So, when you make the browser full screen...is there a way to get the status bar to show when you want? In sense roms, you just have to hit the menu button...you don't have to exit the browser...
Seems like a petty thing, but I could live without the smart dialer...the Sense browser...but damn it, this one feature is (for some strange reason) a must...
Oh, and is there a way to disable the search bar and use the address bar that the search bar pops up on top of? (sorry if that last sentence was structured like ****...I've been at work for what seems like forever today...)

As per title. I rooted my dhd a couple of weeks ago and installed cyanogenmod. It's great, although there were a few things I missed about sense. The camera app, the people widget, the high quality profile pictures pulled from facebook for my contacts, and the phone app. But cyanogen pulled a surprise on me by allowing me to move my status bar to the bottom. The cover I have for my phone has a strip that runs along the top of my screen that makes it hard to grab the status bar, so having it on the bottom is great. But the one thing I miss most from sense is being able to zoom mobile web pages. I downloaded and flashed honey sense last night, and while the new lock screen is lovely, all I want is a rom that lets me zoom mobile websites, and move my status bar to the bottom. Any ideas?
Any of the Sense ROMs should alow you to zoom and automatically resize web pages.
As for the Notifications bar, you can use Menu -> Notifications
I know I can click menu/notifications but that doesn't work unless I'm on a homescreen. All the sense roms I've tried have allowed me to zoom, what I was looking for is something that has sense so I can have the zoom functionality on mobile web pages, but has the option to move the status bar to the bottom like cyanogen.
None that I know of.
One of the earlier CoreDroid ROMs did have 360 roatable Rosie on all screens, including Home (5.3 I think).
But I have not come across any that let you to move the notifiaction bar, sorry.
I've been trying to find the answer to this question for ages.
Is there any way for the HTC browser to show the notification bar while browsing. Whenever i open the browser it goes to full screen and you can't see the notification bar until you close the browser again. Its very annoying when i need to quickly access a setting/notification/music changer.

Click to collapse
swipe down.
That works thanks
But is there any way for it to permanently display the notification bar at all times?
My wife got a new Fire Phone running FireOS 4.6.6. I rooted it, installed Google Framework and Google Now launcher. At least most seems to be working quiet nice (still some things bug me, like Facebook not working, you can't install Amazon Underground, etc.). Concept of many things is nice - but often not brought to an end..
Now, I am stuck with a problem where I couldn't find an answer (at least not one I can accept, hehe).
When I receive a notification from e.g. Whatsapp or Telegram, it won't show up as a symbol in the notification bar. When I drag down the bar, I see the stuff like "Message received" etc. But it won't show me something when I am looking at my home screen or the lock-screen. Can't you see with just a short look that you've got a new message? Do I always have to pull down the notification bar?
Even system status messages aren't shown. When I connect the phone via USB to PC, a stock android shows me this neat little graphic that the connection is established. With FireOS - nothing
Read this thread here and tried this NotifierPro, Floatify, etc.
But it's not as small, fast and nice as the stock android thing.
The thread there is almost a year old, so has something changed lately? Any way to use the notifcation bar like I used to know?
Or maybe there is a nice Xposed module??
fire os does not support status bar notification's icons

What a pity..
Any way to achieve it with an Xposed module? I think the icons could be done in an overlay or something, or is this no alternative?
For the moment I am using Floatify.. I think it just takes some days to get used to it
Hide icons of running apps on the status bar? Is it possible to do this without rooting? I hate having to look at the spotify icon / whatsapp desktop and other apps icons on my status bar all the time, it looks so cluttered , I KNOW spotify it's running since the music is playing google, I'm not that stupid to know it's running in the background , if I want to look at my notifications, let's say I get an email, I'll slide down the notification bar , I don't need notifications being thrown at me all the time...

Does long pressing the notification in question not allow you to shut it off? Or am I misunderstanding your interpretation?
Press and hold the Settings icon Quick Settings for a while. You'll see a new section System UI Tuner, from. There you can turn on or off icon in the status bar area. You'll also now notice a wrench next to your settings icon in your quick setting area.
I hope this is what you're referring to.
You can also swipe right slowly and it will reveal a settings icon, tap there and turn off notification from just that app

If you do that you then silence all the notifications for that app , don't get me wrong I don't want to eliminate the notifications , I just want to eliminate the icons on the status bar .
Take a look at the picture I uploaded , see how the bar gets crowded with all those app icons from Spotify , the new York times apps etc ?
For what you're wanting, you'll need root.
Hi, is there a way to keep the nav bar visible at all times in full screen apps. I hate swiping to get it to appear ... There is no such option in the nav bar options in settings... Also I have NiceLock addon for the bar but there is no such option either.
If there is no way with app or something can this be done with root?
Try asking this question on Android Central. It's a lot more active and you will probably get a response there.
