my tab was All Signed. I can flash JME to This firmware. No need to wipe. Odin 1.7 flashed only PDA and Manually reboot with Power+up.
it's smooth so far.

Is this for general Asia Pacific region or only for Thailand?
What's the decryption code for the enc file?
I am currently using DXJM4 version, but go through Kies, no updates available. Very weired.

it's asia version not only thailand , it think euro can use it as well because mine can use euro firmware version.
decrypt code, you can see above. try to look at it again.
anyway after I use Odin to flash,it can't update via kies anymore. normally kies firmware will roll up after fus in a few day or longer.

We need Roto to makes his version of this...im sure he will soon.

IF YOUR BOOT IS STILL UNSIGNED , DO NOT FLASH SBL AND BOOT FROM THIS ROM.
It is very solid build. very smooth and browser seems to be smoother, scrolls better even when pages are still loading.
No extra apps.
Unlike KA build , kernel is signed so it can loaded if u have signed bootloader (jm*)
Very few locales, just english uk, english na and some asian.
You can repack it without sbl and boot files and flash on the top of the signed roms.

I'd like to. I have family events to attend to tomorrow, but if someone would post an unencoded firmware for download, Ill grab it and apply all the JME mods to it. In the meantime, feed back on KM2's quality is valuable. I'd hate to waste time on it just to go back to JME

Understandable....samfirmware release a bunch...all at the same time. JMF also release...so i would say it is the same as KM2 but for europe!
I have been trying to download it from samfirmware and decode it...but the site is not working.

Guys...I just downloaded JMF and unless you can understand Russian - You cannot get back.
The moment the phone boots, it's all Russian (or greek, or something!)
I was listed under the EURO rom, i DOwnloaded and Odin it..... but I cannot get the language to go English.
I tried to go to Locale to change it to English - but Have no idea where I am.
I tried to flash JME back, but the tab still boots up in Russian.
How can I get it back to JME?
Out of frustration I flashed the JME pit file, but not difference, still Russian.
I'm stuck

Don't flash KM2 either.
KM2 only includes english (UK, US), Bahasa (Indonesia, Malaysia) Ting Viet and other asian locales

I got so excited and panicked when I noticed this STRANGE language on my TAB. I did Managed to fix the language in Local & Text, top option and scrolled down to English!
WHOALA - JMF works just time.

Pretty sure they havent announced it yet, they said they were goin to show it off in MWC, probably wont be released by may-june, by then we will have cyanogen mod honey comb on this thing

one more thing,I don't know where to upload 3xxMB decrypted firmware , it's too big and my upload is just only 512kbps.
and I think decrypt and unzip,it's less than 5 minutes for me. or someone can help for this.
anyway, you should wait for .apk unprotect signed from roto/chainfire and flash other firmware that isn't signed.

Thanks, I will sure to download and upgrade my current DXJM4.

I downloaded firmware and it's .ecn. I can't rename file type to .zip. What can I do with it?

Samfirmware.com has this version without encrypted code.
Anyway, how could we flash this firmware without boot.bin, Sbl.bin, zImage.
As long as Roto puts his hand on this firmware. I wont dare to flash to my GT.

Why is everyone depending on Rotohammer? Open it up with 7zip or similar, delete the offending stuff (sbl, boot, zImage) ...whatever and then flash it. Simple.

[Q] Making a Full FW from a NON-Full FW

A new day and a new headache made by me
Today's question is : is it possible to make a full fw from upgrade fw???
two days ago i ripped a non-full firmware from kies now i want to make it full
but i wanted to get confirmation from XDA-developers that this is possible
can i just add the missing files from prior fw to the new one and it will be a full one??
i am talking about a full 1.02 to complete a non-full 1.2

Bootfiles can be added to non-full firmwares to make it a full firmware. I have tried that myself. But adding ShpApp to the non-full firmwares won't work. You will end up with the facebook, twitter, samsungapps, daily briefing and other default apps not working. If you really want the older ShpApp files, you may want to modify the non-full firmware's registry to include the apps present in the ShpApp file you want.

You may dump all files from full and updated shppapp with powerfull TriX tool, replace are old files to new and combine new full shppapp with files from update.

You just had to take full ShpApp.app from a full version.
Idem for boot files.
No need PFS file.
The files needed are: BOOTFILES, amss.bin, apps_compressed.bin, CSC_S8500_Open_Europe_Common_OXA_XXJL2.csc, FactoryFs_S8500_Open_Europe_Common.ffs, Rsrc_S8500_Open_Europe_Common.rc1, Rsrc2_S8500_Open_Euro_Common(Low).rc2, ShpAppHD.app (this one need to be replaced by ShpApp.app)

But generaly FFS is present in update firmware.

i tried what you said lasentenza and ended up with non-working facebook,twitter,youtube(makes the phone restart),samsung apps,sms app(makes the phone restart also)
i think the problem is not that simple

Depend on your goal... as repair solution?
Factoryfs.ffs is mandatory if you erase with Multiloader the FFS... as it contain important Security folder with all Certs...
Sometimes Operator related Certs included... Yes, you could try other FFS from your Product Code. No guarantee that it work 100 % without sideeffects. As sometimes minor changes... Same for ShpApp.app. Older stuff can work, but have to be tested...
Maybe post please exact filenames. Sometimes same files are used in other Firmware Brandings...

What you need is a Indian CSC file. Just replace the CSC file in the firmware with the one I in an Indian 1.0.2 or 1.0 firmwares available at samfirmware.com. Like DDJI2 or DDJK1. Then in keypad type "*#5239870*#". Then choose pre-configuration. Then in the code box enter the following code: *#27236*# and then press done. Then choose INU which is for Indian region. NOTE: Remove sim card and memory card and backup all data before doing this. This procedure will reset whole phone.
Now you will get all default Indian sim card settings and other Indian settings.

It won't work it the update firmware does not contains FFS file.
You can't take one from other firmware I think

you can get one from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465800.XXLA2 is the latest european.but kitchen cant decompile these img files.you must use a backup from your rom.thats the way i did it.but also download the firmware from the link igave to take the boot.img from there.

well on another phone i had before this...
i had csutom settings,,
like management of governors and io...in return both either gives you better response or save battery..
my older phone doesnt support gb or live wallpapers.so after doing a custom rom..i now had that features..
as for the galaxy y..
so far the custom rom are just themed and a2sd support and removed bloatware,,
make your phone fast and lite but still basically is pretty much like the stock roms...
just looks better,functionality,,
naaa,,,long way to go,,
a2sd was just made to work couple of days ago...
no oc,no undervoltage..so nothing much really..

cm,,is a very customizable rom itself,,
without the custom kernel,,its just a themed stock rom...

not really..
you can get csc pda etc rom samfirmware or sam mobile,,,(please google)all stock roms are there as well..
csc can also be found..
complicated not really..
as long as you know which files are for...
odin basically has labels on em...so just find the file save on pc flash on look for the box in odin that says csc or pda grab the file and click start..and wait...and pray electricity doesnt go bonkers...

Every Stock ROM has 3 parts:
PDA, CSC, Modem
PDA - it is the kernel, Android OS, the user interface, and all the applications
CSC - Carrier Specific Configuration (maybe) - this part has setting for a given provider's setup (Internet access, voicemail numbers, default homepages, sometimes carrier bloatware, etc...)
Modem - this is the phone, wifi, bluetooth, fm radio functionality
The naming convention of a Stock ROM package specifies, which languages, network providers and communication frequencies supported by a given pack.
For example:
S5360XXLA2_S5360OXXLA2_RST_S5360XXLA2_HOME.tar.md5
S5360DXLA1_S5360OLBLA1_S5360DXLA1_HOME.tar.md5
The package name consist of the following parts in order: PDA, CSC, Modem
coding
PDA:
S5360 - implicit, the phone model
XX: landcode - specifies which countries, languages supported by the user interface. In this case XX is multilang european build for countries Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, languages de,en,es,fr,hu,it,nl,pt(cs,da,el,fi,no,pl,sl,sv,tr )
DX: Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam. Languages: en,id,ms,th,vi,zh(ta)
LA2 - version build identifier: L for 2012, A for January, 2 for second build
CSC:
S5360 - implicit, the phone model
OXX: Multi CSC for several european countries. Included country codes: ATO AUT COS CPW CYO CYV EIR EUR FOP ITV MOO PAN PHE SUW TPH XEF XEH XEO XEU XEZ XSK

letter code meaning same as PDA, sometimes the modem is different (older) version as PDA, not all packs have new modem.
So back to your question, If you need french lang support, then you have to choose firmwares in its name "XX" in the PDA version
But replacing CSC will not give you additional lang support.

You don't need any zip or tar file. Install Root Explorer and then copy system folder to SD card. Then install Terminal emulator and write -
su
dd if=/dev/block/bml7/boot.img of=/sdcard/boot.img
You will get a copy of boot.img in your sdcard
Now connect phone to PC and on desktop make a folder named WORKING_STOCK and copy both, the boot.img and SYSTEM folder from SD card to the folder. This is your Stock ROM

[Guide] How to Make it Working
These Couldbe Some Simple Way to Make it Work in your Device
Prepare This:
Dowload the File Above in #1 Choose What you need there
CWM 6102 from [email protected] *Recommended
MicroSD Card with Minimum Space 300MB
Terminal Emulator APK you can Search in Play
Last but not Least "GUTS"
Second Step:
Install Terminal Emulator.APK in your Device
Put CWM 6102 in Your Root SD Card
Extraks Your Choosen *.Zip above (not the CWM 6102)
put The Folder in sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/"here" or Create New Folder There
Sample: sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/DXLJ2_XSE

Make Sure you only Put These file Inside:
"system.rfs.tar" and "boot.img"
you may choose only one of them or Both but for good put Both Inside

Open Teminal Emulator, Write These:

cd sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/DXLJ2_XSE
Make sure it As Same As the Original one that you made before, The Capital, The Spase and others mustbe in Same

This will list everything inside your current directory (backup files of that particular backup)

Make Sure you only Put These file Inside:

system.rfs.tar
boot.img
Now to make a new nandroid.md5 file
Code:
md5sum *tar > nandroid.md5
or If you want to Put Kernel Inside Too
Code:
md5sum * > nandroid.md5
Now its ready to be used in restore inside CWM..
Last Step:
Turn off Your Device
Get Into RECOVERY MODE
Instal Update From SD
Choose CWM 6102.ZIP
In CWM Recovery for Better but you may Skip These Wipe Data, Cache and System
Choose Mount and Storage
Mount All Partition specially System Partition, make it shown "Unmount"
Choose Backup and Restore
Choose Restore (or Choose Advance and Choose Restore System Only if You want Restore System Only)
Choose Folder Backup that you've named before: sample "DXLJ2_XSE"
Thats it... Let it Finish Restoring
Now Reboot Your Device
Thats It As Simple As That

Help wanted
Since i cannot pack with Other Firmwares / Devices to support all Users here.
So i can only Made and Share My Own Backedup systems and kernels.
If there is anyone who dare to Help Others you may share your backup here.
I would love to put in First Page with your credits.
For More clear and avoid warez apps shared. Please be sure to make it as Fresh as Possible.
If you dare enought to share here.
I Recommend you to do this:
​1. Flash Your Wipe Pack FW by Odin
2. After Flashed well and Bootloop Turn off your device by remove the Batere.
3. Go to Recovery Mode
to Wipe Data and Cache
Install CWM​4. In CWM Recovery do Backup and let it Finish
5. REBOOT your Phone.
Or you can skip. No 4. And reboot
But please not to Register any gmail and No backup and restore just scipt all just use it without any activity. Atleas untill your device and sd run properly.
- Turn of Your Device
- Goto Recovery Mode to install CWM
- Now in CWM recovery
- Choose Backup and Restore.
- just Do Backup and let it Finish.
- Reboot Your Phone.
AFTER ALL Running WELL Open eksplorer app.
Go to sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/"here".
Find your Backed Up folder in it.
Now sellect file named "system.rfs.tar and boot.img" inside.
Pack it by 7Zip or winrar or else
Upload it in Mediafire or else
And send me the link with enought description.
I'll add your credits here

arabic not sure.. i think it doesnt..
whats with the stable and fast! its stock.. all stock versions are same with any csc... stability and speed doesnt change with diff in csc..
