The beta Rom is now in development thread but plz remember that its BETA so few bugs here & there are imminent..
You can discuss bugs and other general talk here or in development (prefer here Bcoz tats development section)..
Remember its BETA Rom..
EDIT: BETA DELETED..WILL BE OUT ON FRIDAY..
Review:
The beta at the moment is very laggy..
Boot.IMG is the cause of it..ri8 now they are trying to fix it..if it gets fixed then there will be a release tomorrow otherwise it will be released next Friday..
After testing it here are the pros & cons of it..
PROS:
1.stock camera along with imagesense is preserved
2.beats seems to be almost preserved(though there are no profiles to be selected)
3.overall no FCs or crashes in any apps(super stable).
4.the Rom is almost translated in English with some miui apps remain in Chinese(will be resolved by miuiandroid.com)
5. AWESOME browser experience..the best I have used till date..excellent speed toggles and tab management..
6.HTC music app as well as miui music apps are provided giving you freedom of choice..same goes for gallery app..
7.awesome battery life.
8.minimum heat generation..(phone is coolest on miui)
9.holding back button kills the app.
10.volume keys to wake device works flawlessly.
11.everything works..
CONS:
1.Very laggy at the moment..
2.HTC beats makes HTC music app a lot louder and clearer then miui music..
3.gallery is laggy.
4.the overall PNGs are still not optimized and appear hazzy or stretched at places.(eg: the dialer)
5.facebook contacts WON'T appear in people and in contacts it shows HTC fb integeration script in fb account..
6.no fb contact sync for now..
The above all is only my experience after using and testing it..
The final realese may differ a lot..
here's the thread for tweaked beta..

I want MIUI v4 too!.
I think most of the users want this, but lots of the new HTC One X users, haven't found their way to xda, or are still at the original rom, because they don't want to unlock via htc-dev.
(The same for me, i'm still waiting for an alternative solution like revolutionary or something similiar)
MIUI v4 would be the first rom i flash xD.
I would realllllllllllyyyyyyy want miui4

I would love to see official MIUI v4 support for this phone!
I just switched from a Desire running MIUI for the past year and although Sense provides a nice interface I'm missing the flexibility and awesomeness of MIUI
Sense is just to power and memory hungry for my taste.

I'd like MIUI on my One X. Been using it on the Desire for ages and it's the only ROM I've stuck with and remained happy with.
Would be great to see MIUI on this gorgeous phone.

And its not miui site even its miuiandroid.com which just translates Chinese miui Roma to eng..

Hey guys,
I've recently discovered a loop hole in the Sense 4 lockscreen on the One X. It would be greatly appreciated if you bring awareness to this issue. Unfortunately, since this is my first post, I am unable to include any links to the YouTube video I have made. Hopefully I can post it as a reply to this thread because its very interesting.
I think I'm the only one that knows about this. So please comment if you have this issue too.
I'm guessing you mean where you can get the ICS entry screen on the security lock?

No, but if your the guy that left a comment on the Engadget post about HTC and left a link to your video too than its your video I've seen.
I wouldn't call it a bug, as it doesn't affect the system in a negative way, in fact I think it looks better then the Sense overlay they added.

Haha small world! I have the Galaxy Nexus and it was my brothers One X. He always tells me to find a way to disable Sense or find a ROM that uses the Stock ICS. He believes that native ICS on the One X would be the best.
I'm loving my Galaxy Nexus, can't wait to get my hands on the Galaxy S 3 and so excited to see what the next Nexus would be like.
It kinda sucks that I can't post the YouTube link here though.

Hey dude, I'm the guy with the funny voice talking about the glitch with the HTC Sense, I've been looking for a Custom ROM which runs on the Vanilla ICS for the One X but I have been unlucky
If you ever come across any good build Custom ROMS please do let me know.
Cheers, and do pass the link around, perhaps someone would know how to bypass the HTC Sense without having to complete it replacing it

Until you get enough posts to include links, you can always get around that by putting spaces in the URL, which people can then remove.

I was going to get the Nexus, but then the One X sorta got dragged into the equation and it was purely because of the displays that I went for the One X. I probably would have gone for the One S were it non-pentile. I don't care what you say, the One X is pure gorgeous compared to the S3

I'd do a search for you, but I'm using my phone at the moment not a computer and I'm extremely busy. If you browse the development section of the One X forums I know for a fact there is a One X Vanilla ROM. Don't bother searching, just go OneX>Development and browse around those top threads, plenty of other ROM's there too. It'll likely be on page 1 or 2.

Yeah I personally didn't like the design of the Galaxy S 3, the One X does look sexy but ever since my Sensation XE I've lost interest in HTC Sense. The Galaxy S 3 interface intrigues me although I hate Touchwiz. Well, I wouldn't mind giving it a try by the time the next Nexus comes out

I agree, Sense 3 was too heavy, Sense 3.5 was a fail and despite being created in tandem with Sense 4, Sense 3.6 really doesn't improve much.
Sense 4, different story. Still unstable, but give it a few months
Samsung's are only fast because they have **** software on then, that's an opinion not a fact. Touchwiz offers NO functionality more than the Stock Vanilla launcher, so why bother?
S3 + Vanilla hits the spot, but so does the One X

The one thing I long for on my phone is the time when the phone is locked. Old devices used to do it, like old Nokia's and the Lumia Symbian devices
For me, Sense improves the overall experience. I see Sense as an OS. Really it is Sense featuring Android, not Android featuring Sense, but that just shows how dedicated to improving and innovating software HTC are, now optimization is the key!
Phones need something like Windows Update, exploits and problems are found all the time, but fixes are never rolled out individually unless they are extremely crucial.

Thanks for pointing the space technique out bro, I was aware of it but could be bothered spacing it as jaaystott has already provided the link.lol
I've noticed a lot bugs mostly with the stock browser which I hardly use (mostly using Chrome), and I think HTC should invest a little more time on it as it's their flag-ship, but I'm also disappointed with how the One S beats the One X in all benchmarks. tsk tsk tsk....
Hopefully a well built ROM (Vanilla ICS) will come along and will get rid of all the heavy stuff in HTC Sense and will give a bit of an extra boost performance wise.

I've been following the development of Cyanogenmod 9 and 10 with growing interest and with the roms growing ever nearer to completion I was wondering if someone could tell me what the advantages are of Cyanogenmod 9 & 10 (other than being Jelly Bean).
What exactly are the advantages of CM over the Stock HTC roms?
cyanogen is a mod that every one from a android newbie to Google Android creator's knows... in simple words it gives u experience of stock ics or jb as it shld and released by Google and without any useless stuffs or ui's that are forced into ur phone against ur wish by the manufacturer i hope now its clear? if u wanna know more ask ur friend Google. com

That's how far my knowledge already went, I guess what I'm trying to figure out is, how does it compare to stock HTC on the One V? Faster/More stable? Any features that the stock lacks?
It can he a bit fester, because its missing the bloatware and ofcause its Vater because cm10 runs JB . And in asome Roms there are New tweaks linke the statusbar control.

I don't think your supposed to post this here, but there is a post somewhere in the general section for One V talking about it.
On a side note: A lot of people, I believe at least, are waiting for it to be port to a device with a "not so different" screen then ours or more similar hardware.

HTC wont be releasing an official JB rom for the OneV but eventually, they will release something similar enough that we can port. We have no hardware limits, like the wildfire S does/did so the sky is totally our limit
The one x+ shipped with sense jellybean I will try to learn ROM porting this Christmas after I learn kernels

Hey Guys!
I was just wondering whether any developers are working on porting Sense 5.0 to the HTC One X as I'd love to experience blinkfeed and all the performance increases Sense 5.0 will bring so I was just wondering whether any devs were working on a rom based on it. So far I can see that there are Sense 5 roms for the HTC J Butterfly/Droid DNA and there are theme packs for the One X but I would really like blinkfeed and the updated Rosie launcher. I've heard HTC Is updating the One X, S, J and butterfly to Sense 5 officially but god knows how long they'd take.
tl:dr
Are any devs working on Sense 5 for the HOX?
Regards,
No one as far as I know, and as you aware of, It would be meaningless to port Sense 5 when it's going to be officially released to our phone.

Man, the porting is really difficult! A lot of resize image, a lot of commands edit, files text edits... Who want to port it have to have a lot of time whatvnow us dont have! Any ways i will start porting some apps in one week, but i dont think that i am going to try porting the prism.apk (rosie with blinkfeed), the best what we can do is wait to the release of Htc!

I just hope maybe other dev will take the project from where Rich left it and provide a few more updates.

Well, maybe some dev will support viperx we will have to wait.
And i can't afford htc one, or htc m8, i am happy that i bought hox, it was a nice upgrade from Sensation, so i will settle down, see what will happen with viperx.... :S
I can't afford it either, but I could get one on contractb as my bro can get me 30% of the bill. I love my one x with viperx just feel left down by official support

HOX isnt lucky at all , once you take a look at its older brother you ca understand what I mean , if you check the HTC Sensation you will find it has much more suport
there you will have a nearly stable KITKAT ROM, not only one 1 kitkat ROM but 3 Kitakat ROM
developers there has been able to write a whole new kernel for Sensation from scratch
Team Venom over there has been able to port Sense5 to Sensation , now my sensation can run 7 different versions of Sense
Our HOX is still young but sadly there isnt much of developer love

It's not because of devs, it's because of tegra, nvidia, htc....tegra is crap for porting, nvidia is bad for drivers, and for htc is hard to relase kernel source code for nearly 4 months....
My other device with is desire hd still got MORE support than my beloved hox(and it's like 4 years old now? :/)... can't believe that the phone "died" in development for only around year and a half activity in that section. Every dev moved out from the phone like it's some kind of epic fail. Maybe it is, dunno anymore... ;(
It's not hard to understand, the phone itself is no epic fail. To me a great phone. The restrictions in hardware make it very hard to port software easy. That's the main reason !
I'll miss viper. I guess its time I go back to good ole stock.
If anyone skilled here can port ViperX+ rom to ONE X, than me and monarx could continue support to ViperX as we would be updating same base, and we would make common rom for both phone's.
Thats just an idea, i have no actual phone to try it my self, even phones are very similar it could be tricky to do it, but no impossible.
Viper Thread shouldn't be blocked, it will be the best rom for months even discontinued, if it's blocked it will die in days

No because he clearly said that they have searched for another capable dev that fits the team but without succes. Jan is to busy developing for the one.
The best thing if you want rom support is to sell the hox and by a nexus 4. Just saying
