I've been trying to find the answer to this question for ages.
Is there any way for the HTC browser to show the notification bar while browsing. Whenever i open the browser it goes to full screen and you can't see the notification bar until you close the browser again. Its very annoying when i need to quickly access a setting/notification/music changer.

But is there any way for it to permanently display the notification bar at all times?

So, when you make the browser full screen...is there a way to get the status bar to show when you want? In sense roms, you just have to hit the menu button...you don't have to exit the browser...
Seems like a petty thing, but I could live without the smart dialer...the Sense browser...but damn it, this one feature is (for some strange reason) a must...
Oh, and is there a way to disable the search bar and use the address bar that the search bar pops up on top of? (sorry if that last sentence was structured like ****...I've been at work for what seems like forever today...)
Unfortunately, I have got a little bit screen burn…
How can I hide the notification bar in app?
Are you sure that it is burned into your screen?
During the night my display is always on and I do not have any burn inns. I think in most cases it is just a slow response of the display. Try the app dead pixel from Google play and check if it blows away after some seconds.
Do you use automatic saturation?

When I test it with white color, the top of my screen is quite green, when test with other color, it's ok
I am using franco nightly 163 and foxhound 0.6
Although there is option for me to tune the color, it doesnt change.
Well…I am new in color tune, I just use the default setting of the kernel

Just randomly rotate the screen once a day, exercise those pixels so they get some even wear and tear and are not static all the time.
Using aokp, I hide the bottom bar then in web browser use full screen to hide top bar, so you have total full screen on the entire display. Then browse the web like that for a few minutes eachday. That's what I do. Not only that, but it looks phenomanal while doing it. Total HD mini tablet in your hand showing web page in 16x9 format. Awesome.
I am running Paranoid Android rom. If I press the powerbutton for 2 sec, I get the option to hide the statusbar. Maybe this is An option if others dont work..

Hide icons of running apps on the status bar? Is it possible to do this without rooting? I hate having to look at the spotify icon / whatsapp desktop and other apps icons on my status bar all the time, it looks so cluttered , I KNOW spotify it's running since the music is playing google, I'm not that stupid to know it's running in the background , if I want to look at my notifications, let's say I get an email, I'll slide down the notification bar , I don't need notifications being thrown at me all the time...

Does long pressing the notification in question not allow you to shut it off? Or am I misunderstanding your interpretation?
Press and hold the Settings icon Quick Settings for a while. You'll see a new section System UI Tuner, from. There you can turn on or off icon in the status bar area. You'll also now notice a wrench next to your settings icon in your quick setting area.
I hope this is what you're referring to.
You can also swipe right slowly and it will reveal a settings icon, tap there and turn off notification from just that app

If you do that you then silence all the notifications for that app , don't get me wrong I don't want to eliminate the notifications , I just want to eliminate the icons on the status bar .
Take a look at the picture I uploaded , see how the bar gets crowded with all those app icons from Spotify , the new York times apps etc ?
For what you're wanting, you'll need root.
Unless I click the actual notification to open the app, they won't go away until I view the app and then swipe down the notification panel. When swiping down there isn't even a notification, just the icon in the status bar.
On Android Pie
Any ideas?

I have also had this problem, mainly with Hangouts. I'm using a ROM though so maybe thats it?
I'm locked unfortunately, so no. Seems to happen with every app for me.
Hi, is there a way to keep the nav bar visible at all times in full screen apps. I hate swiping to get it to appear ... There is no such option in the nav bar options in settings... Also I have NiceLock addon for the bar but there is no such option either.
If there is no way with app or something can this be done with root?
Try asking this question on Android Central. It's a lot more active and you will probably get a response there.
