I wonder what would be new. Echo problem fix?

new baseband definitely

It will probably be released in odin compatible form which means that likely we will have to wait until he releases helmdall files than somebody will have to make a cwm flashable version.

thats fine with me. I already got ICS a new, better build/port is just icing on the cake

Checked twitter and he posted he is not doing anything

i already have a bash script to do most of the work but it needs a system.img.ext4 and boot.img
I wont be able to run myscript

Awesome! Can anyone report in about any of our previous issues? Specifically call Echo and (possibly) wifi calling compatability/qik video calling compatability? I understand if not fixable yet for the latter two since they are, after all, t-mo features

What tools can be used to do this? I've never been able to pull anything useful from these kind of .exes.

Mobile ODIN

Looks like Chainfire just released an app that lets us flash firmwares straight from the phone, AND it keeps us rooted throughout the process! Pretty sweet!

Not for us yet though.

Found this in software development. Looks like the att version is already supported and I posted a support request already for our version. Please read as this would be just another way to restore our phones without affecting download counter. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1347899 BTW made by chainfire so you know its good.

Yah Chainfire makes pretty legit stuff.
just send a PM to CF and ask to include our T989
as i recall from the Heimdall developer there was something different about our phone, so CF will need to make the necessary changes for it to work as well
so does Heimdall needs to be updated to support our phone
Coming from E4GT
Hi,
It's been 3 months since last comment, and I installed mobile ODIN on my SGS2 E4GT just a few days ago. Works great, but was wondering if there are any news about whether the TMO SGS2 is supported yet. I switched to TMO and my phone is still "virgin".

Do not flash the new ICS Leak!

Do NOT flash new ICS Leak, you will brick. We have had one hard-brick/hardware issue (don't know which one). I repeat do not flash. I myself encountered 8 soft bricks.
Anyone with a confirmed working flash out there?

Wait not all sr roms work with your phone? Why not? Every rom should. But if there is a difference between your phones, i suggest holding out. Never a good idea to accept an ota when rooted and rom'd. This is especially true if your ROM is JB and you accept an ICS ota. It is still fresh in the community's hands but rest assured anything of value from this small update will be integrated into community ROMS.

The official radio was posted on July 16 out of the FG01 by Sextape. Initially he didn't want to release the full FG01 so he just did the radio, but after a few days changed his mind and released the whole enchilada. So, if you head to that link you can grab just the radio if that is all you're interested in.
no one should be including radios in roms.
and there was a cwm flashable zip of the radios made teh day they leaked
Is there any advantage to flashing that radio? I'm on the jellin Rom, with fd02 radio.

Unfortunately it says the the report wasn't confirmed by Samsung, and it also says that its still gonna have to go through the carriers... dunno how att is because I'm new but I know vzw is a huge Hassel when it comes to pushing through any upgrades. Hopefully the code Samsung wrote form its handset gets leaked though because then we will have the capability to flash it without waiting for carrier approval.

Despite the fact that it's not really official (no Samsung confirmation) it's still good news. I doubt this would be an invented news, there's gotta be some truth behind it... now as for the carriers' part in this, that's another matter!

My theory is that the Jelly Bean leak since is actually a Sammy leak and is still being worked on by Tmobile and AT&T uses the almost the same kernel both d2 the devices. The new jelly bean leak has LTE settings in it meaning that you can set AT&T LTE/PTA APN settings and use 4G LTE in theory. Their are risk because the leak contains a new baseband, you can always reflash back to an older baseband though so this is not the biggest deal. The update does not include a new bootloader so no worries their. And you can always flash back to ICS. In my mind this may be worth fixing up a few files to see if it works. I'm going to give a try. I'll report back.
Looking forward to what you uncover drew

The system and everthing seems to copy over fine, it's the kernel that's giving me trouble right now. I'm going to work on it some more and see what I can find out, but by that time I'm sure an AT&T version will be out.
I'm still working on it and will continue.
What about using ktoon's or faux' JB kernel in the meantime?
