticking and reticking the box? clearing cache/data of FB or reinstalling it?
I have no memory management tweaks and i am getting them just fine :/

Does nobody else face this issue? :-( Do you get FB notifications in your taskbar?
cheers,

I don't get them either, but I didn't get them on the SGS2 either, so not sure if I'm supposed to get them.
I get a notification via tapatalk though when someone sends me a private message. - so, not every process gets killed.

What kind of notifications do you miss?
Perhaps you should activate them yourself, on your fb groups you should visit the group and turn on notifications to get them, for IM you game messenger perhaps (no problem there I think?)
You can also check the refresh interval @settings on your Facebook app if it is high then you won't get notifications so often.

where to check - within the app or within FB itself?
This is an Android issue....the only way I solved it myself was get access to a blackberry (yeah I know) or the virtual Blackberry software for windows.
Once logged in to Facebook log straight back out, you only need it for a minute, then go to Facebook on a PC, account settings and then apps I believe, in there somewhere will be Facebook for Blackberry, allow this access and that's it!
Its a bit fiddly but it solved it for me!
If you Google the right thing you will find a step by step guide, sorry I did this a year ago, so its all from memory :-\

I can confirm this. When I was still using my Galaxy S2 and lacked notifications for Facebook, I used the virtual blackberry software for windows from the RIM site, and logged in on facebook with that to fix the problem. It's been mentioned a few times before.
this is an well-known issue and affecting majority of Android devices, there are two workarounds
1. use MB Notifications for Facebook from Android Market
2. try the Blackberry FB tricks here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1386394
I used the 2nd method and it works like a charm

Or use Friendcaster (or Friendcaster Pro) from the market.
I get all notifications with no problem by using this app and it has a push setting too (although it is still a bit buggy atm)

[Q] [mySENSEv RC 3.5, stock rom] 1 line message preview bug

I'm not sure is it in this ROM or also bug in stock one...
In messaging app > settings > message preview, when I choose 1 line, he show me messages with 1 line preview only a short period of time... Next time I get in, it is 2 line preview but still 1 line in settings...
Some kind of bug or... Is there a cure? It's not a big thing but it is irritating...

Contact pictures
Hey there, just saw couple days ago, my stock sms app doesn't showing contact pictures any more. Anyone have similar "problem"? Cure? o/ (rom msensev rc3.5)
try clearing cache/data for the app. corrupted settings/data for the app may be the issue. as far as i know there is no bug. and it could be related to you flashing the fix app. which needs to establish its own settings and not use the data/cache from the old app. so clear thosr things and readd. should work fine.

unable to complete previous operation due to low memory

I was trying to upload a picture to a forum and it kept Chrome kept giving me the message "unable to complete previous operation due to low memory". Why does it do this and how can I successfully upload the image? I took the image with the camera on the Tab so it's not too big.
Usually low memory means you have low ram storage the best thing to do is to use app killers if you are rooted or just close apps when you are done with them aka instead of using the home button press the back button

I figured one solution for this that has worked for me. While I was working on an issue with the android stock browser, I realized there was an issue with clicking on a hidden form field using jQuery. I used this method on a file upload spot so I could style the upload form.
Developer fix:
The way around this is to set opacity to 0, position absolute and hide the form element. Hope this helps.
User fix:
I have not seen a user fix as of this point.

Worked for me too.
So where do I find 'Developer tools' on my Nexus 5?
The above suggested solution has not worked for me. I have cleared all history, shut down all tabs, updated to the latest version of Chrome. I have even uninstalled apps I have recently installed such as AVG protection (not even sure I need that, can anyone tell me?) ..and I tried to install an app killer and boot manager, both of which won't work without first installing Xposed Framework and when I tried to install that (after half an hour trying to find it) my phone went mad with warnings about bootloops and bricks and asked me if I was sure..fair frightened me to deaths and I abandoned the whole idea!
Now can anyone help me to solve this problem?
I can upload to Facebook fine but any other forums I'm still getting the 'Could not perform previous operation due to low memory! I have over 11GB of storage and plenty of memory as I'm not running anything. As stated I have a Google Nexus 5 on Lollipop Help!
it woork thanks so much

Where do I go to find "Developer Options"?
To get devoloper options open,
goto settings,
about device or about phone.
Then start tapping on build version or build number until developer options becomes available.
press the back button.
you should now be in settings and developer options should be near the bottom of the list.

Yep. That did it for me as well. What the hell? That is just weird they require that to be off. You can download a video, but not upload a picture? I can also upload it to the actual apps. But when I tried on the browser....... Nope. Tf?! lol. But yeah. Thanks for posting that. I would've probably been forever lost trying to find out why it wont.
Figured out
Removed the option to kill apps after use in developers options and it all worked fine for me
Thank you!
Solution worked here, too!
Makes sense to me. As soon as you select the photo, the system dumps the procedure, causing it to fail, and giving us yet another cryptic error message.

This setting on my Lg G5 running Android 7 was already off but I still encounter this same problem. I have plenty of free RAM. Worse of all, I am trying to upload on Google Docs form using Chrome. Google should be able to handle this.

Sorry but I am not as educated as you are on these options,. Example: how do I check the background load and what is considered a normal range. Which developer options should I be looking at. I only have debugging enabled and only allowing 2 background apps to be running at a time. As I type this reply the app Cooltool is showing that my CPU% is between 61% and 97% and I have approximately 400 to 300MB of memory.

There is a app process or service keeping your load high.
You can track it down by using that same cool tool app.

Thanks for your help. With your suggestions I found them and now running much much better.
On another topic I noticed you have done some custom developing for the SM-T800. I have rooted all of my previous tablets but not this one because I know that it will be updating to Lollipop shortly and I want to update first. Will you be doing any custom developing for Lollipop?

Nexus 5x - "Allow" button (permission)

Hi everyone,
Can't push the a "Allow" button when an app asks for a permission. (any apps)
Is it a known issue ? or it can be fixed somehow ?
Thanks again,
Do you have any apps running that do things like dim your screen or changed the color? Many of those are known to interfere with the package installer which I think comes into play when you press those buttons.

There is an app overlaying that is causing the issue.
Go to:
Settings > Apps > Configure apps (cog button at the top) > Special access > Draw over other apps
(note the path may be different on your phone, this is how its done on android N)
Turn off Permit drawing over other apps for the apps listed. Do it one by one. Between turning it off for each app, check and see if you can hit "OK" for new permissions.

I wonder if you did it right. So, to clarify, you denied all of the apps listed in the Draw over other apps menu the ability to draw over other apps? All switches to the left and grayed out? Then you tried to open an app that requests some kind of permission? The permission dialog opened but you were still unable to select "Allow"?
Had similara behavior. In my case it was the File Manager HD app.
Only appeared after OTA back to M from N preview.
