Im trying to compile a list of all the current ROMS that include the 4g hotspot hack. I know of the Deodexed blue rom and the Blend ICS Goodness rom. Any others?
venum ice worked great, I am on aokp build 31 right now, havent tried it cause no 4g.
Calkulin's E4GT 2 ROM had it.

So I'm looking for a vanilla ics ROM. touch wiz must die!
Trim and minimal with 4g tether.
Everything works and it's stable.
I'll settle for gingerbread if I have to but I would prefer the latest and greatest.
you're probably wondering why I'm not doing my own homework and figuring this out on my own, well I should be. I would too if I wasnt working so much, and my work doesn't allow me to net surf. Lame excuse but hey I'm honest.
Can someone link me to the awesome or am I asking too much?
There are no stable ICS ROMs yet.
Any GB ROM you choose will work. And you can theme it to look exactly like ICS.
I used Blazer ROM with ACS' ICS theme. The ROM had the 4G Sprint Hotspot hack built in, and if you choose an alternate launcher you can get rid of TW - ADW EX with Kovdev's ICS theme (from the Market) works great.
Good luck.
In my experience right now the 2 best roms out are Phantom Hackers Blazer rom and StrongSteve's odexed blue. They are all great but those 2 seem to be the most stable and smoothest running on my phone. Also everything works with those 2. Miui Is nice and I am dying to try it but it still has some bugs and with my roms I need EVERYTHING to work even if I don't use a certain feature that often.
well thank you both. before i posted this thread i used calkins ics rom which eats up batter and doesnt seem to work all that well. and ill try blazer rom as soon as i figure out how to get my cwm recovery back.
weird when i have flashed roms on htc phone the recovery is usually left alone and flashed separately.
oh well.
You're better off with the stability of an official release from that has been tweaked by a dev. Leaks are flaky and usually never without something not working. I like blazer 4 with a different theme.
What themes are compatible with blazer 4.0?

Blazer uses an ICS theme.
I'm bone stock right now (just got the et4g hours ago)
All I want is to be able to tether 4g through USB or hotspot. How should I go about doing this?
Just root the device and install a custom ROM. I suggest blazer 4.0 all current GB roms have hot spot hacks. I would stay away from ics until it becomes official and out of alpha

Appreciate it.
Root and CM here I come!
I'll look into Blazer 4.0 but i've seen lots of threads w/ those runing caulkin rom so those are probably my top 2 right now.
What's the story on e4gt aokp themes? Going through their forums, I'm guessing that none are built for us yet, will we have to wait for the damned touchwiz kernel to drop?
Supposedly you can use themes from the ns4g i haven't tried it yet though I'm going to for a friends phone next time I see him. Let me know if u try one.

really? there was a thread with this same exact thread title yesturday?
im using the shine theme for the GNex
this is how i did it, no adverse effects that i see.
1. odin el26
2. flash calks mod wipe
3. flash aokp rom
3.5. flash gapps
4. flash theme
5. reboot and enjoy
I don't think there are any specifically for the E4GT but some AOKP-based ROMs have different looks. Mijjah and VeNuM's New Nocturnal Venum 1.0 has a Minimalist ICS that's like black and white only and the 1.1 is Sense-themed in case you're interested. And yeah it's AOKP
Given the ics rings are horrible on battery what's the best GB ROM or should I stay on El13 unnamed ROM

I'm rocking calukins 3.0 gb rom with the gunslinger 1.4.0 kernel. I've been changing up the modem with the new FD releases but for a while i used either EL13 EL29 or FC22 and with those three I was getting amazing battery life. Right now I'm running the same set up but with the FD05 modem and I'm getting a full day with 3 or more hours screen on time and it still has some juice when I plug it in at night. The GPS lock on FD05 can be funny so I'm going to be trying out FD10 and FD16 the next few days to see if the battery life is as good but better GPS lock. Speeds are amazing with the FD modems in my area, these latest modems are feeling very very solid! Good luck and happy flashing buddy

I'd definitely give this a try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1449023
Was on it for a long time, but I'm now on the ICS ROM from the same developer.
It has a bunch of flashable add-ons/mods, already themed, includes the Lockscreen settings, great battery life and very stable.
UnNamed was my favorite and I didn't want to switch until I gave that ROM a try. Needless to say I loved it and couldn't go to anything else because it had everything I was looking for in a ROM.
Blazer is my favorite with the sherbert theme.
And of course calkulin's !
They're very similar though. I'm sticking with blazer 4.1 until OTA ICS

i was running Caulkin's E4GT 3.0 ever since it came out and I loved it. I just recently flashed tFD19_v0.1.0 Rooted. Odexed to check out the whole ICS realm and I kinda like it. I'm still getting used to the interface and it's still missing the hotspot services, but I've been managing with wifi tether. This rom runs pretty smooth so far and I haven't seen any random restarts or errors. with tFD16 I was getting random pauses and apps closing, but so far this rom is running nicely. I have not encountered the notification problem that other people were talking about and with the FD19 modem, my connections are really stable and fast. The new tweaks on tFD19 actually greatly increase the battery life from tFD16 and it is so much faster than tFD16. Also included in this rom is the ICS launcher to run the ICS theme AND the twlauncher if you find the ICS launcher too new and confusing.
for tFD19

I still recommend a NAND backup before trying this rom out and it flashes through the Rogue CWM nicely
My favorite roms at the moment are Blazer rom and UnOfficial ICS rom.

A big thanks to all the great folks that put the stuff I have listed here together... It has been a pleasure setting this phone up because of you guys!
I have chosen blazer yee!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am going to use all that stuff ^^^
Another vote for StrongSteve's Blue Odexed. Fast, looks awesome, excellent support and great battery life. Can't wait to see Steve's ICS rom
Blazer all the way.
Hi,
I have the droid incredible 2 (2.3.3) and I was wondering which cyanogenMod supports version 2.3.3? My phone is already rooted with Clockwork.
Thanks
If you want to stay with gingerbread, cm7. If you want to check out ics, cm9. If you want to experiment with jelly bean. Cm10

The only "official" ROM from cyanogenmod is CM7.2. Everything else is "unofficial".
That said, there are a lot of folks who are happy with aeroevan's CM9 and CM10 builds. Read the full threads to get an idea of what issues remain.
Lots of other ROMs, too.
-CM7 on DInc2
For ICS you could also try AOKP or Kangdemnation by CondemnedSoul
Hasta la vista, baby
I'd recommend kangdemnation by cs! I'm running it now and it's as close to perfect as one can expect from an ics build (atleast until we get some source codes or an ota.)

I used CM7 until yesterday, and I had no issue at all with the rom. Yesterday I installed the ParanoidAndroid 1.9.6 and I really like the hybrid rom so far, no complaints with either one.
I have been very pleased with Tasspatriot's ICS using Sense 3.6 Very smooth and everything works. Macrodroid also has a version called Arctic ICSed that can be found on the MikMik forums that is very similar and has a lot of customizable tweaks.
