[Q] Optus Branded HTC One X - Boot Animation - HTC One X

Hello there,
can someone please help me remove the extremely annoying optus boot animation that comes with optus branded phones courtesy of optus.
did i say optus enough?
i have already unlocked the bootloader (htcdev)
flashed cwm recovery + root SU
is there a way to use a custom boot animation or just simply disable the crappy optus one?

I just installed leedroid and it wiped my Optus boot animation and what a great Rom.
But if I was to use my stock Optus Rom is there a way to add my own custom boot animation?

Rooting and De-branding One V

Hey guys,
Just few questions. I have O2 locked and branded device.
I have successfully unlocked boot loader on my One V, also successfully rooted (i believe). CWM installed and old rom backed up.
Now I need to know how to flash stock rom Europe? I tried RUU Europe after root, but RUU was throwing errors and nothing happens. I tried rotted stock rom, all went fine except phone has no signal. I heard that to flash RUU I need to change CID, i tried and it won't change.
Could you please advice best route?
Also what is best stable fast custom rom for One V
Thanks
Hi
Is there already a way to de-brand a One V?
Since even with a unlocked bootloader there is still S-On
Regards
max
to again return to stock rom after rooting u need to relock your bootloader
fastboot oem lock
then get into bootloder mode and run the ruu
WARNING YOU WILL LOCK YOUR Bootloader and LOSE ROOT

With S-On it is quite impossible to change CID to debrand (AFAIK) but the phone is new, so development just started.
Thanks for reply
How about custom roms? Which one is most stable and fast for One V? Also with unlocked bootloader and CWM recovery, is it just download rom, move to memory card and apply update from zip file in CWM recovery?
until today the rc 2.0 is the best available rom for our device
dont just say thanks hit thanks if i helped

I think for now that the stock is all right for me at least... Practicaly the update is just as you said. Unlock BL, get working recovery, get SU pack zip to SD enter recovery and flash.

[Q] what to do after HTC ONE V s-off

Hello:
I saw some posts here were discussing s-off HTC one V.
After s-off, what to do with the HTC ONE V.
current my device is running rooted virgin mobile stock rom, is there any Sprint stock rom compatible with HTC ONE V? Does anyone know how to install a sprint stock rom on it?
thanks

Now you don't need to flash kernel separately using fastboot.
And if the kernel's boot.img is not present in the ROM's zip, just replace the zip's boot.img with the appropriate one.
You can also change you CID number to the super CID, and change the original HTC boot screen form the crap one with red writing to anything you please. I am still looking for EngHboot options we could use, but its a steep and long learning curve for me.

Maximus HD ROM hang on boot (HTC Logo)...

Ok so I wanted an RUU ROM unbranded and stock for my Mrs HTC One X (Which is T-Mobile locked), but due to CID, S-ON etc I could not flash it... The I was told that T-Mobile nt bothered to make a JB 4.2.2 S5 OTA ROM Updated, and was told to use the Maximus HD custom ROM, I went ahead and downloaded the ROM, the Kernel, flash the Kernel and installed the ROM via custom recovery, but the phone now hangs on the HTC logo at boot... probably because the phone nt S-OFF, which ,according to the developer, is needed to install the ROM, so why was I advised to install this ROM as I mentioned that I can't seem to be able to S-OFF the phone?? and why was I told that the HTC One X can't be S-OFF, yet the developer of the Maximus HD seems to state that this ROM is good for the HTC One X, but the phone needs to be S-OFF? so can this phone be S-OFF?? and is this the reason why the ROM hangs at boot (HTC logo)??
I WAS TOLD NOT TO BE CONFUSED, BUT I AM !!! AND I AM AN IT ENGINEER !!! LOL!!

Unable to go into TWRP recovery

Hey all
I have HTC One m8 (telstra edition) and was not able to get into recovery after flashing my rom. I get the black screen with the phone and red triangle thing.
Anyone know why? Also, if I was to require updating TWRP, what version would I use for Telstra edition HTC One M8?
That's the stock recovery I believe. You need to flash twrp. If you have root, you can flash it with an app called Flashify or else you'll have to do it the fastboot way.

Go check this video out.
How to Root, Add Custom Recovery & Unlock Bootloa…: http://youtu.be/1NYP7V2ltpI
Also, the reason you can't see anything when you go into the recovery is because it's still on the stock recovery. Basically the one you flashed wasn't flashed properly. Use the .exe from the video in the description to flash ClockworkMod recovery.
