Hi, I want to know if some one can tell me which setting is the "Unknown Source" allow??
ICS have this option or settings?
Cheers,
LimX
At the options menue---> safety--->unknown source allow to install .apks straight from the phone, not using signed market apps.

Ok, if I go to settings / CyanogenMod settings / system / update notifications, it says that to enable push notifications, you must register your device with the update servers. I hit register, then get the error that registration failed. Is this suppose to give you a notification that there's a new update/version to download?
wrong post. please post in Q&A thread.
Isn't that only a feature you can use if you have rom manager premium?

He's not talking about the update notification in RM. He's talking about the one built into the settings in CyanogenMod.
I haven't been able to get it to work either

It still requires ROM Manager premium, and it still doesn't work.
Works in RC not with nightly
...even tho its says registration failed thru RM premium, I still receive the notification that a nightly is out....

Hi,
Is there a way to unlock google navigation outside the US?
thanks
There isn't an official way. Google for some reason doesn't let navigation work in many countries (including Greece that I live in).
With every update there is a modded apk around that enables worldwide navigation. Don't have it atm.The only drawback is that you have to find the apk with every new version in play store so that you have the latest changes.

First you need to root your Hox so you can delete the old maps from system /app. Then download the hack version her http://htcfanboys.com/download/rawdealer/?action=view&file=12523

thanks mate. To avoid having two icons, I went to Settings > Apps > Found the original Maps app and disabled it.

Not on my Stock 4.2.1 :S
Rooted and have busybox installed?
You can also edit net.hostname in your build.prop
Yes rooted + busybox.. but that would go back to stock whenever I update my ROM ?
Also, how exactly can I do that?
no one?

It's no woo-do magic here
Code:
setprop net.hostname <x>
where x is the hostname. You can google more about it http://lmgtfy.com/?q=android+how+to+change+device+hostname
But, it is reset everytime you reboot the phone.
Hi all,
just updated to build 9. Awesome ROM, but i found these annoying SoftNav buttons after flashing.. Could not find any option to disable the SoftNav bar. Is there any way to get rid of it?
Settings > Chromium ROM settings > Expanded desktop > Status bar visible. Hold power button for a few seconds until power menu comes up and then choose Expanded desktop.
Got it!
Tricky.. Thanks a lot!
Thanks, were looking for that, too.
Also, you posted some recommended settings here. Where do I find those options?

Maybe I'm blind, but I don't have that option in the menu. Is that any possible?
Just to verify it, I uploaded screenshots of my menu. There is no "performance".

Oops sorry about that. To enable the performance section you need to go to about phone and tap on build number 7 times. Then it should appear along with developer settings.
Hey guys,
Can anyone grab me the name of the stock camera app? Should be something like com.samsung.camera.
You can get it with an application called APK Extractor from the Play Store.
I need this info for work, so I would really appreciate it.
FYI: I manage devices via an MDM, built a general profile to allow apps, but forgot that apps have different names across different devices.
The app is enabled under the wrong name for this device and I need the name so I can add it to the MDM.
Thanks a lot!
You mean package name**
It's com.sec.android.app.camera
